"We had an 11am reservation for brunch which is the first available. We arrived at 10:45am and were told we would not be seated until 11am and had to wait in the waiting area. There were several groups of people told the same thing. They didn't seat us until exactly 11am. The food and wait staff were wonderful. The brunch cocktails were refreshing and different. I just wish the restaurant had shown a little flexibility. When that many groups of people show up a few minutes early, there is no reason not to show them to a table and get them bread and water."

"We went with friends, but we couldn't even hear ourselves shouting above the general din. the restaurant is extremely noisy (I'd hardly call it "energetic"!) For the money that we spent, i feel it was a shame that the noise was such a huge turnoff. don't think we'll be going back there."

"We had a 1:00 reservation for lunch and the table still wasn't ready at 1:30. They ended up seating us in the bar, which was OK but it was very crowded and the table was too small. But, that was the only problem I had with this place. The food was very good and reasonably priced."

"THe service was excellent and the hostesses were friendly, polite and service oriented. our waiter was professional and gave us excellent service. the food was good, but I thought it would be better quality. I had the cappelini with turkey meatballs,and the meatballs were mediocre. My dining partner had the salmon and it was dry. The food quality could come up a notch. The drinks were delicious, though. THe restaurant was very noisy and halfway through our dinner, the music was turned up even louder. I didn't rate it as romantic, because of the noise. Sonsie does not feel like an intimate restaurant, where the focus is on the food, which is what I prefer. But the service was great and the atmosphere bar oriented and friendly."

"Having been to Sonsie in the past, I was eager to get back and celebrate a special occasion. The romantic ambiance and outstanding food made it an easy choice. The addition of having flowers delivered to the restaurant was a bonus. Our table was perfect, in the back corner, with the flowers there already when we were sat. The service was excellent, very attentive, until we ran into problems with the food. The server became reluctant to come to the table after that. The food was mediocre at best. Very disappointed."

"I went there for Sunday brunch, and although the food was very good, it was somewhat unimaginative. Also very little options for vegetarians. The mushroom soup had chicken stock, and there was not one non-meat sandwich offering. It was a fun dining spot, but not really worth going out of your way."

"This was my first time at Sonsie and it was recommended by a local friend. Great location as we had concert tickets at the Berkley Performance Center so it was an easy walk to get there from the restaurant. Good thing the Blizzard of 2009 didn't hit Boston until early Sunday morning!"

"The restaurant was dressed up for the holidays lending that festive air to us as we sat down for brunch/lunch. Ambiance, service and food were all top notch. We started off with the calamari that were very lightly fried, warm and tasty. The vegetable spring rolls wrapped in lettuce with sauce were also light and a great kick start to the meal. The pasta junkie in the group gave aces to the capellini turkey meatballs dish with kudos on the sauce; the eggs benedict hit the spot, and though the hash wasn't what was expected, the pastrami and chicken mix was a surprise and tasty. And of course, Bloody Mary's throughout the meal were a standout too."
