"Food was food enjoyable, but overpriced. Seafood platters were really nice, my family was happy. Mediterranean salad had almost no beets and the blood oranges were replaced with 4 tiny mandarin oranges. What a huge disappointment since my meal was lobster bisque and salad. The meal was nice, but I'm not rushing back anytime soon."

"Our reservations were for 8 pm, sat down at 830. Ordered pretty quickly because it was packed, finally got our food at 10:15.
Scallops were fresh and delicious, same with the tuna. Other than being there for almost 3 hours, we enjoyed the food and ambiance."

"We decided to go out pn a Thursday night and made reservations through Open Table, very easy.
We have eaten here before but this time it was even better. There were four of us and each one of our
dishes were delicious, fresh and full of flavor. Two of us ordered off of the fixed-price menu,

"We've been to the Limani Grill many times coming from dockland County, NY to meet friends from Central NJ. This time we were a little disappointed in what was one of our favorite restaurants. Prices had been raised since our last visit and were too high for the dishes offered. My crusted cod was not really crusted but had a blob of crusting on top and was swimming in a red broth...not what I had expected. The special Greek salad was mostly tomato with very little feta cheese....very disappointing. We will not go back."

"Before dining here, I had heard lots of good things about this restaurant, but never imagined exactly how good it is! There were 4 of us, and everyone had something different, and everyone LOVED their meal! The food was fantastic! The service was friendly and attentive, but not overly so, and our waiter was very knowledgeable about all the dishes and answered all our questions. I just can't say enough good things about Limani, and we WILL be back....soon!"

"I have been going to Limani since it opened. George knows how to run a restaurant providing the freshest ingredients and great staff with a pleasant attitude. The menu is extremely varied from simple grilled seafood to more ambitious mediteranean food and it succeeds on all levels.

"My boyfriend and I had such a fantastic dining experience at Limani Seafood Grill!
The restaurant offered such a yummy-sounding extensive menu that we wanted to order everything, but we ended up ordering the fish taco app, steamed littleneck app, the lamb chops, and the whole bronzino. We were extremely satisfied because everything came out hot, in a timely order, and exactly as we requested.

"Went on Sunday evening for a special anniversary because we have always had great food here. The food was delicious but the pace of the meal was definitely hurried which we have never experienced before when dining on Saturday night. The restaurant closes at 8 on Sunday and it was apparent that the staff was anxious to close up. Unlike previous meals, there was no time to linger or savor the food between courses. "As mentioned before a bit noisy because of the small size. Service was outstanding. Cheerful, attentive, and helpful in every way. The food was surprisingly average. The raw oysters were fresh and fantastic but the cocktail sauce had too much ketchup and the mignonette was too overpowering as well. The calamari were nice and tender although a bit bland and the marinara and Asian sauce were both under seasoned and disappointing. The entree sea bass was excellent all around although the roasted potatoes were more like boiled. The special entree of scallops was very disappointing. They were cooked perfectly but the apple and fig side was way too sweet and overpowered the entire dish. That and the sauces gave the food 3 stars."

"The food was good, the menu was vast and the service stunk. I had an 8pm reservation on a Saturday night. Our order wasn't taken until 9pm. I did alert the manager and he did give us a free appetizer which was nice (and delicious seared tuna! YUM!). I would recommend this restaurant for people who are not concerned with how quickly they dine. We all had a lot to talk about so we didn't mind that our meal took 3 hours from start to finish but on an ordinary Saturday night, I probably would have. I mean each extra hour we dine is another hour we pay the babysitter. Ironically, the one thing on the menu that was supposed to take a long time (chocolate souffle) actually came out quickly and was not hot enough."

"The fact that it is packed on a Friday night with a line of people waiting for a table really speaks for itself. If you love fresh, perfectly prepared seafood this is absolutely the place for you! The crispy and spicy buffalo shrimp salad is the best salad I have ever tasted. I order it as an appetizer everytime I go. My husband always gets the daily selection of oysters. I usually vary what entree I get and it never disappoints! I grew up in NYC and this place rates high on my best restaurant list!

"Spending Easter Sunday at Limani's was absolutely the right way to go!
Food was excellent (especially the LAMB), service was outstanding, and the company was superb! Not having to clean the house, shop, cook, and clean up afterwards made the day even better.
George and his whole crew made everything wonderful. Very warm and welcoming with a great selection of appetizers, unique main courses (in case anyone didn't want lamb), and delicious fresh desserts.

"Don't know how the Owner, George, does it week after week and always having so many new and inventive specials - all done to perfect!
This week it was fresh crab and guacamole nachos for a starter. The calamari appetizer was excellent along with the word famous fish tacos! Mains this week included halibut is a fresh tangerine sauce (yum), sauted monkfish in a light and delicate lemon and wine sauce, and HUGE shrimps for the scampi.
We return all the time because of the creative dishes, great portions, courteous staff, and awesome Owner! Being a BYOB is the icing on the cake."

"Everything was delicious and the serving sizes were large; we only ordered 3 appetizers and had plenty to take home. The grilled octopus is heavenly, and the fish tacos had some surprising flavors - just the right amount of spicy plus some avocado that perfectly balanced everything. One of the waiters sings and plays guitar on Thurs night (maybe Friday too?) - our table was right in front of him and the music volume was just right - not too loud. It was romantic. The place was packed, but not too noisy."

"Have returned to this storefront seafood restaurant in Westfield several times and have never been disappointed. The price fixe 3-course menu available mid-week is a real value. The quality of the seafood and the interesting preparations are well worth the $39 price tag. I had the cod prepared mediterrean style while my husband had the stuffed atlantic char. Both were very well prepared and delicious. Our waitress was excellent, attentive, knowledgeable, and very friendly. All in all, a wonderful dining experience."

"The place was packed on a Saturday night, with a large queue in front of the hostess, so don't show up without a reservation. It was quite noisy, which is a factor of small size and popularity. That was the only reason why we did not ultimately rate it as "excellent" as we strained our vocal cords holding a conversation. The food, nonetheless, is EXCELLENT, starting with Mediterranean staples for appetizers and continuing on to various seafood entrees. Our company of four tried nearly a dozen items on menu and found all of them delicious (I especially enjoyed flaming Saganaki cheese and the Monkfish special). BYOB helps keep the cost of the meal down."

"We had diner there on a Saturday evening around 7:00. We really liked the ambiance in the back room and the service was well-timed and friendly. My husband really enjoyed his cod with pistachio. The fish was fresh and well done but he would've preferred not having it sit on so much mashed potato. My steak and side dish were delicious. We will return to try more dishes to this very good BYO."

"We had an excellent dinner at Limani Seafood Grill this week. It was my first time at this establishment although my date had been many times. Our server, Katelyn, was excellent. We availed ourselves of the very reasonable Prix Fixe menu which is available during the week only, apparently (if I have that correct). I had monkfish, while my date had swordfish. They were both very tasty. Prix Fixe included apps, salad, and main course. The baba ghanoush and hummus I had was really great - especially if you like your food on the spicy side."

The wait for food was a bit longer that expected as was the wait between courses, probably because it was unusually crowded for a Tuesday night. The food was nicely prepared and tasty. We love the appetizers (Kumamoto oysters, Thasalomezes (char-grilled seafood), Saganaki (pan-seared greek cheese, flamed with ouzo) and the mediterranean whole fishes, particularly the Bronzino / Lavraki. "This was my second time at Limani and I was not disappointed. My friend and I ordered the lobster bisque and fries calamari as appetizers. The only disappointment being the fried calamari didn't include any tentacle pieces, which everyone knows is the best part. However, both apps were delicious. For entrees my friend got an ahi tuna special which she loved, and I got the crab-stuffed-flounder which was awesome. Dessert was even better. Creme brûlée for my friend, and what was called The Dream Tartufo for me. Milk chocolate encasing peanut butter ice cream with a caramel center. Yes, it was as amazing as it sounds. They even put a candle in it and wrote Happy Birthday on the plate in caramel (it was my birthday). All in all a wonderful tim."

"The restaurant was buzzing, not an empty table to be had, yet the service was prompt and courteous, the food spot on. Bronzino was our choice and it was a good one, grilled to perfection accompanied by asparagus and lemon roasted potatoes.
