Adriatic Grill Italian Cuisine & Wine Bar is brought to you by a team of owner/operators with passion for food, wine and hospitality that exceed every Guest's expectations. Chef Bill Trudnowski has been a chef in the Seattle-Tacoma area for over 20 years. With his wife, Monique, they have partnered with longtime friend and restaurant owner, John Howie, and award winning Sommelier Erik Liedholm to bring you a restaurant that has a rich environment with European style and family run restaurant hospitality. Adriatic Grill features a lunch and dinner menu influenced by the many countries surrounding the Adriatic Sea. Th menu uses local products when in season and menu items are made fresh daily using the highest quality ingredients from hand made pizza dough to desserts. Award winning Master Sommelier Erik Liedholm brings a balance to all food selections with his hand picked wine list, featuring a variety of wines from both Washington state and Italy being offered.

"We made the mistake of choosing "casual dining", which put us down with the large groups and kids...UGH! This increased the noise level tremendously, but that was my error. The service was wonderful. Sean was a great guy, and was as attentive as he could be on a busy holiday. He was getting frustrated due to lack of bread for the table and some items not available from the menu. The food was wonderful. Their antipasto appetizer has always been a Must Have, but it was alot skimpier than in past visits. The crabcakes were itty bitty and the escargot were fantastic! You must save room for dessert and indulge in the Italian Chocolate plate...OMG I am still talking and dreaming about the cherries!"

"We went a day early for Mothers Day because we had other plans for the next day. The food (as always) was outstanding. My husbands steak was as rare as he had requested it and my meal, the seafood speggattini (sp) was full of huge scallops, tiny clams and tasty shrimp. Amazing. Our service was great as well. Never have been disappointed with a meal here."

"Been to Adriatic Grill twice now ... once for lunch & most recently for dinner. They haven't disappointed yet! The food is fantastic, the service was friendly & professional. There's an incredible wine list and the food is a fresh take on Italian. Much better than the "big box" Italian restaurant choices out there."

"Our Saturday dinner of salmon was cooked perfectly and the combination with the cannelli beans was an exceptionally good paring. Our table of four each remarked how good the food was that they had. This was as good a meal as you can ask for anywhere in the country. We will definitely go back to have more food from this wonderful chef. No one left hungry but we almost ordered a pizza ....just to take home for the next day!"

"We met our families there for Easter. The brunch did not look too good so we ordered from the menu. Some dishes were quite good but the lamb chops were fatty, and the pasta it was blah (they forgot to add the garlic sauce and by the time they came back and checked on us we were done) The overall service was slow. Took a while to get parmesan etc. When finished our bill was brought to table and it took 15 min for anyone to come and pick it up. This was our first visit...not sure if we will go back. Even though it was Easter, there were not that many people there. Wish I could say better."

"My husband, son and I had dinner for my birthday and I can truly say that it was one of my best dinning experiences I have had on the West Coast. The customer service was impectable. Our server was very knowledgable and interactive with our son. THe kids pizza was a hit with my 2 year old son and I appreciate the kid friendly atmosphere. The food was to die for!! Very fresh and tasty!!! I will definately be coming back and with friends and out of town family!!!! Thanks so much for the experience!"

"In spite of an "Open Table" reservation we still waited 30 minutes to be seated. Another 10 for a glass of water. 10 minutes more for bread. Time passed. Finally someone took our order. By then we had eaten all the bread and the tablecloth. When the food arrived it was delicious. After eating the napkins for dessert in the interim, the check finally arrived. Our server was polite, sweet and overworked. The noise level is deafening if seated near the bar area. Our tiny for two table was squeezed behind a divider next to the scotch. Children were running rampant. Probably starving searching for crumbs. No question the food is very, very good, but you need to be a masochist to put up with all the other stuff at Adriatic Grill."

"I've eaten here numerous times and its been very good. The prawns with spaghetti squash is my go to dish. Their creamy polenta is to die for. Pizza is excellent. The only negative is the service. Staff are not professional or knowledgable which is true 90% of the time I've been there."

"I liked the place. And frankly I was surprised.
A friend (from Olympia) suggested the place. (I'm from Seattle.)
When I saw the map I saw that it was in the middle of a vast parking lot which is generally a bad sign. Figured it would be Dennys-with-Higher-Prices.
So my prejudice was overcome by nice service -- moved us to a better table when it was freed up -- and great food. Very fair prices and quite tasty.
I'd go again for its good service, food and overall erase of access.
One caveat -- the signage wasn't as clear as ideal and couldn't find the front door."

"It is hard to give this place an excellent rating. Went there for Valentines day...so maybe the restaurant was not up to par with their normal, but I just kept getting excuse after excuse by the sympathetic waiter.
Was seated 20 minutes after our reservation.
Standard complimentary things like bread where not available due to "the chiefs not being prepared" according to the waiter
Definitely not an authentic Italian food, do not know how this is rated as the top Italian restaurant in Tacoma...but I guess it is better than the Olive Garden.
Their wine list was very good though, I will give them that.
Restaurant is better than a chain bit not on par with the elite. Will make the drive to Seattle next time for authentic Italian."

"Nice local place in T Town. Took my Fieance here for a Valentines day lunch since we work nights. The service was very good, didn't like that I made a reservation and still had to wait 15 min for my table. My Cesar salad was drounded in dressing, but that was really the only bad thing food wise. Liz had the Bolognas and I had the Chicken Alfrado, great food. Our cheesecake was great as well. Overall a good place to eat and not too expensive."

"the food was excellent - the server was over extended and we were there at a very crowded time - Sunday lunch on a holiday weekend - lots of big family groups. We had never been there before and should have tried it on an evening instead - but it was good overall. It is a friendly place with a good vibe for families and the pizza is so great!"

"Fantastic food great surrounding, I took my boyfriend there for valintines day so it was super packed and even with that we were seated within 10 minutes of our reservations. Only down side it was packed!! But they can't help that. Would go there again in a heartbeat :)"

"We had a reservation but they still weren't prepared to seat us until a good 20 mins after the reservation time. Perhaps they should not have been accepting more reservations as after we ordered, it took more than 45 minutes to get our food. It took us over two and half hours from the time we walked in until we were out of the restaurant for a family dinner for 4--not a leisurely romantic dinner for two. The food was OK but a bit pricey and two out of four of us found that our dishes were quite salty."

"Chicken in the Chicken Alfredo is boiled. P'Zone at Pizza Hut is better than their vegetable calzone. My kids didn't even eat & they're not picky eaters! Service was friendly, yet very slow & had to ask multiple times for anything. There is creepy host walking around with a clipboard every 2 minutes & stares at your table. Never again! Go to Olive Garden!"

"Fantastic food. Place was absolutely packed and this was the first time we've been there on a Saturday night. Dinner took about two hours which is not something we normally would enjoy but since we were with another couple it gave us more time to visit.
It was very hard to hear.
However, I doubt we'll dine there on Friday or Saturday night again.

"My boyfriend and I went here on a date, and we loved it! There's a candle on each table which I was thought was really cute and romantic. The service there was excellent. Our waiter was always checking up on us to see if we needed anything. The mozzarella marinara was amazing. I would definitely recommend them. Overall, it's a really great place to go out and eat. The one bad thing about the place is that it is a bit pricey -(There were only about 11 little mozzarella marinaras for $8.50)"

"Adriatic Grill is a great restaurant and has gluten-free options! My friend and I truly enjoyed our dinner and service. They have an extensive wine list and stocked bar. The coffee is excellent and so are the menu choices and the chef selection sheet. I have eaten here for lunch and dinner and for a romantic meal along with meetings, outings with friends, and a meal with the family."

"I have eaten lunch here almost weekly and been here a few times at night for dinner.While the food was good,all other aspects were poor. Extremely grounded and noisy; the service from the waitress was very poor. She disappeared for long periods of time and had to be waved down to get assistance. We got help from other waiters because she was so absent.My friends who had never been there before said, "What do we have to do to get another server?" I was close to asking for that when she finally came back. Seemed very disinterested in her job and acted like she wished she was somewhere else. If it were not for my good experiences with service on other times I don't thik I would go back again or recommend the place to others."
