"My wife booked reservations for 4 people for my birthday at 8 on a Saturday night. We arrived at 7:50. The maitre de was no where to be found. After 10 minutes he arrived and sat one party ahead of us. At about 8:15, we asked about our table and he said it would be another 45 minutes. I asked why we even had reservations then. (We would have left but it would have taken us longer to find another place on a saturday night.) At about 8:30, two small tables opened up. They sat unseated for 10 minutes until we asked to have them put together so we could all sit. By the time we sat, the experience was kind of ruined. The waiter for our table was good though and the food was excellent. Too bad the initial experience was so bad."

"restaurant is a wonderful neighborhood find. tucked away from the madding crowd. the wine list is good and they serve ample sizes. the food is very good with a fairly eclectic menu for the palate. the service was very good and the people are friendly. it makes you want to come back again."

"Brentwood is the rare restaurant that you can go to time and again and never be disappointed. The food is truly excellent, and the menu is varied, with dishes that appeal to vegetarians and meat-lovers alike. The management is friendly and the service is always top-notch. All in all, a very pleasant dining experience."

"I have been to this restaurant several times and enjoy the ambience. Dim lighting, many booths and a cozy environment. It can get a bit loud as the evening progresses but the seating seems to enable conversations with your table mates. The food is quite good. I really enjoy the artichokes and the sole is fantastic!"

"We had a party of four on a sunday night, and we were very pleased. The menu is quite diverse and everyone enjoyed their dinner. The staff was courteous and very attentive.
I highly recommend this place to all."

"Great might. We were actually early. Michael, the maitre'd had our table ready in no time. Food was great, especially the homemade doughnuts for dessert. Good service, wine list and excellent ambiance. Great neighborhood hang. We'll be back."
