Park Place is an exciting restaurant designed by Bob Puccini located in the heart of Silicon Valley at the new Cali Mill Plaza. Featuring fresh produce and locally grown specialty items, Chef Brad Kraten's seasonal menu celebrates his contemporary American take on traditional seafood and steak fare. "The food was very good; but at the end of the evening I didn't have anything truely memorable to take away from the dining experience.Our server was very attentive, so that was good. I'll probably go back again, but it won't be my first choice."

"The dining area is small compared to some other restaurants, but the quality of food far outweighs any detraction. The staff was friendly and helpful. Eager to please, if occasionally hard to find. The atmosphere was relaxed, and casual, yet somehow elegant too. Of course with the very high quality of food also came the commensurate price tag. That will not stop us from dining there again, and again."

"We live in Cupertino and drive by Park Place all the time. We've always wanted to go but it looked too nice to bring our 2 energetic boys. My husband and I finally had an evening to ourselves and decided to go to Park Place. We had the best time! There was ample parking, the hotel/restaurant smelled so dreamy (imagine a spring time rose garden) and management treated us like were VIPs. Everything was delish (calamari, SF pasta, skirt steak and molten chocolate cake). I have nothing negative to say except for the rude mature lady sitting across from us who to Josh about not being able to find the parking. What a dork. Even her husband looked embarrassed. Josh and his wait staff were GREAT. I can't wait to go back!"

"Wonderful!!! We received a delightful petite appetizer, smoked salmon on a wheat cracker with a dab of tangy wasabi, compliments of the chef. The beer batter fish and chips was light,crisp, and fresh. The mushroom wellington is a "must order again" entree.

We were celebrating two birthdays, and the restaurant gave us a gift of the delicious bread pudding with a surprise touch of melted chocolate deep in the middle of the bread. The lighted candle added a fun touch to celebration, and we all went home savoring the flavors of a restaurant we definitely will return to!"

"I will admit that the food and drinks are really good, but after finding out that they charged our credit card more than they should have AFTER we left turned me off about this place. They took us for $80 and still have not resolved the issue."

"I just went to Park Place for the second time this past weekend for a brunch, and I'm constantly amazed why this place isn't fuller. The food is really solid, the decor is very nice.

The only real gripe I had was that it took us way too long to be greeted upon arrival, and it appeared that they were either understaffed, or for some reason our server was distracted from keeping an attentive eye on our table.

However, you won't be disappointed by having a weekend brunch at Park Place."

"Park Place, While a bit pricey for my budget, was amazing. Not only was the meal fantastic but the service matched. We received a complimentary appetizer, which included a piece of the best prime rib I've ever had. Well worth every penny. Enjoy!"

"I had made a lunch reservation for 10 people on a Friday. The food was fine for the most part with the exception of one guest who had the trout. She said "It tasted like the whole meal had been soaked in bacon juice. There was no distinction between the fish, sprouts and bacon flavors at all. The fish was soggy as well." We brought it to the waitress' attention who offered to get her another item but the trout wasn't taken off the bill. Our guest chose not to order anything else. Also the service was slow especially since it was lunch time."

"The food was decent, but, the service was spectacular.

The host asked us when we arrived if we were attending the show down the street so that they could plan our service around it.
They gave us each a sample of their main dish before we ordered.
Both the host and the waiter were very friendly."

"The Good: The food was creative and perfectly prepared.

The Bad: The wine list as not only lmited, they ran out of my first choice after one bottle. Had they told me that thre was only one left, I would have chosen another wine.

The Ugly: The noise level in the dining room was so bad that conversation at a table for four was strained as we tried to be heard over the din."

"Four of us for noon time brunch on a Sunday (Jan 10).... food was excellent, drinks were excellent, service was excellent, waiter was great. Unfortunately, ambiance was lacking... a lot. Perhaps not so bad in the evening, but in day, it was stark, glaring light, no plants, no softness, and view was of a strip mall and traffic whizzing by. Somewhat akin to In-n-Out Burger setting. Had that business hotel atmosphere..... and so would NOT rush back, especially since it is not close by...."

"The food and service was excellent, but it is a small restaurant with the bar and restaurant inline. If there is a loud group in either place, you will definitely have their conversation intruding on yours. But if you're the loud group, then they have good food and good service.

"Overall, our experience was really good. We had a Saturday, post-Christmas brunch, and the food was all very good. Service could have been a smidge better staffed - I believe there was one waitress and one busser, and at times it felt like they were stretched just a bit too thin. Both of them were wonderful, so it's not a knock on them, though.

Being in a hotel, it did have a bit of that hotel vibe that a lot of restaurants have tried to shake off, but overall it was a really nice meal and experience. I'd consider going back for lunch or dinner next time I'm in the area."

"This is a tough part of town to find a good restaurant. I had been there about 2 years ago and found a wonderful decorated / appointed restaurant, but the food and service never measured up to the environment. I noticed the place closed for some time so when it reopened I thought I would try it again. I guess now I understand this is not a restaurant housed in an hotel (like Parcel 104) but just a hotel restaurant. I had a series of 4 service people, plus bus boys, none of which seamed to coordinate with each other. The caesar salad was a clopped together poorly presented appetizer. The wild salmon was good but not worth the price. I suggest you try Cafe Torre across the street. I am not giving it another chance."

"I went for brunch -- or maybe I should say breakfast since I went with a group at 9 am. It was one of the few restaurants I could find in the area that was open early. My crab omelette was okay, but didn't have much cheese. The frittata sounded a little more exciting. The drink and appetizer specials from Friday night were still posted on the wall, and reading it made me think that evenings are probably when the place is in its element. I would come back for that."

"At first I was disapointed because the dining room lights were so bright it felt like a cafeteria. I did ask for them to be turned down and they finally did but not enough to give it the right ambiance. Then all was saved when the sous chef came out and introduced himself and gave us a little pre-dinner appetizer. His name was Joey and he actually served us the entire dinner!He was so passionate about his cooking and I have a feeling that they didn't have enough waiters and he didn't want his food sitting there.Everyone loved their meals and the bread pudding was incredible. I wish we could have given him the tip instead of the waitress because he did everything."

"First time here and we were impressed! Noting that we were first time customers the chef came out with a free appetizer welcoming us to the restaurant. He also came out later to see how we liked everything. The food was excellent and very nicely presented. Wait staff was prompt and attentive."

"I was impressed walking into this restaurant in the Cypress hotel. It is quite a hip setting. The food was presented and prepared well. Great place for a business lunch or dinner if you happen to be in the area."
