"My close friend and I love to eat lunch here when in the neighborhood; however, when my husband and I went there for dinner I was shocked. The restaurant was packed, the bar was packed and the noise level was unbearable! We sat at one of the window tables which took us slightly away from the noise but we could not carry on a conversation. The food was very good as expected, but I will only have lunch there in the future where we can carry on a conversation and eat a very, very good meal. It's too bad...."

"Tables are close together and place is small but you still feel like you have some privacy. Really nice inside and great food. Try the fries for an app, i know that's not conventional at a nicer restaurant but they are delicious!"

"I had eaten there the prior Monday when the caesar salad was not the usual which I had had many times before. I told our waitress this when we decided to order it again. It came and was its usual very good one.She even did not charge us for it.
This time I ordered the lamb which was like a salad I had had there for lunch. It was delicious, but too salty.
The rhubarb-raspberry soup was delicious for dessert. I had had it the prior Monday when it was a bit different in that there had been more pieces of meringue. Very creative, light and refreshing."

"Food was very good - especially liked the fried brussels sprouts - they were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. It was service that was very ragged and took away from the meal's enjoyment. My companion wanted some bread for with her salad and it took 5 or 6 minutes to flag a waiter. When she asked for milk instead of cream with her coffee; it was brought but placed on the table with an attitude (like it was too much trouble)."

"My wife and always enjoy having dinner at Garibaldi's. The room is comfortable,and not too noisy.
The menu will change slightly at times, but our favorite dishes, the chicken Milanese , and the lamb tenderloins are always there.
On our last visit my wife had the sea bass, which she really enjoyed, while I had to get my fave, the tenderloins.
We have never been disappointed with the service or food at Garibaldi's."

"Except for too much noise and much too loud, this is an excellent place. Very difficult to carry on conversations and headache-inducing noise. Surely they can do something to reduce the noise factor. People at all tables are hollering at each other to be heard creating unbearable noise levels."

"We went for an anniversary dinner and sat in the front room area, near the window. Food was delicious and portions very big, which was unexpected. Ambiance was nice, not too loud, not too quiet. Notable dishes: wild mushroom bruschetta, braised short ribs, buttermilk brined pork chop and the strawberry shortcake dessert. Prices very reasonable. Definitely enjoyed our dinner and would reccommend and come back to."

"Excellent appetizers (the chick pea and feta salad, and the Pappas Bravas (crisp fried potatoes in a mildly spicy sauce) led to perfectly braised short ribs. And be sure to try the Tom Waits cocktail (Buffalo Trace, Benedictine and bitters, chilled, served neat). Service was attentive and the portions of everything a very good value.
Garibaldis is a quintessential SF neighborhood place. Well done."

"Fantastic. A great final dinner on our last night in SF. The food was excellent, service first rate and the wine was delicious. Would recommend to friends and family and look forward to going back ourselves. My partners filet mignon was to die for, and my steak tartare starter was sublime! "I invited 2 friends to Garibaldi's for dinner prior to a concert. I asked for a 'quiet' table because we're in our late 60's and have difficulty hearing. We were seated in a separate room from the main dining area with a mirrored wall on one side. Our server was prompt, asked if we had time constraints, and was knowledgeable re: the menu. We shared a delicious, quite ample, grilled squid appetizer, and a wonderful salad. Our Martinis were perfection. The wine, recommended by our waiter complimented all three choices: a special pasta, fresh fish, and a pork chop. Again, the servings were more than ample, the presentation was exciting, the service first rate, and we all felt the food was gourmet. We can't wait to return!"

"I went there with my boyfriend for Valentine's day. The food was great, but not necessarily worth the prix fixe price. Of course, everywhere is marked up on vday. The service was fine, but I didn't feel like the server really cared about us at all. He didn't make any effort to talk to us and we had to get his attention every time we needed anything. No stopping by to see how we were doing or anything. You just expect a lot more when you're putting down that much money for dinner. All of that said, everything came out in good time and no mistakes or rudeness."

"Food that was fresh and quite tasty. Interesting mix of cheeses in the grilled cheese...too good for kids! I am vegetarian and found lots of choices I could eat, but they seem to be a big gourmet burger place for lunch. Saw many going by our table. Attentive but not intrusive waiter, and beverages topped off regularly. It made our day in the city a real treat. "My boyfriend and I went to Garibaldi's for dinner on a Friday night and were very impressed with our experience there. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable, and it definitely felt like a special place for a night out together. We ordered the chickpea salad with feta, butternut squash soup, the California halibut and the chicken Milanese - all delicious! I would also highly recommend the Man O'War cocktail!
We had a great time and will definitely go back."
