We at Grotto, would like to thank you for your interest in considering our restaurant. Grotto's talented culinary team and our expert service staff are dedicated to providing you and your guests with a truly memorable dining experience. It is our goal to provide a fine dining experience with emphasis on serving the finest U.S.D.A. Prime Beef and Italian specialties. Our side dishes are served family style and are large enough to serve two if desired. At Grotto we have created one of the hottest concepts today; our wine bar provides more than 30 wines by the glass and a very extensive private wine collection by the bottle. At Grotto, we are proud of our elegant design, and boast our contemporary but stunningly elegant interior design and atmosphere—where our guest can have fun, relax and enjoy listening to up-tempo music, while dressed in business or casual attire.

"Had lunch this time terrific steak sandwich, tender and flavorful. I had the cheese ravioli and the portion was perfect for lunch and delicious. Atmosphere is very nice for a quiet lunch, we came later around 2pm so not very busy. They have a great outdoor patio."

"I took my mom to Grotto for Mother's Day buffet(her choice). She loved it. When I saw Helen would be taking care of us, I knew it was going to be a wonderful experience. She is by far the best server at Grotto! We were offered glasses of champagne when we sat down and then invited to partake in the buffet. The choices included: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, eggs benedict, omelets & waffles made to order, ham, lamb, roast beef, chicken vesuvio & limone, salmon, and a dessert table to die for. My only complaint was I didn't have enough room to try everything. I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"We dined on Friday before Mother's Day to avoid the crowds and enjoy the special occassion. We had the evening specials that were seafood and they were very tasty. We had an excellent server, Helen, who was very pleasant and made note of future events at the restaurant that makes us want to return."

"My husband and I have been talking about Gaving to go here for almost a year. We finally made our way there on a Saturday evening. Made a reservation for 8. The staff indicated things were running behind and offered us a booth in the lounge. We accepted, first mistake. Very Olund and then we waited for someone to come and assist us. One of the wait staff in the bar finally came over - let me say she was wonderful and would be the only reason I would return.
The food was good, nothing spectacular .
To the young lady in the bar who took care of us, thank you so much!!! You saved our evening!"

"We went to Grotto for the first time. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. They have a kids menu but my daughter wanted a steak from the regular menu. When I spilled a glass of water, they were right there to immediately clean it up. We would definitely go there again. Oh, the food was excellent."

"We do dining for birthday rather than gifts in our family unless it is a "big" birthday. So, my son's fiance selected Grotto for Brunch for her birthday. The restaurant is nicely spaced and the decor is neutral. The food was set up in the bar area so you were away from tables of people while selecting your food. There was a nice variety of food, both breakfast and lunch items, along with the omelete station, egg station and carving stations. However, in my opinion, the desserts were seriously lacking. Unless you were a chocoholic you had one selection and that was cheesecake. They had a fresh fruit platter at the dessert table but that was completely picked over. They were replacing everything with fresh items except that."

"I had the Chicken Piccata the breading was to salty,my wife ordered the Chicken Vesuvio & it also was to salty.Although our waiter was friendly he stated he had only been there 3 wks so could not answer any questions about the wine or the menu other than to say that the Chicken Vesuvio was ordered frequently.We should have had the pasta!The other thing we did not like was the extra charges i.e.$3.00 extra for the Cesaer Salad & $1.00 extra to have the Chicken Vesuvio boneless.The desserts are nothing very special we should have gone to La Briola Cafe across the area for their delicious desserts."

"My wife had the veal chop, which was very good, but small.
I had the chicken parmesan which hit the spot.
The place was noisy. The music was loud "Frank Sinatra" era music, and a couple at the table next to us was yakking with a cell phone on speakerphone!
Grotto should have a "no cellphone" rule.
We asked the manager to say something about the loud cell-phone talkers, but before she could, the finally got off the phone. The manager offered us free desserts!
My wife got the titanic, enormous carrot cake. It was delicious and we could finish only a part of it.
Because of the niceness of the staff, we'll come back here again."

"I was not very impressed. I ordered veal with risotto (I'm not a fan of veal but I really enjoy risotto). The veal was fatty and the risotto was very salty. I would not eat there again based on my first experience there. Maybe I picked a dish that was not to my liking. Maybe other items on the menu are tasty. Wine list was good and staff was attentive."

"The food was absolutely horrible! It was our first visit to this restaurant and didn't realize it was brunch. We were really looking to order off a menu, but were quite hungry and decided to give it a try. Big mistake...inattentive wait staff, Eggs Benedict could not cut through, prime rib carving station didn't understand a 1" cut and all heated dishes were dried out, not to mention the picked over unappetizing dessert station! This was a special birthday occasion that did not live up to our standards...we will not return."

This is not a place for little children! Our table was quite loud and the rest of the place was quiet...oops.

"We had a reservation for two for Easter Brunch and arrived at 11am. We were directed to a table on the outside with uneven flooring. Unfortunately, I have an ankle problem and wore high shoes and therefore asked to be seated inside. The hostess explained that they could not make that accommodation, therefore, we had to leave. My husband could have served me but I was not in the mood for that and thought it was poor service not to even try to move us inside. I do like Grotto and the patio area is very nice in the summer, so I will return, but definitely disappointed in the service. Had I known about the outside seating, I would have worn a different shoe."

"This is a difficult restaurant to evaluate because of the division between quality of food vs service. Ambience was very good, reception was very good but table service was very sub-par. We did dine in the bar area (very nice) because we wanted to be able to see the ongoing NCAA Elite 8 games. We not only set the reservation through Open Table, but we additionally called twice to stipulate exacty what we wanted.
The bar area was not at all crowded, yet it took several tries to get across what we wanted. When they did not comply, we "moved ourselves". While there was sparse additional diners in the bar area, service was slow. At times, we actually had to "track our server down". At another juncture, the bar tender had to fetch him"

"We brought two friends who had never been to the Grotto before to the Grotto. One guest's 21st birthday had been earlier in the week. The staff in both the bar and dining room couldn't have been more accommodating, and helped us celebrate in real style. "The service was awful. A waiter came around with the peppermill, but it was empty. He never return with a proper one. Could not find our server for 30-40 minutes. When he did come around, he was told about the peppermill, but was very nonchalant about the whole thing. The restaurant was only about 1/3 full, so I wonder how bad the service gets if they are busy. I will never know because I will not go back. Too pricey for what you get!!"

"It was a party of 6 for Brunch no one "served" us and trying to get water was a hassell but when the bill came we were billed for the "mandatory" gratuity of 6 or more which might I add 4 were children that was ridiculous. However the brunch "food" was good but not well stocked."

"Maybe I've become accustomed to finer cuts of beef from more upscale restaurants but the Grotto cowboy cut ribeye steak was rather uninspired. Although I'm sure this cut was graded "prime", it probably barely made that grade. The vesuvio potatoes are bland and boring, and covered in peas. My wife's Chicken Marsala however, was fairly good if not slightly understated in taste.
My problem was, I had a subconscious expectations of a Wagyu or Kobe style ribeye that I've had at other establishments. For a $45 cut of beef, you get $45 quality. I'm not saying it's bad, but it's not the aforementioned steak."

"Whereas I was quite impressed with what I had heard over the past few years regarding this spot, everyone at my table were let down by the food that we enjoyed. The service was excellent &attentive, &the ambiance was quite nice if a bit bland; there was an excellent outdoor patio available where Grotto has a reputation for hosting nice cigar parties &dinners. However, the food, which is the crux of any restaurant &what makes or breaks one of these businesses, was moderately fair. The steak salad was just okay, nothing special about it. My cavatelli with vodka sauce was mediocre; the pasta was quite good but their vodka sauce was thin &tasteless. The roasted chicken was pretty good but quite heavily seasoned."

"We have dined here before. This time the service and some of the food was poor. We waited 30 minutes for our appetizer of grilled calamari, which my husband & I love. It was served cool and tasted terrible that we both spit it out and didn't touch the rest. Our waiter was on it to increase the bill with drinks, but never asked why our calamari was untouched. He had a buss staff member clear it off without asking and charged us for it ! It took them 45 minutes to refill my water. It took 40 minutes just to get our salads. I asked for dressing on the side. It had the most dressing on a a salad that I have even seen. I told the waiter that I asked for it on side. Salmon was ok, but served with warm wilted green salad. Gross."

"I have been to the grotto many times in the past. I always came with girlfriends and sat in the bar. We would have drinks and appetizers. Then my husband and I invited another couple out for dinner we decided to experience grotto and sit in the dining room. Big mistake, the food was over priced for the quality. I had the sea bass and my husband had a jumbo shrimp and pasta dish. My fish came ale cart and covered in over cooked roasted vegetables. If you are looking to spend 120-150 per couple save your money and spend it at Gibsons. The ambiance was fun and energetic. The waitress was unaware and rude. She proceeded to ask if I was finished with my meal, when I had a mouth full of food."

"We thought everything about the restaurant was super. Our only complaint was that my filet which cost $33 did not come with a vegetable. I ordered a side, which was a baked potato. The waitress mentioned that their sides were designed for 2 people, but since my husband was getting Chicken Parmesan he did not want any of the potato. The potato was $5.00 & even though it was huge, it was way more than the average person can finish. Why not have a lower smaller type side for people that do not want to split with anyone."
