Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills
With 4 decades of experience, Wolfgang Zwiener didn't duplicate an exceptional steakhouse, he improved on it to make Wolfgang's Steakhouse exceptional. The porterhouse steak for one, two, four or more, is an outstanding choice. The atmosphere, expanded menu & professional service will appeal to even the most exacting diners.
"I have been here several times and love this place! I am one who likes their meat well done and if you are one that likes that you HAVE to be clear otherwise medium-medium well will still come back red. I know they say rare is soo much better but I am not one who agrees otherwise this palce is great for special occasions at it is pricey."

Review 4 for Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills
"The hostess was very rude. She just pointed at our table instead of escorting us there. Overall, the food was fine, nothing special. Our steak fries were cold and stale. The filet was good. I would not go back, and would instead go to Mastros."

"Excellent bone-in rib steak. Well seasoned and great flavour. Personable manager Sam Plotkin dropped by our table twice to see how we were enjoying the meal."

Review 8 for Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills
"Porterhouse for two - ordered medium (don't hate mid-rare lovers), got medium-well to well-done depending on the individual piece. Seasoning was not even. Some pieces were bland, some over-salted. Maitre d' asked how our steak was cooked after it came out. We said it was overdone, but we were probably okay. His response, oh well it cooks some on the plate. It's a regular dish at the restaurant. So if you know it cooks on the plate, adjust your cook time accordingly. Make it mid-rare in the kitchen so it comes out medium if the plate will cook it up more.
German potatoes - our table was fine. Table next to us had potatoes that were overly burnt.
Sautéed mushrooms were under-seasoned.
Plating and silverware had lots of soap"

"There are not a lot words for this what we were allowed to experience. Just outstanding in all ways. Best appertiozer ever eaten, best steak ever eaten (and I eat a lot Steak), Key Lime Pie could not have been made better on the Keys. Everything was worth the price."

"Steak was ok but the mashed potatoes were instant and not good. Key lime pie was not the real thing either."

"Good food and good service. Each time Ive been there they have been playing terrible music that seems to suit people sitting at the bar watching sports."

Review 13 for Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills
"Simply, if you enjoy Peter Luger's in Brooklyn, this is the only place you can go! Everything is essentially the same, just in a different locale and ambiance. Thick cut bacon, tomatoes and onions, porterhouse, sauteed spinach and German potatoes. Just as with Luger's, steak sauce on everything and schlag goes with everything after dinner. Enjoy!"

Review 14 for Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills
"The service was disappointing at Wolfgang's, given the price level. Very impersonal, and my new silverware was literally tossed onto the table between courses. The side dishes were nothing outstanding, though the cuts of meat were a fine quality. I'd much prefer Mastro's, Boa ...many other high end steak places in town before returning here."

Review 16 for Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills
"I had wanted to try this place for a while, so I'm glad my curiosity was satisfied. That said, I wouldn't go back and couldn't recommend this place to friends because there are better steakhouses in LA and Beverly Hills. This is a traditional steakhouse but it lacks the polish both in the food and the service. Our petit filets were good, just not anything special. The sides are very generous, and I could recommend the lobster mac and cheese. Desserts were disappointing both in their selection (Haagen Daz chocolate and vanilla ice cream?)and their quality. But the service was the worst part of our experience. Not once did our waiter come by to check on us, and he showed no interest in what we ordered. You are better off going to Houstons."

Review 18 for Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills
"I'm a huge fan of Peter Lugers (THE greatest steak house in the world) and what attracted me to Wolfgang's was his role with Lugers 'back in the day'. Wolfgang's is clearly the closest thing to Lugers in LA.
The food was good, the sauce very Luger-like but the service wasn't great (kept trying to hustle us to order more drinks which I find annoying; if I want a second drink I'll ask for it, don't ask me more than once!), the rolls (a big part of the experience) were awful (and therefore a disappointment) they weren't fresh.
The steak was very good and that's really all that matters.
We skipped dessert but the choices looked good.
I would go again for a good bit of Porter House but probably better in a larger group (I went with"

Review 19 for Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills
"It is unfortunate that a thoroughly unfriendly and unwelcoming maitre d' can cast a dark cloud on an entire dining experience, especially in a restaurant where the food is quite good. While the food is tasty, make no mistake, it is not Peter Luger, which it tries to emulate."

Review 20 for Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills
"The bone-in rib steak was the best I've ever had. The waiter took my into the dry aging room to see the process. The GM Sam and the owner Peter dropped by my table for a chat. I was very impressed. When I next visit LA I will definitely return to Wolfgang's."

Review 23 for Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills
"Wolfgang's never disappoints! Graduation dinner was spontaneous and superior, Christmas Season family gathering was impressive, and our most recent business dinner had all the things you look for in a restaurant; Excellent food, service that was every present in an invisilbe way, with a sense of humor to boot, and a wine glass that was never empty! There are not enough superlatives availabe to describe the consistency and quality of this restaurant!"

"Thought it was a Wolfgang Puck branded Steakhouse....NOT. The food was just OK. Bread horrible, service mediocre....Go to Maestro's down the street and pay the same, get more!"

Review 25 for Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills
"Went there for lunch with some colleagues. Good steak in general, but the serving staff was HORRIBLE. You get better service at fast food restaurants. The server didn't know the day's special, didn't ask how my steak would be cooked, and NOT attentive to tables at all. There were only 4 tables TOTAL (not busy at all), and these group of servers were having fun at the corder by themselves by hitting each other with towels. Nonsense! You're paying $50 and plus for your lunch per person, and this is NOT the type of service you can expect. I don't know if it's any different during dinner, but will never go again for lunch."

Review 26 for Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Beverly Hills
"Food was excellent; their steak is hard to beat. Side dishes aren't at the level of the entrees-- mashed potatoes were pretty bland, green beans were okay, clam chowder and Caesar Salad were fine. But the prime steaks are what you go there for. Excellent.
My biggest problem is Open Table has this restaurant listed as $31-50 in terms of price. It is close to double that amount per person. We only had one glass of wine apiece and yet the bill, plus tip, teetered between $350-400. Just be aware of that."
