"Food was great.
Ambiance was great. Our table was right next to the kitchen though (and en route to the washrooms) so foot traffic was a heavy.
Servers were knowledgable, attentive and polite.
One of our dishes was late in arriving to the table and we had to ask about it, but, once we did the kitchen/server got it out to us ASAP. Crisis averted.
Sommelier seemed pompous, but our waitress acted as liason so the annoyance to me personally was minimal.

Bottom line is the servers were exemplary and the kitchen's food equally so. We have recommended CarneVino to all our friends and fully intend to return on our next trip to Las Vegas."

"Craving steak and my boyfriend suggested Carnevino. I know it's on many "top 10" lists for best steakhouse, so I figure why not finally give it a try?

Though a little on the pricier side, our meal was worth EVERY PENNY. The dry aged bone-in ribeye was to die for -- slightly charred and crisp on the outside, and lusciously tender on the inside. Every bite was absolute heaven. The black truffle vinaigrette (sauce) was the perfect accompaniment.

The best part was dessert. I'm sure the menu is seasonal, but if you have a chance to try the BLUEBERRY THYME CREPES -- get them. Stuffed with lemon ricotta and topped with salted almonds -- what a perfect ending to the perfect meal."

"Excellent beef flavor with the steak, due to the extensive dry aging process (90 vs. 45 days), the rub was a bit salty. Cooking ranges are decidedly to the rare side, VERY decidedly; keep this in mind when ordering. If you are like me and want to cut your own steak, just tell them and they will comply; I am not a European, and find it odd someone wants to cut my steak for me. Loved the concept of the lardo spread."

"Excellent beef, though some cheaper options would be ideal. I shared a porterhouse for 2 which tasted great and was cooked perfectly.

Pasta dishes are probably the best value. The tagliatelle with mushrooms was fantastic. Would have preferred some more options with meat in the pasta.

Wine list was very good. Staff was very accommodating for our group, which started dinner late and did not finish until after 1 am."

"We've eaten here several times and never had less than a fabulous meal. This time we tried the 3-course pre-theater menu and were not disappointed. My husband had the insalata Romana and I had the calamari; we both had the petit filet; I had the panna cotta and he had a selection of three gelati.. Everything was amazing! We enjoyed a drink at the bar prior to dinner and had great service there as well as in the dining room. A great plus on this trip--we saw Mario himself walking through the casino on his way to another of his restaurants nearby."

"I ordered the bone in New York Strip rare plus. Ok, so after the first two were over cooked "well done," the third one was finally cooked rare. However, it did not contain a bone and I had over 8 oz of fat left on the plate after I was finished. The waiter stated that other tables were having the same problem and that there may have been a new cook in the kitchen. I expected more from a Mario Batali restaurant."

"My wife and I dined here on a Monday night. Our server had a great grasp of the menu, he was happy and clearly wanted us to be happy, and there was none of the pretension of most high-end restaurants, as evidenced by his easy inclusion of the sommelier (Michael) into the mix. We hit it off right away and Michael had soon found the pefect (not most expensive) barolo and he suggested a variety of authentic dishes. So, we enjoyed our perfect steak, but the highlights were the "Italian" parts of this Italian steakhouse, such as the beef cheek ravioli (off menu, but usually available and not to be missed) and the ricotta and egg raviolo with brown butter. I also enjoyed Zach's chopped salad (tangy) and the ciabatta served with "lardo" (yep)."

"Let me start by saying that the wait staff is exceptional. The hostesses on the other hand were not all that appealing to me or to my husband. They had no personality and the skirts were so short that when one of them walked, you could see their behind cheeks below the hem. I did complain but I am not sure how far that will go. The food is above and beyond anything I could have ever expected. Michael was our waiter and he knew what he was talking about when it came to what to order. The wine list is so extensive that there are 3 FULL pages while the menu basically consisted of almost 2. Highly recommend this restaurant if you ever go to Vegas. It is located in the Polazzo Casino and hotel."

"My husband & I made an early reservation (6pm) since we were driving in from San Diego so the restaurant was pretty quiet with only a few other couples. We ordered the bone-in rib eye steak for 2 with a side of marscarpone & guanciale mashed potatoes (which comes with a poached egg on top) & the Italian broccoli with garlic - all of which were delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection (my husband likes medium rare & I like medium) - they carved the steak right at our table & took my portion back to finish to my preference. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate peanut butter torte - OMG, if you like decadent desserts, it's a must! Our waiter Goose was very informative & friendly - overall, we were pleased with the food & service."

"My business associate and I had high anticipations for CarneVino; we are both carnivores. The hostess was very nice and the restaurant is nicely appointed. The cocktails (one gin, one vodka martini) were very well balanced and started the meal off well. The appetizers (grilled octopus, steamed clams, and oysters) were wonderful. Fresh, nicely seasoned, and perfect temperature. For our entree we ordered the aged Porterhouse for two ($160). Nicely presented at the table complete with the bone. The meat was tasteless and blandly flavored. As part of the "attitude" of the restaurant, they do not have salt and pepper at the table presumably because the meat is perfectly flavored; not even close. The wine, a Pinot Noir was 3x the retail price."

"The food was good, as to be expected, but to me not distinguishable from other high-end steakhouses. Service was average at best. "We order a none in ribeye for 2. It was $72 per person. The steak was ordered medium. When it arrived at the table it was sliced by the manager and placed on 2 plates. It was rare at best. We sent the steak back. When they returned we found that they had put the slices of steak back on the broiler and finished them to medium. We expressed our displeasure and were told that how we do things here ! We demanded a new steak based on the fact they when you come to a place like this and spend $144 fir a steak you expect the kitchen to be able to execute. We waited an additional 40 minutes for a new steak to ariive. It was cooked perfectly."

"I had come across Carnevino in an article citing the best Steakhouses in America They get drinks and apps started. At this point things start to break down. The service was great, but the service execution was awful. My wife and I sit for 45 minutes between apps and dinner. The sommelier comes by recommending a $300 bottle of wine. And then steak...eee gads. Don't get me wrong, the beef has a dense dry aged flavor, but it's ends there. The steak was over seared, to shoe leather. To highlight the beef flavor, they use no salt/pepper. Top this with some bland sauces and BLECK..boring beef. After tab and tip at $300 I can honestly say that I've made a better steak at home."

"We were very excited to be going to Carnevino. The service was very good and the atmosphere was nice. The pasta course was incredible and the wine list had many good choices. The steak was just ok. We shared a bone in ribeye which I wouldn't do again. It wasn't very tender and wasn't well seasoned. I was disappointed in the steak especially due to the high cost."

"Here's one place where you DON'T get what you pay for. We love steakhouses and tolerate the way that everything is extra. We know that at all but a few places the steak will look lonely on the plate with sauces and sides extra. Here all the sauces and sides were twice the price, but that was fine. The meat was OK but not great.

Completely intolerable was the presentation of the burrata and "heirloom" tomato salad... it was a few cherry tomatoes, a blob of cheese and pesto spilled in the middle. There was NO attempt to plate the dish attractively. At those prices, there should be... and to add to that, neither the pesto nor the tomatoes tasted fresh. The tomatoes looked and tasted like anything we could buy ourselves at a grocery store"

"Perfect Dining Experience. I went to Carnevino for my daughter's 21st birthday. 7 people in total. We were all completely satisfied and wowed by the food. We ate family style, 1 Ribeye and 1 Porterhouse for the table, an entree plate for each person(not meat of course) plus some sides. The mash potato comes with an egg, they way mama used to make it's Awesome. The service was impeccable. I've never been attented to by so many... I hate to use the word waiters in this case... I'll use family members. My water glass was never empty, meaning they really took care of us. The chef wrote "Happy Birthday" on my daughter's cake plate which was a beautiful. I'm sure it made it's way to her FaceBook page. Every Thing Was Excellent!"

"My wife and I had an amazing experience for our 2nd wedding anniversary. We chose the la florentina(porterhouse) for our entre. It was absolutely delicious! Our server, Mike, was very experienced and recomended the perfect pino to complement our steak. The rest of the staff made us feel as we were the only two in the resturant, which was fully sat. "As an avid steak fan I was eager to try Carnevino after everything I've read and heard about the restaurant. The dry aged steaks were unique in flavor and quite tasty. Our server insisted that we order medium rather than medium rare as they tend to under cook their steaks. The steak was cooked to perfection - warm pink center. The rest of the meal was lacking any kind of personality and all portions were small. Their signature salad didn't have any personality or flavor and the recommended pasta dish was flavorless. Desserts were disappointing as well. Tiramisu and strawberry shortcake were as plain and uninspiring as I've ever seen. A real disappointment. Service was also lacking with long lag times in between courses."
