"The restaurant was recommended by a relative from NY (we were visiting from DC). Had an early Sunday evening dinner. Overall, an excellent dining experience. We ordered the mussels and lamb with chickpeas for entrees. Both were excellent, good portion of food, but not overloaded. Ditto tomato and chick pea soup and my bruchettas (3). A large selection for wine, although pretty pricey. Noticed several large tables with families--a homey sight, felt like a neighborhood place to eat. Noise level increased over the time we were there--but not intolerable. Only complaints--no bread served (maybe because I ordered the bruchetta) and my husband wasn't given a separate dish for his mussel shells. Would recommend and like to return."

"I don't know how they get their paninis so perfect! I had been to 'ino several times, but this was my first time to 'inoteca and I enjoyed the food just as much. Plus, I like that it is so much bigger and you don't get rushed out the door. Would recommend this place to anyone!"

"I love beet salad and this one was the best...no greens, all beets with mint, hazel nuts, oranges, and pecorino. The homemade pasta with lamb and chickpeas was excellent as well. I live nearby and enjoy seeing the lively bar scene at night. However, this was a great place for a quiet lunch with a friend or business colleague."

"The paninis are delicious any time of day. For a small group of friends, the cheese plate was varied, delicious, and great to share. Plus, the server was generous with extra crostini portions! The wine suggestions were terrific, and the desserts were a very satisfying end to the meal. In all, it was a wonderful evening."

"The food and wine lists are awesome but this new location doesn't come close to achieving the cozy, rustic atmosphere of the original LES location. It's very sterile inside- reminds me almost of a cafeteria. No ambiance whatsoever, the tables are bland and generic. The only upside is that you can make a reservation at this location. But I think that in the future I will take my chances with getting in at the LES one."

"I had a reservation for 8 PM but my table was not available when I arrived. I was told it would be available in 2 mintues and was asked to have a drink at the bar. It took 25 mintues for the table to be made available. I know that most restaurants use this tactic to pack people in and sell more booze. I was, nevertheless, rather annoyed as I was rather peckish by 8 PM. Another annoying thing about this restaurant is that its menu is mostly in Italian. The food was vary good and the service friendly and efficient. I have eaten in this place and in its affiliated restaurants before. They have a very good wine list. Just make sure that you make your displeasure clear to the hostess and/or the manager when you are seated late."

"This was our first time, we enjoyed it. We arrived a little early for our res. on a Saturday night, and were seated within a 1/2 hour. Had some wine at the bar first. Place was packed (good) and loud (fun for some). Our seat was in the bar area. We asked about seating in the other larger room but were told that was even louder (it was).
Food of note: the bistecca della angnola (t-bone lamb steak), truffle egg toast, and the noci (walnut pesto) bruschetta. Also the suppli (fried chick peas I think) were good. Our server (Andra) was outstanding and he handled the loud masses with ease. It was a little annoying to have to translate everything with the glossary.
Would we go back? yes."

"Cold rainy night in NY. Sat us at a table in a nearly empty restaurant right by the door..freezing. Asked to move and accomodated without a problem. Waiter J("like the letter") Was wonderful ,helpful, telling us about the menu..got,wine,appetizers..ordered dinner and we never saw him again! Someone (bus boy?) brought our food. No one ever came back. No offering of dessert, coffee, more wine..nothing. When it came time for our check we had to ask a waitress tending to other customers for it. Needless to say, it was not an enjoyable experience. It appeared that our waiter had left for the night, but, with only 5 tables going in the whole restaurant at the time, its hard to believe that we got missed in the confusion."
