"One of my very favorite spots downtown Chicago. Always superb. There is a large and comfortable bar area where groups can gather before seating, serviced by one of the truly outstanding bartenders in the area.
Wait staff is nicely attendant without being intrusive, and has a thorough knowledge of the menu.
My group of four had pasta; veal; and two salads-as-entres, so a good sampling of the lunchtime offerings was made. All were memorable."

"We had an exceptional visit to Stefani's; first on a Saturday night where we were thoroughly entertained by an extremely tasteful Jazz trio ensemble (Rio Bamba) and excellent meal specials at the bar - and then again later in the week where we sat in the main dining area. We liked the food so much that we returned on our last evening in Chicago to enjoy the wonderful Barata salad , fresh pastas, and steak offerings. Our server made wonderful recommendations and even brought out a display of meat cuts to help us with our selection. This kind of attention to detail and service made the evening a memorable one.

"My husband to me to Phil Stefani's437 Rush for my birthday and I was dreading it all day thinking it would be loud and obnoxious, like a club. Unbeknownst to me, it was like walking in to an old friend. I loved the atmoshphere!! It was romantic and I felt like I was taken back into time. We ate in the lounge near the Jazz Trio live band and it was not pretentious at all. I loved that we could have a conversation without yelling at eachother and the food and service was top notch. I cannot wait to go back for another great date night with my husband!!"

"This is a good Restsurant with a very good chef. The place is very "Chicago" on ambiance. The only problem is that MaitreD breaks out in song - loudly. He has a broadway voice in a small space. Am sorry to share we did not enjoy the singing ( and truthfully he only sang one song while we were there). We will go back. We love the food, service is solid, place is handsome , the singing can be toned down"

"Food and service were excellent.
Music was loud. If it was Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra would have been more acceptable but loud rock classics seemed out of place. Although it did seem that the volume lowered during lunch, or it could have been the conversation from the few other occupied tables around us. They found out we were celebrating a coworker's birthday and brought out a fabulous huge slice of chocolate cake - aweseome."

"The Lobster bisque was delicious! I was pleasently suprised at choice of beans in the bean soup. It took a traditional soup and "mixed it up". The seasonal seafood dish was fantastic. Eating mussels and clams were a first for me but i really enjoyed them. The tomato based broth that covered the seafood was very tasty especially with the toasted bread. I had a delightful time and would highly recomend the restaurant."

"What a delight! The second visit and better than the first time. Excellet food, fun, exciting, interesting atmosphere. Special treat was Alesandro, who made sure we were taken care of and a special treat from him, he sang a Sinatra song to me for my birthday. He made the visit special."

"I will not go back here.
We were a group of 8. The server was very unresponsive. We were seated at 7 pm but the server didn't take our order till 8 pm (no, we didn't order appetizers and we had to wait 1.5 hrs for food). And even after that, we had to ask for our server to get us a check because he just wasn't around.
The food itself was just ok. I have been many other places that charged about the same but better qualify."

"This was our first visit to this restaurant, and we were completely satisfied with the experience. THe setting was warm and friendly, and the service was very attentive. The knowledgeable waitress fully explained the menu and showed us the variety of steaks. I had the veal parmigiano, and it was perhaps the best vieal I have ever eaten - cooked t perfection! My wife had the lobster, which was a bit overcooked, but still quite tasty. As first time diners we received a complimentary after-dinner drink. There are many restuarant choice in Chicago, but my wife and I have so far found this to be one of the best. We recommend it highly and will certainly be back soon!"

"This restaurant hits a home run every time I go there. The host was relaxed when I explained that some of our party was already here and some had not yet arrived for dinner. He told me not to worry and that the table would be ready whenever we were. The food was great and the group, all with varying food issues, were able to find something delicious. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Another home run!!"

"I took my wife to Stefani's 437 Rush to celebrate her birthday. We LOVED the ambience of the place- somewhat reminded me of a 1940's supper club. The staff was attentive, fun and made the night memorable with birthday well wishes from many staff, desert and even a song from the maitre'd! The menu was very diverse, and had Italian classic dishes, steak and seafood options as well. Our meals were fantastic. Our dinner at Stefani's 437 definitely made the weekend a success. I would highly recommend them and will certainly return when we return to Chicago in a few months!"

"I should have had a steak! Instead, my table opted to have the house specialty dishes each of us tried something different and none of us were satisfied. They're a steak house so maybe that is what they do the best, I unfortunately didn't go that route. I feel a great restaurant has no bad dishes, and this one has at least three."

"I love the fact that Phil Stefani's is right off of Michigan Ave. (at Hubbard), yet feels a world away. Also, it's great for "power dining." In fact, on a previous visit, my group was seated near Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Bill Daley - and I love the fact that no one disturbed the mayor during his lunch."
