"We dined here for Mother's Day dinner and sat outside to watch the sunset, but no sunset that day, but so pretty. You do pay a lot more for the view compared to other great Naples restaurants. I only go for special occasions and the sunset on the water."

"Stepping out of my door, I felt the stickyness of summer was back. However, when I arrived at Baleen t was like a tropical island oasis. There was a gorgeous cool breeze, the view was absolutely picture perfect, and the service was based on. Us timer satisfaction."

"My husband and I went on a Monday evening to celebrate our birthdays. Everything was great! We were promptly seated on the outdoor terrace (as requested) with the spectacular view of the beach and water. The service was top notch - very polished, constantly refilling water glasses, very attentive. Our server, Gary, was very helpful on food recommendations. I had the tuna, which was excellent, and my husband had the pork tenderloin, as part of the price fixed menu, also very good (but not as good as my tuna!). While the meals may be a bit pricey, we felt they were completely in line with comparable restaurants in the area .... and with that view .... priceless!!"

"We just love Baleen's for the view and excellent service, also the nightly special dinner menu. Baleen's has great salads and soups but some of the main entree's lack flavor. Never found one dish we really enjoyed. The presentation is lovely but the taste is plain.
The beef tips especially is served in a mush of soft veggies and gravy and has no taste. Some of the sauces on the pork and fish are thick and salty. We will continue to come back but when people ask us how's the food our remark is always the same " the food is OK but the view is great""

"My husband and I have dined at Baleen several times. The view is just spectacular . The sun nets are fabulous .
We took our friends who were visiting from up North and they were very impresses with the view and the food.

The scallops were cooked to perfection. My husband had the snapper and he also enjoyed every morsel.
Our guest loved their dinners also. The desserts were great. Our friends had the creme brûlée and we had the lemon tart and it was all wonderful.
We love dining at Baleen , it's always a special evening when we dine there."

"Our fourth trip to a favorite restaurant this season started out bad as the hostess told us we were to early (five-ten) minutes and asked us to wait in the bar. We ordered a drink and before we were served the same hostess came over and told us we would lose our table if we were not seated immediately. After waiting for the bar bill (twenty minues) I joined our seated party. Ordered wine which took twenty minutes to appear. Service was spotty and inattentive. Food arrived late with the waiter explaining that they were experiencing a crush due to a wedding (with plans to renovate the kitchen during the off season to expect improvement). Not my problem. Food was bland and tasteless. When you are paying $125 per person I expect better."

"The views from all seats are beautiful- right on the ocean with a great sunset. Unfortunately, the food was relatively tasteless. I had the black grouper and my wife the snapper. There was no flavor at all to mine, and very little to my wife's. The mojito was also pretty bad. The server could not have been better. Very attentive and willing to make small dietary changes. I feel bad that he had to serve such mediocre food."

"One of our favorite restaurants that we have visited often over the years. This year we have been very disappointed on two separate occasions. On the first occasion, we took a reservation at 8:15p, which was much later than we normally eat at Baleen. However upon arrival at the appointed time, we were told that it would be about an hour wait yet. We had to take a table inside the restaurant if we wanted to be seated by 8:30p. On this second occasion, I made a reservation more than a week in advance for 7pm. Upon arrival, we were told it would be about one hour wait again. We ultimately decided to eat outside in the bar area rather than wait for our table. The service was very, very slow. Probably the poorest service we have ever experienced"

"Very crowded and a little chaotic. We arrived early to watch sunset and waited about 45 minutes to get first drink. Then table was 20 minutes late. Then three of us were seated at a table set for 5. Will wait to go back after season."

"Food was good as always. I go there about once a month but my last two visits were disappointing because they do not guarantee outside seating. The first time I had to wait 45 minutes. The second time I settled for seating inside after a 20 minute wait. I put them in the penalty box for 3 months and will not try them again before July."

"We had a wonderful experience at Baleen's. We were celebrating a birthday and they acknowledged the birthday girl without any prompting from us. They put a rose on the table for her and she received a complimentary dessert of her choice - a nice surprise since we were hosting.
It was surprisingly noisy for an outdoor setting however and conversation was a little difficult. Two diners shared the paella, but both thought it was a little dry and oddly flavored. Other meals (flank steak) were very good though.
The location is magnificent and there was a beautiful sunset. The heaters and firepit in the sand add to the overall effect and, as the sun goes down, the whole setting transforms - magical!"
