Buca di Beppo - Claremont
Buca di Beppo serves authentic Italian cuisine in an eclectic, vintage setting. Our dishes are served family-style, meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Two sizes are available: BUCA SMALL feeds up to two and BUCA LARGE feeds up to four. At Buca, guests delight in our lively atmosphere, enjoy the classic tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and admire our décor, including family photos and candid shots of Italian-American icons, such as Sophia Loren and Joe DiMaggio. "My sons took me to eat here for Mother's Day! The food and the atmosphere were great, but my kids were disappointed that they were out of syrup for iced tea and italian soda. They were also out of meatballs but after we had already placed our order, we were told that they had some. Overall, it is a great place to eat with family and friends. The portions are big. We had a fantastic time!"

"We were seated promptly and had a corner booth... a first!
Chandler our server, was cordial and happy to answer menu questions and offered suggestions.
Our meal was served quickly, hot and fresh. Since it was Mother's Day, the kitchen was making lots of salads and this slowed our Italian Cream Cake dessert... but, were we surprised when told there'd be no charge due to the delay.
We declined for two reasons; You were very busy, we love Buca di Beppo!
So, thanks again for wonderful staff, good food and the thoughtfulness!"

"Made reservations for a party of 8 for a Mother's Day lunch. Waited just a few minutes to be seated, greeted promptly by server, drink and food orders were delivered promptly, food was great as usual. A little noisy but a busy day for them so lot of folks in the place. Good chain restaurant prices, are on the high side but certainly lots of food"

"Bucca di Beppo in Claremont, CA. is an excellant place to eat and relax. The astmosphere and service is wonderful. Everything I ordered was so so good. I really enjoyed the family style of serving and could enjoy all the different italian foods. This restaurant is great for lunch or dinner. It is relaxing because you don't feel rushed to eat and get out even though they are very busy. The restaurant also takes reservations on Holidays, which was perfect for our large group."

"After trying to get reservations at "O.G" and being told they were not accepting and the wait was going to be an hour, I went on-line to find another Italian restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day with my family and my 84 year old Mother. Found Buca di Beppo and they were accepting reservations right on-line and had a table for the time we wanted on Saturday!
We were pleased with the fast service, the huge portions and the "homey" ambiance of the restaurant. The only "minus" I can state is that we were seated close to the bar and had the noise of the blender interrupting our conversation several times.
You prices are reasonable, the food very tasty and we left with "meals to go" because the portions are so generous! Thanks for the memory!"

"We went to Bucca for my birthday dinner. We had a waitress that didn't care too much about us. Our cups were always empty, we didn't even receive all the drinks we ordered! When we brought this to her attention later in the dinner, she said I can you you it now. But it was too late. We never got the napkins we asked for. we kept asking the buss boy things we needed. We wanted to add a salad to our order and we had to get up to find some one. Also, the speghetti did not have any flavor that night. UGH! Some birthday dinner with my friends! It was horrible!!! The manager didn't come over to talk to us after we asked the waitress (on the rare occasion we saw her) to ask her to the table. I could go on...

"2 disappointments that really brought down my experience (especially considering our occasion). It was my daughters 13th birthday, Buca is the place she chose to have her special dinner, they used to give a nice desert for the guest of honor along with a cheerful song (a big part of the fun of coming to Buca for birthday's) this time nothing, oh they did sing, the waiter and busboy sang for about 5 seconds and that was it. No big group of staff coming to join in, no celebratory feeling, not even a scoop of ice cream! What happened? Is it the economy? Are they trying to cut back on the things that make Buca special to save money?"

My family of four love to have pieces of bread before the main dish was served.
We have waited and waited but BREAD never arrived. Appetizers and salads were served, and
we just passed the bread for the next time. We have noticed that other tables were

"Excellent reservation seating. Waited only 2min upon arrival to be seated, everything went perfect up until it took about 30 to 40 min waiting on our main entree that went in at same time that our appetizer order went in. Waiter obviously noticed that either he forgot or kitchen was lagging that he sent over manager to comp a dessert for the negligence. But the fact stood that once main entree arrived it didnt taste well or possibly i was too full from empty air. BUCCA has never failed us on previous visits but it did this time."

"The fact that large dinner parties are put in the same room is a challenge. Last night there was a large party that just finished there dinner. They stood up and surrounding my table of two and loudly talked, laughed and loved. Fine! It wasn't until one person from the party set something on my table to get something from from her wallet did it become an issue. My server kindly noticed and removed the item from my table. Get a manager that can heard the standing crowd into the lobby or outside. The table next to mine had the same opinion."

"This was our wedding anniversary. Buca was great. The waiter was great (the swecond in one week), the food was fine. Only complaint - I bit into a piece of chopped garlic in the ziti. Ugh. The ziti seems to be much more garlicky than when they introduced it. But it was a wonderful anniversary dinner."

"our experience was not great.reservation was good because they were very busy and we were seated in just a few minutes.the problem came aft our order was taken,like i said they were very busy but I don't think the management were ready for it.our orders took wa too long to be srved to us 2 of our orders came about 30min aft initially take with the final plate being served about 20-30min aft that...safe to say we will not be returning on a special ocasion night in the future"

"We were a group of eight so we were seated in one of the large party rooms. It was a bit noisy but what do you expect when everyone in the room is celebrating birthdays. Anyway servers were friendly and attentive, however it did take a little to long for the main entrées to come out after the apptitizers and salad. Overall it was a good experience."

"No issues with the food because it was amazing! but, upon sitting down on our table, there was a lot of dust on the silverwares and on the table. I think it came from the air vent that was right on top. Once we received the drinks and the food, the waiter dissapeared, we had to get up to look for him to get parmesan cheese. It will also be nice to receive fresh bread while we wait for our food as most restaurants do."
