"Went for dinner with a friend and it was very loud because of the bar crowd. We were squeezed into a table by the bar with little breathing room. Food was decent but service very slow and we had to flag down a waiter several times. Very nonattentive. Had a better experience last time I was there."

"The food was very good (though I thought it could use a little more salt and herbs on the vegetables and mashed potatoes were a little bland). Service was great - had a wonderful server. Lots of choices for wine by glass. AND if you take your receipt from dinner upstairs to Bookmark's rooftop lounge after dinner you get 10% off drinks for the rest of the night! Awesome outdoor space!"

"We had a reservation for three people, which the restaurant kept and kept well, giving us a special spot away from the crowd. Our reservation was for 1 o'clock, which we knew would be the height of the lunch rush and it sounded like that. But once we passed 1:45 it calmed down. Luckily for us, we were not in a hurry. We took our time, enjoying a drink and catching up. We put in an order late, and by the time it arrived the crowd had thinned appreciably. The food was modestly good, but then we kept it simple. The service was top notch, very attentive even when the restaurant was at its busiest. All in all, a place to come back to, just not at 1. ."

"No one has told these folk that they need to be able to serve the 2 course prefix in 45 mins at lunchtime. My emphatic complaint after waiting at least 15 min for first course rattled the server who did not handle it well."

"The restaurant is very small but yet it took 1/2 hour for our shrimp cocktail appetizer to arrive and another 1/2 hour for our lunch to arrive. The steak salad that we ordered had 4 tiny slices of steak on a bed of greens. No effort was put into making the plate look appealing. We walked out feeling just as hungry as we did when we walked in. Not impressed."

"I had been wanting to go to this restaurant for some time as I pass by it regularly. I made reservations a few days in advance (and there was plenty of availability around the time I wanted). But when I got there, the table they had reserved was almost in the doorway and on a very cold evening, it was unbearable. It was the only talble available, but when I asked if all the others guests had reservations, all I got was a shrug. They had a limited beer selection (no non-alcoholic selections) and while the burger itself was good, the promised "beefsteak tomato" was too green to recognize. Ruined the evening with an old friend I hadn't seen in some time."
