Landlubbers who walk up the gangplank to the King's Wharf, set within the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, might easily get the impression that ships are expected to dock there soon. Boats are dry-locked on the ceiling, masts made of weather timbers flank the dining area and the walls are rigged with rough ropes.
Allow yourself to discover the best steak-and-seafood on Chicago's North Shore. Our Lake County, Illinois restaurant features mouth-watering steaks, fresh fish selections, an array of chops and delectable surf and turf. Overlooking Lake Lincolnshire, this seven-level, nautically themed gem is both intimate and lively.
"We had the dinner and play package. The dinner was really good. The menu for the dinner and play package is a bit limited on choices. But I had the NewYork Strip Steak in a wine reduction base, that was charred and prepared to perfection. I Normally do not like a New York Strip, but this was excellent.
Their normal menu is very large and everything looks amazing on the menu. It's not a late night restaurant, basically they cater to the guest of the resort and the dinner, Theatre package. The place was completely booked and you must reserve reservations. It was definitely worth the price for dinner for two and a play. I would highly recommend this package."

"King's Wharf at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort has been a regular stop during our retreats to this quintessential northern Illinois hostelry for going on a quarter century. While the in-house Marriott Theatre might be the initial drawing card for our visits, unlike the theatrical productions there that on occasion misfire (such as the current staging of "South Pacific" -- so dismal we left at intermission), we have yet to not have "Some Enchanted Evening" at this classic steak and sea food mainstay. Recent reviews we've read say the restaurant is "pricey." If anything, there are real bargains to be found on the inviting menu, and the wine list has a good selection of reasonably priced libations. Maybe next time, we'll skip the show!"

"I would not recommend King's Wharf for the sunday brunch. The staff was pleasant but the food was seriously lacking. There is a nice display set up for the food for the sunday brunch. However, when we went to chose our food, half of the containers for the hot food were empty. We had to wait for over 5 minutes for them to be refilled. (We are talking about eggs bendict, bacon, sausage, etc). The restaurant was maybe half full. Not excessively busy. There was just a complete lack of preparing for the brunch. The food they did have was good. Just not a good option for brunch if you are hungry."

"Pricey but great place and food for special occasion. As many times as we've dined at King's Wharf, this is the first time we got a waitstaff that was having a bad start and degraded the perfect meal/evening."

"Food was delicious, but didn't justify the price. Service was slow. We told the waiter that we had tickets to the play, but we barely made it and didn't have time for dessert. Not a bad experience, just unimpressive."

"Have been to the King's Wharf for the Sunday brunch before and were slightly disappointed in this venture. Chicken and fish were dry abnd not particularly appetizingly presented, bacon undercooked - vegetable entry unappetizing, dessert table sparse compared to previous outings. It seemed like it was the chef's day off and they were trying to 'make do' in the kitchen. And there was a definite lack of condiments and sauces (no salsa-type sauce for the scrambled eggs, no cream cheese for the bagels, etc.)..The lobster bisque, however, was delicious."

"Pre-theater without the rush. Food was just great. I'd heartily recommend this restaurant as part of a theater evening. Everyone at the King's Wharf and the resort theater complex were exceptionally gracious and welcoming."

"We eat at King's Wharf prior to shows we see at the Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre and have never been disappointed. The food is always great and the service, with very few exceptions is efficient and prompt, the latter being important so that we can make the show on time. The atmosphere is very nice and, while dated, has stood the test of time. This restaurant would be great for any kind of special occasion."

"Disappointed in menu selections that have been paired down from previous visits. Food was fair. Service was impartial and just interested in getting people to the show on time. Remembering that Brunch has always been good. This has turned into a business hotel and special occasion resort, not a place for locals. Golf course and Theater are the "local draw" certainly not the dinner menu."

"A bit difficult for handicapped access even with life's. we were lucky to be seated on balcony level whichnonlybrequired 2 steps. Any other seating is difficult for a handicap person. Great dinner. Main level had large group and was very noisy"
