Atlanta chef, Jay Swift, brings his passion and creative interpretation of seasonal comfort food to 4TH & Swift. Occupying the space that was formerly the engine room to Southern Dairies, the restaurant retains many of the original elements. Exposed brick, concrete and beams are
updated with contemporary accents such as warm woods, rich fabrics and brushed white metals.
At 4th & Swift, Chef/Owner Jay Swift has created a new level in the evolution of the dining scene here in Atlanta. Jay’s culinary focus is one based on the advancement of Southern cuisine; for Jay Southern is less about reinventing regional classics than inventing new ones using regional and local products.

"This restaurant pretty much sums up the amazing dinning in Atlanta. Everything on the menu is good, and due to the fact the menu is always changing to accomodate produce from local farms, you never know what to expect. Love the drinks to : Revenge of the Bee Keeper and and the Mexican Rx are amazing. Also I had the best Brussell Sprouts of my life here. It is always consistent and I have never had a bad meal here."

"The food, wine, service was excellent. My boyfriend and I have been wanting to go there for a while and just randomly made a reservation one night and had one of the best meals we've ever had in Atlanta. We split an appetizer and an entree and had an amazing dessert. The wine selection was outstanding and reasonably priced. We will definitely go back."

"4th and Swift never fails to exceed expectations. The food is incredible, and the desserts are amazing. Service is excellent, as well! Craig was our waiter and he was attentive and approachable. Our party enjoyed the Three Little Piggies, the vegetable plate (far from boring) along with the very salad and grilled octopus (a must try). Love this restaurant."

"Loved this place! Good pour on cocktails before being seated for dinner. Grilled octopus appetizer was fabulous, followed by a filet of speckle trout (rare to find this game fish on a menu). The server was attentive, but not intrusive. Chef came to our table and asked about the food and wine. Nice touch. Will be back! DP from Birmingham"

"We had an unpleasant brunch experience. The service was glacially slow. We ordered a basket of biscuits and muffins for while we were waiting for our food, and that took over 30 minutes to arrive. Our basic tea and coffee took over 20 minutes to arrive. The appetizer of salmon floating in asparagus soup was weird--it just didn't work. They didn't ask how my Dad wanted his lamb, and brought it extra-rare (completely red). The biscuits were great and the toffee desert was great and everything else was unremarkable at best.
4th and Swift was great when they first opened, and has been successively worse every time I've returned."

"This place was terrific. We chose the chef's pris fix offering with pairings and were very pleased with the decision. Only suggestion we would have is that your cutlery made our dinner (veal chop) quite challenging (particularly since the chop requires precision to carve around the bone). Although the preparation and quality of the cut was truely fantastic, you certainly felt as if you were clumsily sawing into a lesser cut of meat."

"This restaurant was recommended by a true Atlantan with excellent taste, high standards, and gluten intolerance as an option for celebrating our son's graduation from Tech. We were pleased beyond expectations with the service, variety of menu and wine options, and beautiful ambiance for such an occasion. Chef Jay personally congratulated our son, which made the experience even more memorable. The wait and kitchen staff are extremely accommodating when it comes to gluten intolerant guests, so you can be certain to enjoy a gourmet meal with no worries. We were also delighted to see two of our new favorite dessert cordials offered on the menu: Calvados and Eau de Vie Poire Williams!"

"4th and Swift is our FAVORITE restaurant in Atlanta. From the food to the service, we have always had an enjoyable an memorable experience. Our most recent trip included a sampling of the Meatballs, fried oysters and tuna as starters (we had 3 in our party and passed the plates around). My main was the wreckfish, you can never go wrong with the staff's recommendations! Dessert was the standard sticky toffee pudding.
We'll be back again and again and again. . ."

"Went for a dinner with 6 (3 adults and 3 teenagers). Food was very good - everyone commented on how delicious it was. Enjoyed fried oysters, salads, yellowfin tuna apps, salmon entrees, wreckfish, gnocchi...Desserts were stellar - english toffee pudding was deemed the best - angel food cake was the worst (not light at all). On the whole the dinner was well executed and tasty and the service was great."

"4th & Swift is another restaurant that we frequent because we know that it will always be great. The thing that stood out to me this time was the split pea soup with kipped salmon - I'm a big fan of split pea soup, but am used to having it cooked with ham. I was unsure what to expect, but it was actually delicious. But that's one of the things I enjoy most about here, that I'll be challenged with something new. So give it a try!"

"I put this restaurant in the expense account category. While the food is good, it does not stand up to the prices being charged. Gnocchi made with polenta were bland with a thin sauce that did nothing to enhance the feeling of eating little wads of corn - not at all a satisfying dish. The flounder was good but at $33 it should be. The tuna appetizer was the best thing we had while the octopus was just so-so. I will say that the cocktail my girlfriend ordered was exceptional and so we'll likely return for drinks at the bar, and perhaps give Sunday brunch a go sometime since it's just around the corner. The space is great and the service very good if a bit earnest."

"Our group of 4 when there for our daughters 21st birthday. We had a great table next to the kitchen which was seperated by glass for a great entertaining evening! Our waitress Megan was outstanding asked all the right questions properly directing the evenings events. Would definitly go back."

"I have read about 4th and Swift for quit sometime, but it took me a while to finally eat there. I wish I would have come sooner... Wow! This place was amazing. The bar had great variety, the menu was great and the restaurant has a great ambiance. I really enjoyed the "keeper of the trees" cocktail. One of the best bourbon drinks I have ever had. The venison tenderloin and 3 little piggies were both recommended to my date and I. We each got one the dishes and shared and they are both so flavorful and artfully presented. We finish with the English toffe cake and I will be going back just for this. All I can say is if you have been to 4th and Swift and you are thinking about going... Make it your next dinner outing."

"4th & Swift has been high on our list of "really want to go there" places. Our first time visit was a special occasion. We were given a comfortable booth. It was early evening on a weekday, so not so busy (which was nice). Our service was excellent, although our server 'disappeared' a little toward the end of the meal. Cocktails were outstanding. Wine list excellent. The lamb meatballs were outrageously good, but the rest of the food didn't make us feverish about returning. We had very high hopes, but a recent meal at Canoe eclipsed this one by a mile."

"Delta screwed up our flights and we found ourselves stranded in Atlanta instead of on a small island off the coast of Belize. We were both in island garb (not quite what you'd wear for dinner here) but no problems - we sat in a romantic booth and enjoyed good cocktails (mine a tad too sweet,he LOVED the Modest Proposal) and FANTASTIC food. Stuck to small plates (oh wow, who thought brussell sprouts could be so good?!) and as foodies, felt is was one of the top ten meals we've had. We're not into dessert but ordered the steamed pudding, which was absolutely delicious. Shared our Delta tale of woe with our server and got treated to glass of champagne, along with warm and professional service, which was really appreciated. Go, go, go!"

"The service was very good! The food was OK. My husband said the trout was outstanding but the portion size was poor. The cheese appetizer was very good. The winter greens were poor! The brussel sprouts were outstanding!!
We will try it again and hope our suggestions will assist the staff in providing the best food and ambiance for all.

"We recently visited this restaurant after having had a good experience there a year or so ago. All of us ordered the Tasting Menu, and it was, overall, very good. As always, with Tasting Menus, some courses are better than others; in our case, the scallop with peas and the quail with polenta were especially good. The lamb course was not to my liking - the addition of a hot pepper was a little strange. Wines served with the courses were well matched and reasonable priced. Service was smooth and professional. We'll return!"

"WOW! I had been DYING to try this place and so happy I did! Everything was amazing. I actually got the veggie option of 4 different veggies and OMG the sprouts were unreal and so was everything! We shared a desert that just melted in my mouth! Pricing is not outrageous, reservation was honored and we will be back!"

"Looking for a place with good food to celebrate a successful year with work, 4th & Swift did not disappoint. The flavors and textures of all the dishes were great with a delightful wine list to match - in fact, it was hard to narrow down choices with such a diverse menu yet well edited menu. The renovated industrial space evoked charm with the balance of soft accents and nice lighting. We lucked out with a rounded corner bench that afforded a fun view of the other diners yet didn't make us feel like we were intruding on anyone else's dinner (or vice versa). Service was very accommodating - in particular when a glass of red wine took a fall! Overall, looking very forward to our next time back."

"We have eaten at 4th & Swift several times before. Every server has had the perfect blend of menu knowledge, attentiveness and only being present when you needed him.
