"Boneta was a very nice casual place,the two servers were friendly an helpful. Appetizers were good but a bit small, the pate was very nice. Overall it was great, but all portions were small but very nicely presented"

"We had a good experience at Boneta. We meet up with a friend for a drink and a few snacks. We shared the octopus chips, Salmon tartare, and Risotto with truffles. We drank the Neslois Sangoviose which was excellent. The Risotto was also excellent. The salmon tartare was refresshing but not that interesting and octopus chips were a bit chewy(to be expected) but also didn't have much flavor other than the tapioca batter which wasn't much. Otherwise an excellent place to dine."

"We were a little disappointed with our first experience at Boneta. We are small eaters and the portion was so small, definitely not enough for average people. My halibut was only a tiny 2"x2" cube. My girlfriend's beef was too dry. The 2 way duck only had tiny shredded pieces of duck's leg. The octopus chip was very tasty, but again it is such a tiny portion."

"Each bite of each morsel of food was a delight of flavours....every vegetable has been individually cooked and seasoned to bring out it's best and add another layer of flavours to enhance the experience. Each bite was a surprise....and a good one. The steak was perfect as was the halibut. We will definitely be back!"

"Love the new location and fresh ambiance of Boneta in Gastown. The big skylights and big glass front make the ambiance very bright and beautiful. I prefer this over the old location in which they had mirrors hanging off the ceiling. New location is elegant and the food is sublime. Very enjoyable. Going to Gastown always makes me feel like I'm on holidays someplace special, which most definitely it is."

"Good food. Amazing service. But for a place where the bill for two people is over $100 they didn't really need to charge $3 for bread and butter. While you waiting to order the only complementary thing you get is water ! Not very generous for a restaurant that wants to be on the classy side and it looks cheap .."

"Had a great time at Boneta! The last three Valentines days, I've gone to three french restaurants. The first one was awful, the second one was okay, and this third one was fantastic! The food was AMAZING, the service was great, and the volume in the place was just right. Highly recommended for a special occasion, or if you just feel like having great food for a reasonable price."

"Even though it was pretty busy on the tuesday night that we went to Boneta, the service was fast and efficient. We had previous expectations of the slow being really slow to come out based on previous reviews we had read, but it was all perfectly timed! The octupus chips were great!!! The lamb followed a close second and my boyfriend loved his duck breast. The desserts.. amazing. Definitely will be back again!"

"i have to admit that i have made reservation at this restaurant only because most of the more popular restaurants were booked up. hence, i wasn't expecting much from this place. But to my surprise, the food was really good. I especially like the appetizer and the main dish wasn't bad either. The dessert was about average. The restaurant was crowded. My table was small and was only about 2 ft from the next table. I guess it was because there were so many people there, it was noisy. Despite of that, my overall experience was positive"
