"I've been to M&S a number of times so was pleased when I could get a reservation for 6:30 on Father's Day. I know it's a bit unfair to be critical on an extremely busy day. On the other hand, it is in such "all hands" moments when you know whether you've got a team or just a staff. 6:30 is peak time, so I would expect that they would have the full menu still available. However, some favorite entrees and appetizers were already sold out. Bar service was slow on wine, taking 10-15 minutes for an order. We placed our entree order at 6:45, but it did not arrive until 8. The waiter, who was embarrassed over the delay, did comp one glass of wine.
The meal itself was overcooked, not terribly, but still disappointing after an 1:15 wait."

"Our experience in the lounge for Happy Hour was very disappointing. It took nearly one hour to have 4 drinks and 2 appetizers. Service was painfully slow and our server was either not properly trained or is not suited to the postition. The lounge was not at all busy and there was no excuse for the poor service we received. My husbands drink was not as ordered.
Our experience in the dining room was quite the opposite however. Jordan, our server was quite attentive and always at our service. It is the ONLY reason I rated the service as GOOD.
We will not return to MS nor will I ever recommend it to friends. They do not deserve our business

"Enjoyed our anniversary with great service, our waiter was on point for a large group and the food was very good, nice portion size, not too much, not too little. They surprised us with a special touch by adding our name to the menu, a request from a family member as a surprise to us when we looked at the menu, it made the dinner memorable and special."

"Yes, the title is a little cheesy, but the food was delicious. I had the fresh Idaho Rainbow Trout and could not have been happier with my selection. The only thing my wife and I noticed was that the service was a little slow, but it was early in the evening (5:00PM), we showed up an hour early for our reservation, and it was a Tuesday. I'm sure it would have been better on a weekend."

"We were disappointed and won't return again. The people were certainly nice and there was nothing radically wrong, but it just didn't measure up and was not at all special or of as high quality as we expected from a visit to another of their restaurants several years ago."

"We start with the crab stack and it was nothing to shout about. The bread and butter were ice cold - terrible! the main course was nothing special. I order the blacken salmon with spinach and mash potatoes- the salmon lacked favor and the mash potatoes were cold as well. My husband did the cashew crusted fish and it was not good as well. If good seafood is what your looking for I recommend you take a trip over the bridge to Devon's - you won't be disappointed! I must meant that the waitress was good. I won't be going back."

"I made the mistake of going on Mother's day. Overworked staff started spilled a glass of wine over my wife, myself and one of our kids. They ran out of lobster (which is what I went there for to begin with) THEN they got my order incorrect to top things off. HOWEVER, the wait staff was VERY apologetic and accommodating. Management compensated us accordingly and after a long, pleasant conversation with the manager(who told us that mother's day it the busiest day of the year)he assurred us a more pleasant, personalized experience the next time we dine there. That is the only reason why I am giving them fair marks and not poor or good. I will remain neutral until the next experience."

"Too pricey for the quality of food that they sell. I had stuffed shrimp. They were OK, but for the price they were terrible. I would expect larger shrimp with lump crab meat not a----- crab puree'. Lobster bisque soup severed in this large bowl. At one point in my life I was a waitress the bowl was the same amount as the cup just in a larger bowl. My friend had a cup of the clam chowder and said it was good. My bowl was 5 times larger but is was the same amount of soup. The bowl is served empty with a little lobster and crouton in it. They have a little metal pitcher that holds the soup and they pour it over the lobster. Tasty, but only slightly warm. I would have liked it if it were hot. Nice atmosphere, great service."

"I went to M&S for a Mother's Day dinner. I made reservations for 6:30pm and arrived about 6:15pm. I was seated immediately. The restaurant was crowded, but not packed to capacity. The food was absolutely divine and the service was good considering the crowd. My only complaint was that desert took forever to get to my table. I think we waited about 30 mins. At that time, I asked for a manager. He was polite and went to check on desert. He came back with the waiter. They both apologized for the wait and the manager subtracted the cost of desert. It was unnecesary, but I liked the fact that he made sure I was happy. I plan on going back for some of the Calamari and Stuffed Shrimp. You cannot go wrong with those selections!"

"Not only was this location a romantic and inviting scene, it had great wait service who truly wanted to create an individualized food experience for us! The dinners were crafted to our perfection, even when we wanted to send something back for some addition oven time that wasn't cooked exactly our liking. "We felt very rushed. Even our waiter made a joke that he ambushed us. It wasn't funny to us. We were seated at 6:30pm and done eating at 7:15. The waiter brought my meal to me while I was still eating my appetizer. We normally like to eat here but this really robbed us of an enjoyable meal because of the rushed service. I didn't get more than two sips of my before dinner drink and the appetizer came. Good service is important, but good doesn't mean so fast you can't enjoy one course at a time."

"This was our first visit to McCormick & Schmick's Seafood, Cherry Hill. The service was outstanding and food was very good. I was most impressed with the wait staff; each member was extremely friendly and welcoming and our server was outstanding and bartender just as great. The seafood dishes were very good and well presented, and for the non-seafood eater in the group, the filet was outstanding. The cost was moderate, but overall not too bad considering we had appetizers, drinks and dessert to compliment the meal. A few appetizers were sharable, the main meal portions were just the right size, and desserts were impressive."

"I went for my anniversary and was disapointed. The food vs price was my issue. Also, I ordered an alcahplic beverage and come to find out it was non-alcaholic. $10 is a lot for a NON-ALCAHOLIC drink. Also there was a crying baby and a loud large prty. The dress code was none and i was over dressed for this "up scale" eatery."

"Had the filet and crab legs. Filet was delish and prepared the way I liked it. While the crab legs were good, they were slightly over done and I was expecting a larger portion of them. Didn't need shell crackers to get into them as well. Good place for a special occasion (birthday this time). Would recommend as I've never really been disappointed. Crab legs were a let down."

"Nice restaurant. Well decorated with lots of wood accents. Waiter was very competent and efficient. Food was good, steak just a little overdone. Lobster and trout done nicely. Lobster mashed potatoes were tasty. A bit on the expensive side with the potatoes at $10, but worth it. Key lime pie was a bit on the land side. I'd recommend the place overall."

"We were overall disappointed with the quality and quantity of the food. I do not mind paying higher prices if the experience was worthwhile. This time it was much less than that. This was our third recent visit here. The first two were much better. I don't know if I will come back. Again very disappointing especially when you invite people"

"We thought the food and atmosphere was better in Hackensack.
It seems like the more expensive the dinner is, the smaller the
portions. I asked for no artichokes on my sons dinner and it came
with them on it , so I picked them out
(and there was a lot of them).The soup was warm, not hot. We didn't want
to keep sending the food back.
We got appitizers, salads, soups,then entrees and we felt that the cost was a little
high for what we got. The service was good though.
I probably wouldn't go back to this location."
