"This is one of just a few places offering a nice evening of fine dinning in the wine country. We ate out on the patio and it was very pleasant with beautiful surroundings. The tables are far enough apart that you don't hear the conversations of the tables around you and you are not rushed. The waiter and server were very attentive. Because this was a special occasion I had requested something that was not on the menu and the chef was kind enough to accomodate. He presented the meal personally and it tasted perfect. Renee, made all the arrangements and went out of her way to set things up."

"This restaurant has the option to sit outside so if the weather permits (which it usually will) then sit outside. The views of the vineyard itself were breathtaking and food was amazing. My boyfriend ordered the New York Strip, while I ordered the Filet Mignon. This was one of the best steaks I have ever find. We are wine club members so I would absolutely go back!"

"Went here for my wife and my 4 year anniversary. We could not have asked for better service! The waitress was extremely attune to our needs and made sure we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! "Our server was a bit precocious but extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He checked in with us at the right times and at the right frequency. The food was very good. I had the butternut squash bisque. Very tasty - might be a bit sweet for some but was well composed. For entree I had the Frutti di Mare and it was excellent. It's pasta and seafood (shrimp, mussels, clam, lobster, scallops, etc.) in a cream sauce. Was not as heavy as it sounds. My wife had the salmon plank and also really enjoyed it. We had South Coast wines with the meal and they were all quite good. It was a very enjoyable experience."

"Our experience at the Vineyard Rose started out nicely, we had a great waitress Deborah who was there with our drink and dinner orders in a very prompt manner. Unfortunately, there was a table seated across from us that included an entire baseball team, their siblings and their unsupervising parents.The children were surprisingly well behaved but the parent's were not interested in supervising themselves. They were completely unaware that there were other parties around them trying to enjoy their dinner. We paid $40 for a prime rib but not with the side of parents!"

"We came for a special birthday dinner and requested patio seating. The hostess failed to tell me upon arrival that a wedding reception was taking place below, with noise and dancing. It was not loud the entire time but we might have switched to inside. The service was below standard for the prices. Plates were not cleared and we were not asked for drink re-orders. We had to ask several times for our candle to be lit and an ice bucket for wine. The shrimp and calamari were delicious, as was a corn & clam chowder. The food was all good and they brought out a complimentary apple butter cheesecake for the birthday girl. Our waiter was friendly, but they must have been short-staffed to let our plates pile up like that."

"We expected more since it was voted Best Restaurant in the Inland Empire. The food was good, but not better than in most other good SD restaurants. Noisy, but not overly so. Patio seating OK, but no spectacular view. The servers were very friendly. The entrance to the resort was promising, but the restaurant was disappointing because of high expectations. The menu was nothing special - dishes that you see everywhere else."

"We started our meal with salad and soup. Both the corn and clam chowder, and the house salad were excellent. My filet was delicious, however the accompanying asparagus was undercooked. My husband got the steak and lobster which came as a very small portion. Additionally his broccoli rabe was undercooked and too salty. For dessert, they offered a free apple cheesecake which was dry and over cooked and we added a bread pudding that was very good.
While the bus staff was very attentive with refills, our waiter was snooty (not interested and not friendly)."

"We had the sweet corn & crab soup and the pureed butternut squash. Both of which were light and excellent. We had the scallops and prime rib for the main course. The scallops are pan-seared, then roasted, so they have the carmelized crust, BUT are cooked through. The Prime Rib was the best my husband has had and he loved the horseradish. The wine list had a plethora of great wines from South Coast, we had the Brut sparkling, the Chardonnay sen chene and Cucamonga Zin were amazing! Can't wait to come back!"

"If the weather is nice, request a table outside. It's lovely and much quieter than the restaurant. The food is very good and the chef is creative. I still think it's pricey for what you're getting but the setting is really nice and the service is excellent."

"In order to avoid the mad rush for lunch on THE Mother's day, we choose to celebrate our Mother's day on Monday night. The South Coast Winery proved to be PERFECT. Great food, great service and personable waitress, plus a great ambiance. Definitely a place for the special occasion."

"Over the past several years we have been here a few times and have always thought of it as one of the finest dining experiences in the area. While still very enjoyable I can see a bit of decline. The food was good, but not great. The service was good, but not polished as you would expect in a restaurant of this caliber. Granted, we were there for breakfast, which is not what they're known for, but I was still expecting it to be the best in the valley. I would still go back, but not sure my husband would agree."

"This restaurant gets the highest marks in food, service and ambiance. We've been to most of the other restaurants in the Temecula wine area and all pale in comparison. A must for foodies and everyone else. Awesome wines as well."

"We have been staying at this resort for about 5 years around Easter to Mother's day for the weekend and the lodging, food, spa, pool, food, wine and everything is outstanding. The quality of the wine has greatly improved to the point that we will be joining the wine club shortly. They have both single story suites in clusters of 4 looking out over the vineyard and a new 50 unit hotel. The spa is very uptown or should I say very luxurious."

"This was our second Sunday brunch here. First time love love love, sat outside, not too busy - great. This time inside (weather), way too loud and very very busy (great for South Coast - not for customer). Our waitress was great, but she too busy and service than slow. The noise level was just too overwhelming for our group (5), enclosed, very hard to hear and not relaxing. Food is great, but unless I could sit outside - would not do this again."

"I was at the South Coast Winery for a conference, and I enjoyed my solo lunch break at the Vineyard Rose. I had the penne dish which was extremely flavorful for a simple pasta dish.
My only suggestion for the restaurant would be to update their menu to include more modern options for vegetarian-friendly items such as beans and green vegetables. The menu leaned a bit more to the meat and cheese side of things.
That being said, when the waiter asked me if I wanted to add chicken or shrimp to the penne, and I asked for extra veggies instead, they accommodated my request nicely. It would just be nice to see some updates to what is a very nice menu.
The service was great - very friendly and attentive - and the views were lovely."

"The Vineyard Rose has always been one of my favorites in Temecula. The food is great, the wine pairs well, and the service is amazing. Dining inside is great for dinner but the patio is very nice for brunch (I did both on my stay, loved it!). I highly recommend, you will love it!"

"FABULOUS service, FABULOUS food, and an incredible quick kitchen for a Saturday brunch and lunch menu. We couldn't believe how attentive the staff was on a Saturday noon, and how superfast the kitchen was delivering meals for an Event, for Brunch and for Lunch meals. Absolutely incredible operation! "Great brunch with the gals, reasonably priced for wine county! Only thing was since we sat outside onthe patio, they sa us right in the sun, even though there were outside patio seats in shade. Was slightly bothersome but we didnt want to be complaining so we just put up with it. At 9 am in Temecula, it could have been worse!"
