"My arugula salad with salted roasted beets was a bust. Beets watery and out of a jar. My dessert of pineapple strips (too few) and cocoanut mousse was just passable. My husband's paella was overcooked and dry. the total bill was over $200 and though expected, the food was not exceptional enough to warrant the price.

"The Copper Beech is a remarkable place to begin with, but the restaurant gives it a special appeal. The food is amazing and the presentation spectacular. It starts with the friendly service and great bartender, and the dinner was almost too pretty to eat. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening there and hope to return soon."

"We had booked for a Valentine's Day dinner and were not disappointed in the food. However, the service was very slow and erratic. Our waitress was very cheerful, but constantly seemed to have other things to do. We were seated at 7:30 pm and walked out at 10:30, a long time even for a four course dinner."

"Had a reservation and didn't realize it was a prix-fixe menu because of Valentine's Day that was two days before. We were disappointed but decided to stay. We weren't disappointed. Even though there were only three entrees to choose from they were delicious. Would definitely go back to order off their regular menu."

"The service was excellent and the ambiance was very nice, but being valentines day they had a limited menu for some reason and I was not overly impressed with the selection. For the price we paid for our meal I really thought I should be wowed by the food, and I wasn't. It was good, but not great."

"1. I am sad to report that was previously a delightful and solid menu with solid "French Bistro" elements in Pips seems to have degenerated into slightly odd dishes with WAY too much fruit thrown into various dishes. (That trend has been long dead!) The food is still quite nice and well prepared but I was somewhat redfaced bringing my "foodie" friends there for this dinner given the current menu.
Has the chef changed ??

"Pip's is a charming spot inside of an old inn. The chef presented us with great food and good wine and drinks. The French onion soup won great praise and the striped bass and chicken goulash entrees were excellent. The whole experience was very comfortable and our party of 4 will go back soon."
