Our chef works with local reputable seafood purveyors to obtain only the freshest seafood from local waters & beyond. We offer guests dozens of seafood varieties at the peak of their seasons, including Alaskan Halibut, Northwest Salmon, Hawaiian Mahi Mahi, Oregon Petrale Sole & a large selection of oysters from the U.S. & Canada, just to name a few. Menus are printed DAILY featuring a "Fresh List" of more than 30 seafood species. Guests may find that the seafood offered at lunch differs from dinner offerings, as fresh deliveries arrive to the restaurant throughout the day. McCormick & Schmick's practices traditional mixology hand-crafting cocktails using only fresh-squeezed juices. You won't find any blenders at a McCormick & Schmick's bar. Our bartenders are like chefs in their own right. Classic drinks, such as martinis, Irish coffee, single malt whiskeys & bourbons are complemented with modern favorites.

"We have been to McCormick & Schmick's a couple of times in the past two months. Both times, the food was very good....the roasted beet salad is delicious......however, the service both times was HORRIBLE!!!! The past time we went (Saturday, March 13th), I ordered the spicy tuna roll, about 45 minutes later (after appetizers and a salad), I was told that they ran out of rice and I needed to make another of selection. The waitress offered no kind of compensation for my trouble. She took another 20 minutes to bring us our drinks. When I talked to the manager, he told me that they also ran out of crab. I found it interesting that a seafood restaurant would run out of crab on a Saturday night! The service has soured me into going back."

"We have been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally had an occasion to do so. We loved the decor of the restaurant and the stained glass dome in the center. We were seated promptly. The menus appear as if they are printed daily with a great selection of seafood. Our food was presented beautifully but a bit over-priced for the portions and taste. The waitress was a little inattentive. Overall, it was a good experience but not one of our favorite places to go."

"The food was great - good appetizer, wine, dinner, side dishes, dessert, etc. The only thinking lacking as service. Our waitress was a total space cadet, couldn't finish sentences, stumbled through the specials, would disappear for long stretches of time. The other frustration was when my wife asked if the seafood alfredo sauce could be lightened or just applied a bit lighter and she was just denied outright. Last time we dined at McCormick and Schmick's, the waiter and kitchen happily complied with her request. Again - great food and ambience but a disappointment in terms of the service."

"Dinner was excellent. We had a booth with curtains (not closed.) Very private and quiet. Our server was curtious and prompt. The food was well prepared and at the correct temperatures. My only complaint would be the new menu where you don't receive a starch with most meals unless you order it as a side dish."

"This was my third time dining here, a first for dinner, a special occasion, and it was a wonderful dining experience yet again. Food and service were outstanding! I got the pecan crusted Talapia with Jamaican rum butter sauce and my husband got the scallops. Delicious! Generous portions to take home and enjoy for lunch the next day. Very reasonable prices. Will definitely dine here again."

"We had a reservation for 6, but were seated at a table for 5. The waitress had to squeeze in another place setting while we stood and waited. The food was good, but for the price it should have been great. All sides cost extra. My son ordered steak and crab, he go 1 crab leg. Not much for the big dollar item. Refills on lemonade were $1 - really at those prices. The service was great and she was very knowledgeable about the menu items."

"Our server was absolutely wonderful, however while waiting for our table and sitting at the bar was less than pleasurable. We were seated at the bar for ten or fifteen minutes and never even had our drink order taken. Overall, I would definitely return, but my one piece of advice would be to have more than one bartender on staff on a night like Valentine's Day when you know there will be a lot of patrons."

"When we were seated, we waited 5-10 mins for our waitress. When she showed up she bluntly asked us if we were ready to order with out going over the specials or anything else on the menu. She was quiet the entire time she opened our bottle of wine as well- which was akward... When our food arrived it seemed bland. My gf got the filet mignon and I had a lobster tail. Both were over cooked and had little flavor to them. For the amount of money I spent, we would have had a better meal at bw3s. Such a dissapointment. Do not go to this restaraunt."

"Had yet another meal at M&S. Easily one of our favorite restaurants for a mom & dad date night away from the kids. I had tried the New Zealand Filet Mignon this time since it was a special. I have ALWAYS ordered seafood there, I just can't bring myself to order meat at this place.. but at the insistence of the server I tried it.
I wish I had went with some type of fish. The Mignon was ok, but was not the tasty memorable meal that you can usually get there. I can't put my finger on what it was, it was just lacking overall. The taste was just average. I could have put the meat on my grill in my backyard and done a bit better.

"I was hosting a business lunch for a CPA and Attorney that I work with as a Commercial Banker. The CPA chose the restaurant because he had not been before and ordered the fish tacos. He said that the tacos were OK, but not worth coming back for. He commented on the server not offering a refill on his Iced Tea or being available that he could have requested one from her. The Attorney had been to the restaurant before but has not had good experiences in the past. He decided to play it really safe and simply order a cheeseburger - which came on a burnt bun. While he did not say anything, as he didn't want to stand out within the group, he just pushed the top of the bun to the side and ate the "good" parts."

"Food Factory. The staff training is beyond poor. Server was so intent on getting a roll down that she reached over my wife's fork as my wife was eating her salad. The runner had to remind the manager to clear the first course as our entrees were being served. How do you "86" the bisque in a seafood restaurant on Saturday Night at 7:00? Not an original thought went into any of the desserts. Bread crumbs overwhelmed the crab in the Crab Cakes. The only thing that wasn't below average was the check.

Over twenty years ago I ate at the most amazing seafood restaurant in Irvine, California.
Hard to believe that it shares the same name as the restaurants that I have eaten at in Seattle, Baltimore and Milwaukee over the last ten years."

"My wife and I went there for our 4th anniversary. I noted it was our anniversary on the on-line reservation form. "the maitred was accomodating in that we had res foe 8 oclock and we came early at 4 oclock because our other event was cancelled. The hostess seated us in a timely manner at a nice table. It took a while for the waiter to arrive. The New York strip steak we ordered which was choice but apparently aged tasted no better or worse than I would purchase from Walmart...plus it was ordered med-rare and came med-well. The lobster was way too salty and no drawn butter. We received only one "microw3aved" roll. The sweet potatoe casserole tasted quick-cooked with Commercial fried onions mixed in. The risotto was over-cooked with cheese not melted on top. The asparagus was bland with no seasoning Then we got charged for someone elses bill"

"This is a favorite dining retreat. The curtained booths create a romantic touch. The circular dining and bar area are unique, and the woodwork, leaded glass, and decorations are elegant and charming. The bisque and chowder are delicious. The menu is filled with seafood delights. "Good dining experience, but not great considering that it was a bit pricey at about $60/person. Side booth with privacy curtain was very nice. Lobster tails, clam chowder & crab bisque were amazing! Steaks were good but not great. Warm sourdough rolls before dinner were excellent. Server was very attentive and friendly but there was a Very long gap between our soups & the entrees.

"This is one of our favorite restaurants so we were disappointed in this visit as it did NOT measure up to the usual quality we have come to expect. The hostess didn't read our table request from our reservation as she asked us "table or booth" when we got there. The shrimp cocktail sauce previously had lots of horseradish but this visit, it was quite bland. The Alaskan King Crab seemed to have been boiled to death as the shell was very soft and impossible to crack, it just bent in two. The vegetables with both of our entrees tasted only like pepper no matter what they were. Also, my husband prefers the sauces that were previously served with the calamari vs. the current tomato based sauce. We'll be back, but hope for improvement."

"The general feel of the restaurant is nice, but we went during a rain/snow storm, and there was a constant stream of water coming from a lighting fixture in the ceiling - scary! Food was pretty good, but our service was pretty bad: didn't offer refills of bar drinks, didn't offer dessert to the rest of the table until after the unbeknownst to us complimentary dessert arrived for one member of the party, didn't have crayons for the toddler, didn't bring a booster seat when asked (We had to search one out ourselves).
Not to mention our reservation was 5:45 and we didn't get out of there until after 8."

"Even though we went on Christmas, the food and service were excellent. Our server took time to help us pair wine with our meal, and she offered excellent suggestions on which dishes to order. My daughter loved the crabcake appetizer, and we both enjoyed the scallop entree. The scallops were cooked perfectly, and the pasta pearls, tomatoes, spinach and fried green onions were just the right accompaniments. The apple cobbler had a nice buttery topping and was served piping hot. The restaurant had soft lighting and was nicely decorated for the holidays. Our server was also happy to take a snapshot of me and my two daughters to commemorate the occasion."

"We dined here because we had a gift certificate. We found the menu to be a little pricey. We are accustomed to having potato or rice, etc. included with entrees. The food we had was very good. The red cabbage that accompanied the salmon and the corn salsa with the catfish were delicious but almost too rich to finish. I asked for an extra roll to go with my corn salsa. I liked the ambiance in the dining area, we had a booth. The service was a little bit slow. I found it somewhat confusing because 3 or 4 people stopped at our table for various reasons. One of the women delivering food to our table was a little lost. We were in a circular area. We commented to her that the tables ought to have numbers on them. That's a suggestion. Thank you."

"We have previously dined at McCormick & Schmicks, but our recent visit was wonderful. We made reservations on-line, which was a flawless system. I included a note indicating that we would prefer a booth and that we were celebrating my daughter's 19th birthday. When we arrived the booth was ready and we had specially printed menus wishing my daughter a happy birthday. The staff was outstanding and food, as always, was superb. We especially liked the seafood risotto and the mahi mahi. Once again McCormick & Schmicks proves why it has become one our favorite restaurants."

"Awesome experience. It had been awhile since my wife & I had been out to a nice place. The wait staff was great, very patient, no rushing to turn the table. We enjoyed their company as much as the food. That was tough to beat - the food was very good. Every course was well prepared and the presentation was a feast for the eyes. Wine selection was good and well worth the price charged.
Two thumbs up! Cannot wait to go back."
