"We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Dawson's. As guests in the hotel for the evening it was convenient not to have to travel for a quality dining experience to share our romantic weekend away. The staff and our waiter were all extremely attentive but not annoying as well as friendly and polite. The food was delicious and the presentations were appealing also."

"We chose Dawsons for its proximity to the Theatre as we were seeing Les Miserables. The waiter was friendly, professional, and knowlegeable. Each person in our six-person party ordered a different item and we were all impressed with the presentation, delivery, and taste. We are alreay looking for a reason to return. AND our parking validated."

"We Always go there for steaks and prime rib, but wow, their fish dishes were great. My husband let me taste his salmon on corn purée, which was outstanding. My halibut special with a light dusting of cumin, fennel, and one other herb was served with a yogurt cucumber sauce that was such a great pairing. We will be back!"

"Was truly looking for a prime rib and would have never considered a hotel steak house unless desperate! Luckily open table showed this as a 4.5 star so we took the chance.. The oysters were insane - huge! 12 was way too many for the two of us. They were a meal in themselves.. But the prime rib was to DIE for!!! Perfectly cooked and very tasty!. My friend had the halibut, which was equally as awesome.. he was done eating it before i really got started! Our server was AWESOME.. Very attentive, but not in the way. Knew his stuff on the menu from the bar and the kitchen! Would highly recommend this place!"

"My lady friend and I dined at Dawsons prior to attending a concert at the Community Center. The setting was not only convenient, with parking in the building and the Community Center next door, but also, the food and service were excellent, and the ambience upscale and mellow. We had a great time, enjoyed our meal and the servers' lavish attention to detail. We highly recommend Dawsons for a special occasion."

"We attended the Eponymous wine dinner at Dawson's after dining there before theatre the week before. The price was almost identical, although we got our money's worth at the wine dinner whereas we felt the regular ala carte menu was very pricey for what one got. The beef cheek and braised ox tail was spectacular. The four wines served with the meal complimented each dish reasonable well, and pours were not stingy, although the Cabernet Franc with the carrot cake dessert did not work, in my opinion. My advice is to skip the regular ala carte menu service and do indeed attend the third Wednesday wine dinners. You will not be disappointed based on our experience this week, and the prix fixe pricing is reasonable."

"We had not dined at Dawson's for a while and decided to check out Chef Poole's changes before attending theatre at the Community Center. The food was good, but certainly not worth the inflated prices charged. Our waiter was old school and attentive without being overbearing. Would give service five stars except that as soon as a plate was emptied it was whisked from the table, leaving a sole diner with a plate in front of them. Rude, but that's the way of most restaurants operate nowadays. We were invited to attend a wine dinner the following week and did indeed go to check out the difference in food and presentation."

"We had the roll back dinner special for two that they had for the night. Our filet was cooked perfectly. The shrimp was very tasty. The soup was very hot, just the way I like it and the small crab louie was a great way to start the whole meal. We also ordered the crab cakes on the side. It was outstanding as well. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and the service was top notch. My water also never dropped past the half full level:) Thanks!"

"Everything was wonderful from the large bowl of steamed mussles in a fennel seafood sauce, a warm spinach salad, a perfectly cooked filet and my wife just loved the special Monk Fish. "The restaurant was surprisingly empty on a Saturday night, which was fine because we wanted a quiet atmosphere for our dinner. The service was pretty good, but not the most attentive. The food itself was a mixture of very good dishes to just okay. The crab cake was quite good. The fillet mignon was good; tender. The wild mushroom side dish was to die for. The crab mac and cheese was pretty good. Now... my prime rib was overdone for medium rare. I didn't even finish it because of the chewiness. The little caramelized onion, roasted garlic, and tomato that came with the dish were good. Our bread pudding was on the house, but it was nothing memorable. All in all, 3 stars for a celebration dinner that could've been better."

"Not what I expected. Food was good but other customers were stuck up and starring at my date and I. The waiter kinda gave off the same impression as well. I guess none of them have ever seen a cowboy with money before. It turned into a joke for us and was entertaining. I dont know who they think they are but I know they wouldn't make it outside all this concrete. LMFAO!"
