TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel Reviews List
TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
American Comfort food with a country flair. Exclusive patio dining including an area with fire pit. Brunch available 7 days a week. Great cocktails and delicious desserts, just how Mom use to make.
"The service was really bad. Really slow! It took forever to get our food and then after waiting so long for the food to get there it wasn't very good. Really a bad experience there."

Review 2 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"This was a pleasant surprise. We saw mixed reviews; however, we still wanted to try out the southern food and we were glad we did. Food was great especially the fried chicken that was delicious. Originally, we made reservervations for six, but unconfirmed guess showed up and Tart's management quickly accommodated which grew to 11 individuals. Their service and manager was excellent. Highly recommend to check this place out."

Review 4 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"I feel compelled to write a review because the food is terrible. As a party of four we got to sample just about everything on this meat and three menu.
Everything is overly fried to where there is no taste in any of the food. This includes the chicken, catfish and okra. We also had the pork which had no seasoning and the salmon. Salmon was fine, but nothing exceptional. I also don't get the truffle mac n' cheese. Where were the truffles or the truffle flavoring.
I get that the fruit bowls are fun to share as a cocktail, but definitely not a reason to go to this place."

Review 5 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"Probably best for a group ordering beers before a movie. Food is unimaginative but well prepared, prices are very reasonable. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way to eat at again."

"Tart's dinner of meat and 3 sides is great. Plenty to choose from. Big serves. My absolute favorite part though is the warm corn bread and honey butter. Sooo delicious! Really tasty cocktails too!"

Review 9 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"We had a great dinner here. Really good comfort food. They have some salads and sandwiches, but you can also choose to pick a protein and three sides. I chose they New York Steak, with garlic mashed potatoes, green beans with cranberries and almonds, and truffle mac 'n cheese. Definitely comfort food. The steak was perfect. The three sides made for a lot of food, but they're good to share with the rest of your party."

Review 10 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"they did not have record of our reservation via Open Table and when I showed the hostess our email confirmation, it seemed to annoy her. even though there were open tables and we had reservations well in advance, still took them 20+ mins to seat us. the main hostess is clearly incompetent. If you have the patience and the time to wait, the food is good."

Review 11 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"The entire staff was super friendly with big smiles and really made you feel welcome. I had the fried chicken which has some honey in it so it's quite a different taste and even though you get two pieces they are very large and it's plenty of food. The creamed corn was fantastic, the mac and cheese was great, and the fried pickles were awesome. My girlfriend had the salmon which she said was very good and was a very good sized portion. We sat outside under the heaters and it was a very nice evening. The restaurant isn't what you'd expect for this area but we had a good evening and we'll be back if for nothing else than to join the pool warriors."

Review 12 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"I love the concept - pick one meat and get 3 sides included. This equalled a yummy variety and large portions. My mom got an appetizer and couldn't even finish it. My only complains are we had to wait a long time for the check and my salmon was undercooked in the middle. Overall, great outside dining area and really good food. I'll go back."

"My new favorite restaurant! Absolutely adore this place! I loved the atmosphere! We sat outside and it just felt like we were in a neighborhood party at the farm! Super cute and comfortable. They have a fabulous drink selection and super fun, themed drinks! Absolutely LOVE how they do their menu, makes it so much easier to decide! Get the fried chicken!"

Review 14 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"Waiter was nice but rather forgetful. Constantly forgetting to bring things we requested. We had to borrow sugar packets and supplies from surrounding tables. He was also unfamiliar with the menu. The food was fine...nothing special. Sort of place that has fake flowers on the table and rips in the seat cushions. If you just came for drinks it would probably be a good spot. We didn't indulge in bottomless mimosas but others seemed to enjoy. I did appreciate that you could make a reservation online. Although it's a little strange you can't call the restaurant directly."

Review 15 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"mango mojito was perfect & tasted incredibly fresh. For dinner, i chose the baked pork chops.. wow.. couldnt of chosen a better dish! the presentation itself was lovely, the grill marks on the pork chop were perfect, the green beans were so fresh & crispy, the salad was beyond fresh. But then again, how could it not be?? Tart is conveinently located across the street from the Farmer's Market. Ive been so curious about Tart, that my bf finally took me for dinner this weekend. I wish i wouldve taken a nice picture to go along with the review, but he tends to get annoyed when i do so.. Regardless, the food is amazing. I have already recommended this place to my coworkers :)"

"Good ambiance, our server was very attentive, and they take their advertisement of bottomless mimosas very seriously! Good brunch spot, packed but not overflowing, and very manageable to get in and out with a reservation. Would definitely recommend as a neighborhood brunch spot."

Review 19 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"This was my 2nd time dining at Tart. 1st experience was a better one. This time I ordered the Braised Collard Greens, Black-eyed peas, Creamed Corn & Fried Catfish. First 2 items were very bland, last 2 items were tasty. Ordered the Fried Pickles and found although the batter was thin enough, it did not adhere well to the pickle, so taste was lost there. Generally these are served with the pickles sliced as opposed to pickle spears. My friend did enjoy the fried chicken & mac & cheese. Lastly, the Cajun Mule drink was a winner. I do enjoy the boothes outside for dining (they have excellent heat lamps) and our waiter, Tom, was very attentive. Surprised me with a birthday cookie & ice cream at the end of the meal, which was very good."

Review 22 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"This is a brunch review only. All of the egg dishes in my party of six for brunch were overcooked, especially the eggs benedict. The yolk of the eggs was solid, not runny as is essential with eggs benedict. The english muffins were also tough to cut through and the ham slightly overcooked and dry. The french toast seemed to be pretty good, but not outstanding. As of now, it's a great place to come and sit on the patio for mimosas or bloody marys... perhaps not so much for the food. Stick with dinner here, it's quite good."

Review 23 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"I had no idea this was such a popular brunch place. When I made my reservation I guess I should have specified that I wanted an outdoor table. Even though I had a reservation, I didn't get seated until 30 minutes later, and at that point we chose an indoor table because we were hungry. It was too loud indoors, and the place had lost it's charm by then, so we decided to leave. Our waiter who served us drinks while we were waiting at the bar was great, though. I had to give the Food a review of Poor, because I never tasted it, and I was required to make a selection."

"I've 'hosted' several brunches here with my girlfriends and always have a great time. The food is great, menu has a lot to choose from and the waitstaff is attentive. It was a little louder there this last time, but we still had fun! Love that it's right across from the The Grove, makes for a fun post brunch adventure."

Review 27 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"My husband and I were so looking forward to dinner at Tart. Unfortunetly it did not turn out well. Our waitress was very busy with larger groups dining and we kind of got ignored. When we did order our drinks,it took quite a while to get them and when she did come back to our table she informed my husband they didn't have one of the ingredients for his drink. So he had to order something else. Also our food was not that tasty. Whatever spice they used on my fried chicken was way too strong.I could hardly eat it.Our waitress never came by ask how our meal was until we finally asked for the check. Not a good experience at all."

Review 30 for TART Restaurant @ Farmer’s Daughter Hotel
"The ambiance and low-key vibe of Tart is exactly what I was looking for when I visited with an out of town friend this weekend. Our waiter was on point with his service, recommendations and attentiveness. Overall our meal was pretty good, with the side dishes and cornbread being the standouts. I'd go back to try a few more dishes and dessert."
