"We have dined with Maggiano's Naperville before and have never had an issue, however this time our service was terrible. We waited 45 minutes before we received our drinks, even after approaching a manager who was passing our table at the 20 minute mark. Our server was apologetic since it was her first time serving and we can understand that however the manager was not helpful to her at all. Our entire meal took over 3 hours for lunch. There were issues with the food and our dessert that was supposed to be boxed to take home was never received. Overall our whole party was disappointed despite the occasion of a graduation celebration."

"I would suggest wearing a blazer when going. It is very upscale Italian dining. And they give you an extra meal to take home for free. I would recommend going here any day!"

"The food took way too long to be served. After the appetizers had all been eaten there was a good 30 minute wait for the main course. By the time the food came no one was hungry any longer. It would have been nice for a manager or the server to acknowledge that we had been waiting for quite a while for our food. They comped my sons kids meal because that didn't come out until 10 minutes after we finally got the main course. A kind gesture but not enough to make us feel the restaurant was sorry for our long wait. Since it was mother's day you would think they would have been on their "A" game!"

"The food was good, but would probably not go back for a special occasion like Mother's Day. It was too crowded and they just brought food out as it came up. We ordered an appetizer, and while we specifically asked for them to hold our main food order, the pasta came out before the appetizer. That was disappointing. We canceled the appetizer."

"We ate here on Mother's Day. Nothing special. Our server was okay, she never offered us a wine list. She showed us a wine card, three bottles, on a table stand and that was it. Several times, we had to ask passing people wearing headsets if they worked there and if they could bring us more water or a coke refill. It was very busy, so I do understand the fact that we didn't the server too often. A suggestion would be to hire people to refill waters and to remove plates off of the table, especially at peak days. As far as quality of food, it was just okay. Next time I have the hankering for pasta, I think I will suggest Olive Garden."

"The food was great as usual. The service was very, very slow. It took so long to get our salads that we hardly had time to finish them before our entrée arrived. We were at a table for 6 and my chair was constantly bumped as people walked past. The noise level was loud, but that is typical. We come here once in awhile for the food, that's about it. It would be nice if they didn't pack in so many tables so close to each other. Definitely not a place to go and enjoy conversation."

"Maggiano's is really one of the best Italian restaurants in fine Italian tradition. If you are hungry this is the place to go. You get huge portions and unless you are a lumberjack you are taking some food home with you. It is not just volume food though, it is very good food. My daughter had a salmon dish that she was still talking about the next day.

Whether you have a taste for Fish, Pasta or Steaks I would recommend bringing your family here."

"I have attended this restaurant before on a weekday and really enjoyed it. I would give that experience a 10 out of 10.

This day was the day before a Mothers Day and I would give it a 1 out of 10. We were not served our 1st appetizer until 1 hour 45 min into being there. We ended up having to have the bill fixed 4 times because there were incorrect charges. After all of the mix ups and food delays we were there for 3 and a half hours.

The woman serving us was given several group tables to serve and it was her first day on her own. Obviously the manager should not have put that much on her shoulders and to make matters worse, everytime she needed help you could tell she was upset that no one would help her."

"We had a very good time on Saturday; You were quite busy on Sat. afternoon, but staff was pleasant and helpful.
We had to wait for our table set-up as folks were sitting around talking. No big problem; staff was responsive.
Our food was very good; extra dinners were a treat; service team was great; they served us well with high energy.

"My family always loves dining at Maggiano's because the food is great and the atmosphere lively. Everyone tries what the others have and we share all entries. Then we walk out with the extra meals they give us and enjoy more great Italian cooking for the nbext couple days. Try the Calamari, you won't be disappointed!"

"We celebrated my wife's parents 51st anniversary at Maggiano's. Somebody forgot to make reservations for all of us. On the way there, we used the Open Table app to make reservations. Our table was easily accessible for my father in laws wheelchair. The waiter was attentive, food hot, and excellent. We had family style dining and took home lots of leftovers. We highly recommend Open Table for reservation making and Maggiano's."

"We went there on a Sunday night for dinner. We needed a gluten free menu. They do not have a separate menu but have GF pasta and will ask the chef any questions that you may have about the dishes. Both the main menu and children's menu had plenty of options.The main problem was the slowness of service. We had two waiters assigned to our table of 5. After our food was served, no one checked to see if we needed any thing. They finally checked on us at the end of the meal but we had run out of drinks long before that. After dessert it took a while to get the bill. Overall I would give a grade of a C- due to lack of service after the food was served."

"We had a 4:30 reservation and the place was crowded. The service was affected by the amount of people and if I had to do it over again, I would have chosen another restaurant. A little thing like the waitress not taking the menu list off the table was frustrating since the tables are smallish for a party of four with all the glasses, silverware, salt, pepper, oil and plates on the table. The appetizer (mozzarella and tomato) was great. The pastas are awesome. It's too bad that with that many happy customers coming to visit, that service is not better. Next time, we'll get the take out instead."

"Food is consistent and good. My family eats here a few times a month b/c my son loves it, decent value, kid friendly and 1/2 way between my house and my parents'. If any of these things weren't true, I probably wouldn't go. The service is pretty obnoxious. The upsell on everything is annoying - wine, app, dessert - and now they want charitable donations - I don't want to be solicited by my waiter for donations. So many staff that it was just too "busy" to be relaxing at all. The whole dinner was all about the waiter and the girl he was training (seemed that everyone was training someone). Great service is when I have all I need without feeling like the waiter is interrupting EVERY conversation. I'm ready for a Maggiano's break for a while."

"We had a reservation for 6:00 PM, showed up a couple of minutes early and had to wait 1/2 hour for our table. The server was more interested in selling us Make A Wish entrees and making a donation than being a waitress. Food was poor, lots of it but not worth it.

Table was full of advertisements which I had to argue with the waitress to remove them. What's up with that?"

"This is by no means any fault of Maggiano's but something to consider if you are taking elderly people.

My husband and I took his 70+ year old parents to Maggiano's for dinner. When we arrived at 6pm the noise level was moderate. Everyone could hear each other without having to shout. Then about 7pm, a very loud group of business men were seated next to us and at 7:30 a couple with a young child learning to control his volume sat on our other side. "We must have hit this restaurant on an off night. We had a reservation for 5:30 and did not get seated till 5:55. No one came to the table but a hostess who really was a bartender helping out. She was awesome and brought water and took our order. Then 10 minutes later the real waiter came. He clearly had too many tables and brought our salads and did not see him again for 40 minutes when our entree finall came out. We ordered the Make a wish dinner for 2. We didn't even get our dessert. We had a gift card for 50.00. When the bill came the waiter came and told us the kitchen had a "meltdown " and we waited too long for our food. There was a 50 percent discount on the bill. We did not expect that. We were hoping to use up the gift card."
