Wolfgang Puck's Spago offers panoramic ocean views from the bar and restaurant serving California cuisine with Pacific Rim influences and local Hawaiian flavors. The Mobil Four Star restaurant opened at the Four Seasons Resort Maui in 2001, teaming America’s greatest chef with the world’s finest hotel group. The Asian-inspired, contemporary designed room is sophisticated, yet relaxed, with carefully selected furnishings that provide both family comfort and romantic evenings both indoors or on the exterior lanai. All of this creates the perfect stage for Chef Cameron Lewark’s brilliant menu, using Hawaii’s premier produce, fish and meats, with the styling that made Spago famous. "Food was excellent. Eaten here several time and have always had great food and service. Something must have been off this night because our service was not good. When you are dropping a lot of money for dinner you should expect good service and this night it was not. Will go back again because of great food and good past experience."

"We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with dinner at Spago. Wonderful meal, great service and a spectacular view. Couldn't have asked for a better evening. Booked a 5:45 p.m. reservation, as suggested, to secure a view table - a perfect setting for this milestone dinner. The staff couldn't have been more gracious."

"The check in was awful. Impression that host/ess was overwhelmed. OK that a outside spot not available, but to wait 15 minutes was not acceptable from this level restaurant. No "drink on us" was offered.
Again the service at the table was sporadic. While servers were well versed in the item and preparation, the flow of food was uneven.
On of the entree's ordered the Seafood Curry was great, the pork was good but the Mahi was overcooked. Apps followed a similar pattern. We skipped desert, why try more?
It's a large restaurant...maybe they can't handle the crowd and the quality expected with the name Spago. Would not return."

"We saved Spago for our last night on Maui expecting a fantastic dinner. We arrived and had a lovely table. From there it went downhill. The table we were facing turned over 4 times, each time a couple set down, got started with their water, and asked to be moved because of too much wind. Very distracting- why would they keep seating people at a table that was not working? Our waiter was very "cool" - but it really ended there. He was very slow to get to us, told my husband he would make sure his lamb was cooked just right (a bit of pink, but not much). My husband's lamb dish was big enough to feed two, and totally pink. I had their fish curry dish was good but too sweet."

"Although the dining room had many tables available, we were asked to go to the bar area and wait for our table to be ready. The bar area was packed, so we went to another area of the hotel for drinks. When we were finally seated, the first 2 items we ordered were unavailable. We then had to wait for 15 minutes for our white wine to arrive, with the explanation that they wanted to make sure it was chilled. It was still warm, so we had to put ice cubes in our $70 bottle of wine. The music was quite inappropriate (many rock songs)for fine dining, we asked the waiter about the music selection. He said it was Wolfgang Puck's favourite music. How nice!!"

"We could not have been more impressed by our dinner at Spago last week. The appetizers were amazing (ahi poke, Tomato soup and sashimi) and the dinner was equally impressive. Every bite was a perfect bite. Even the breads were out of this world.

"After all these years of hearing of the Spago/Chef Puck restaurants around the world, I knew I wanted to experience Spago during our stay at the resort. Thankfully the hype is proven in our food and brink experience this evening with 2 adults and a 7 yr old. Overall great balance of service by our team, made us feel relaxed and unrushed. Great cocktails and wine service from the small vibrant bar, food very flavorful and fresh tasting, kid friendly (you romantic dinner types might want to book your reservation later evening). "Our second visit to this Spago's and we weren't disappointed. The food tastes incredibly fresh and they do a great job incorporating fresh herbs into their dishes. Service was impeccable, and our waiter knowledgeable. We had an inside table this time, so no northern winds to contend with, but still managed to watch the sunset tiki torch lighting ceremony from our table. Another fantastic experience here; we will be back next time we are in Wailea!"

"I had the crab stuffed mahi which was amazing. Initially we thought we had the best seat in the house as we approached our table that overlooked the pool and ocean but when we sat down there were shrubs obstructing our view. If they trimmed those down it would be amazing!It wasn't that busy but our waitress wasn't very attentive after she took our drink order. There was also something going on with a light overhead that sounded like a bug zapper. Despite the negatives it was a great experience and I would definitely go back and give it another try."

"Server was nice, but forgot to put our food order in so we sat for 75 minutes before they noticed? It was too busy and they could not handle the crowd. Too expensive a place for poor service. Front desk hostess girls have attitude as well.

"There ar some seats indoors which really are not Roth eating at the restaurant if you get them. We had a 715pm appointment and we shown two options for four people bothe the worst seats in house and a reason why they were empty. After waiting 20 mins we were seated in a nice outdoor able. Fr the price of the meal seating can greatly affect the experience."

"My wife and I love to eat at any acclaimed chef restaurants. Spago was no exception. We had a wonderful evening and let it slip that we were there for our anniversary and when we we ordered a dessert, they added a personal message to the plating. It was truly a mment to remember."

"This was our first visit to Spago and they did not disappoint. We ordered drinks at the bar and then were seated for dinner. Everything from the waiter, Peter,to the food were outstanding. The chef prepared a coconut soup that was served early and was delicious. We both had a salad and the Mahi Mahi and both agreed it was the best fish we ever ate. Certainly highly recommended and the view is spectacular."

"This was our second time eating here in a week (we were staying at the Four Seasons). We arrived 6 minutes early for our reservation and were told to wait at the bar by the hostess. After about a 20 minute wait and after many couples who came after us were seated, we were given the table right in front of the entrance. When I asked the hostess for a different table, she audibly sighed, rolled her eyes, and said "I'll see what I can do." Nothing happened until I talked with the manager. At that point we were moved to a better table inside the restaurant. We got a nice waiter and the meal was great. This was our last night in Maui and I wanted the dinner to be special. The hostess ruined that experience for us. We will not be returning."

"What a joy to find that this wonderful restaurant as good or perhaps even better than it was over the years we've been coming to the Wailea Four Seasons.
It is a little noisy, but the service, the food and the beauty of this place are remarkable. Nicole, our server, and Daniel, her helper, were delightful and proficient. The food was delicious, interesting and deeply satisfying. We will eat here again for a second time during our long weekend in Maui."

"Spago in the Four Seasons never fails to disappoint. The food is always excellent, particularly the fresh fish preparations, and of course the Ahi poke "cones". The view from the terrace is spectacular, with the ocean breeze blowing gently, and there is an excellent wine selection (although somewhat pricey) to go with the food. Most impressive is the service, which is always friendly, relaxed, and impeccable. Friendly servers who are always available, yet not invasive, and who will spend some time chatting with patrons in real conversation. Heidi and Jeff in particular were fantastic this time, making me feel at home even while dining by myself on this occasion."

"Truly one of the best meals we have ever had. We moved to a new table after being seated at an awesome table - but unfortunately it was right next to and facing a loud group of diners. The hostess was very accommodating. Our waitet was helpful, cheerful and efficient. He directed us to great selections. Our meal started with the best appetizer in the world - poke tuna - and ended with the best dessert - malted chocolate ganache on a rice krispee crust with brown butter macadamia nut ice cream. A total dream dinner and a must-experience treat for the palate and senses. Will definitely go back!"
