"My friend and I had a fine time at Fino for lunch the other day. We ate outside on the very pleasant balcony. We couldn't hear anyone else's conversation and they couldn't hear ours. The food was great and it was all we could have wanted."

"The eggs benedict wasn't good. The poached eggs on all the dishes at the table were way overdone. The english muffin was so tough you couldn't cut it. The hollandaise sauce was almost nonexistent. Very disappointing. The shrimp and grits and the sweet waffle were great. Since I am a eggs benedict foodie, we won't be back."

"delicious food, good service, wonderful wine list. Been here many, many times and we always love it. The appetizers themselves are delicious and can be a meal on their own. The ratatouille entree was delicious! The sorbet and ice cream trio dessert were yummy too. Highly recommend the beet salad and the brussel sprouts side dish. Shrimp and grits entree was also well liked by our friend. All in all, a wonderful dining experience as always."

"The service and kitchen were both off. There were 6 of us. My daughter was celebrating her birthday. Our waiter took the orders first from the men for every order. She never checked in after our courses were served to see if everything was ok
The kitchen did not deliver coarses in a timely fashion. They would bring 2-3 dishes from starters to second coarse to main entree. This made for an unpleasant dining experience as we sat looking at our food while we waited 10 mins for the others to be served
My husband got the salad special and was almost half way finished when the server brought over a small dish of grapefruit that was forgotten to be in the salad. The seafood patella had burned rice. So badly it was black in the sides and bottom"

"FINO is a one of our favorite date night spots. The service is great, but relaxed. The menu changes periodically, and a great meal can be had availing oneself of the tapas and small plates. They are one of the better locavore establishments, emphasizing locally raised meat and produce. Heck, ever the beer selection was locally brewed! When the weather permits, which is pretty often here in Austin, their patio is probably the best setting for outdoor dining in town. All in all, a favorite!"

"I took my date for Valentine's Day to this special place and was amazed. The food could be pictured in a magazine, the service was something special, and the palette could not have been happier. I honestly spent half of what I expected after eating at other comparable, upscale restaurants. This place is a diamond in the rough and I have made it a point to tell everyone I know about it. Find it before the rest of Austin does."

"Fino was amazing. It being relatively close to UT's campus, I was a little skeptical at first. But upon arrival I realized this place was a great find. The upstairs, outdoor patio is the perfect place to have drinks or even enjoy your meal. They have a cozy seating area with big couches where you can wait if you don't have a reservation. My date and I were lucky enough to get what the owner said was the most coveted table in the restaurant (table 50). The food was amazing and the portions/prices fit well enough so that you can try a lot of different things without racking up a huge bill. The service was awesome also, and the owner stopped by to chat for a while. Will definitely come back here (especially for Paella Tuesdays)!"

"Overall a very nice experience; food was wonderful...could use dimming the lights a little bit. We had candles on the table but the overhead lights were a bit overwhelming. It would be more romantic with a little more ambiance."
