"We had a great waiter. , apps came quickly , however dinner took over an hour. , had to get a manager to get our food . My husband is a diabetic and my grandson was starving , glad I brang his own snacks from home. The manager only took off our apps. , I thinkb she should haved comped the whole dinner was NOT worth 110.00. Not happy nor will be returning"

"We had been to Buca Di Beppo in San Francisco, and were looking for one in Southern California once we moved here. Irvine was the perfect location for us. It's half-way from our home in Dana Point and my daughter's home. The food was great. The atmosphere pleasant, and the decor was so outrageous that it gave us all something to talk about for the nearly two hours we were there. Thank you! We found our new neighborhood restaurant."

"Basically I made Reservations, called back to confirm and said we might be early. We were early and still waited 10-15 minutes beyond our 9pm reservation for a table. The initial response was because our 9pm reservation was so late, being a little early shouldn't be an issue. Our table was a long table that made socializing with the group difficult. The saving grace of the evening was the waiter and food were excellent. The staff who were preparing to close obviously wanted us gone, its not my fault they close at 11 or that they seated us so late."

"I tried to make a reservation for Saturday evening at 7:45 PM. By accident the default time of 7:00 PM. The service told me that there was a mistake in that I could not request a time that had already passed. I re entered the data to request the proper time and Open Table said that I could not make another reservation because I already had one within two hours. This was extremely frustration. I finally just called the restaurant and they told me that they did not accept reservations less than two hours prior to the requested time."

"Food was great. Upon entering the restaurant though, we were encouraged to sit in the bar because of a large party coming within the hour. Amazingly, it was quiet in the bar for about 50% of our time at the restaurant. Eventually though, people started coming into the bar and it became kind of a cocktail hour with people standing around, drinking and talking. From that point on, the visit to this Buca di Beppo was a bust..."

"I love the ambiance. There are many fun and racy photos / pictures set around the 50's and Italian theme. My friend is a Sophia Loren fan and got a real kick out of her photos.
I ordered the seafood with pasta, which was good. They didn't skimp on the seafood but the noodles were overdone.
I brought my friend there for his birthday. After lunch, they sung an Italian birthday song with a candelabra but no dessert. I was dissapointed."

"My husband and I shared the lasagna, and it was ok. My two children ordered the kid's meal, and chose the pizza. They didn't like it at all. My son LOVES pizza, and he had enough with one bite (!) He said the cheese had a "funny" taste. I tried one bite, and although I didn't dislike it, it didn't make an impression. It is an "adult pizza" taste,though, with a combination of aged cheeses. Manager was nice and fair and didn't charge us for the kids' meals. OK food in general. However, the cesar salad was spectacular!"

"Walking to the table through the bar and through another walkway there was a horrible musty/mildew smell. The whole restaurant just doesn't seem inviting. The food was okay at best. Had to ask for our garlic bread twice; not from our server because we saw her only once after our food was brought out (to bring the check) and was then upset because we asked for refills.
There are too many places to go to eat to put up with bad service. This was a lesson learned."

"Always great food! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, we have tried almost everything and have yet to be disappointed. Our favorite is the Chicken San Remo, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, peas all blend nicely to give a hearty pasta dish a light feel. Also, Chicken parmesan is the best I've ever had. Service is a bit canned, very generic service, like you would expect at most chains these days."

"My major complaint was the service. We were basically pushed towards the door as soon as we were seated. We were asked for our order not one minute after sitting down. Then we ordered an appetizer. A few mins later the entree... Only to have both come to the table at the exact same time. I ordered a bottle of wine early on and I felt like we were forced to chug it. Worst experience I've had at this restaurant, its usually good."

"Server not very attentive. Forgot or was very late with ordered items and then was rushing us out and dropping off check as soon as we received our entrees without even asking if we wanted dessert. It was Valentines day so I understand busy but this wasn't busy it was disorganized. I worked food service for seven years so I know the difference. We have been here many times and have always enjoyed our rime there until that night. It wasy birthday as well and the server tolds us they would sing and even showed is the words but that never happened. Food was great as always, we have spent the last four Valentines days here but I don' t kmow id we will be back next year."
