"My father-in-law, wife and I came for Restaurant week and it was amazing. The food was top notch. Probably the best thing though was the staff: from bus person to manager to sommelier, they were all on point. Everyone was helpful, knowledgeable and made the experience wonderful. It was a great time with great food. We'll be back."

Review 2 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"When our group arrived the hostess did not properly greet our party and inform us that our table was still being prepared. As our group unknowngly proceeded to the bar area and dining room we were intercepted by the manager/sommelier who strongly scolded us for not waiting in the front of the restaurant. He was perceived to be rude by our international guests which didn't start the evening off well.
The restaurant ran out of ribeyes which I had personally recommended to the group. One in our party ordered the steak rare, and it arrived medium-well done. When he returned it, there was no replacement steak, so he was forced to order another steak that was not of his liking and delayed his meal. The wine pours were too big."

"Very pricey, but if you want to splurge this is a great place to go. It was my husband's birthday and they treated him to a free desert and a birthday card. I probably wouldn't return since it was very expensive, but glad we gave it a try."

Review 4 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"In the end, the steaks were just ok. This is a very expensive restaurant and they spend a great deal of time telling you how great the food, service and wine is. We were pushed into a US$28 glass of wine when all we wanted was one for US$14. They asked many, many, many times to refill our wine glass and when we finally relented, the wine did not come until after the main course was already completed. Weird. But the most important element is the quality of and tastiness of the food. We ordered a very expensive steak and a porterhouse. They were just ok. The butter seared steak actually had no unique taste to it. It was a good piece of meat that anyone could have cooked. A highly over-rated steakhouse."

Review 9 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"The appetizer of three different French Fries with three different sauces was a wonderful start. Our steaks were delicious, cooked exactly as we asked for them. The strawberry dessert was outstanding. When we travel to Scottsdale again, we will have Bourbon Steak on our list of restaurants not to miss."

Review 13 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"This Michael Min Restaurant has some great things going for it- super stylish yet comfortable ambience, A list chef, good food and stellar wine list. The floor service however is terrible. Stood at host desk for what felt like an eternity before the hostess got off the phone to assist. Bar was lovely, somelier was wonderful and assisted with selecting and serving a nice champagne. Now comes the bad part, Oysters took over 30 minutes and arrived only after we got up and asked. Our dinner order was met with condescension and rudeness, the meal took over 45 to arrive, we were never checked on during that time and food arrived only after I complained to the manager. Things snapped into shape then, but thats too late for an $800.00 meal for 5."

"I ate there twice at a recent stay while attending a conference at the Fairmont -- although it is pricey -- the food, service and unexpected treats like the fries 3 ways and caramel popcorn at the end of the night were great touches that impressed the clients I was entertaining."

Review 16 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"Small servings and high prices aren't the only thing that drag this restaurant down. I was genuinely dissapointed after my meal here, not only let down by the lack of food that I received, but also the quality. I ordered the 8 oz. filet, medium, and a side of hashbrowns. The steak was tiny, maybe 6 oz. at best and was served on a white plate with absolutely nothing else. Rather than a warm pink center, the steak was gray, cooked completely through and dry. The flavor was there in the hashbrowns, but not a side you can share like most good steakhouses. Do yourself a favor and go to Mastro's, or even Morton's for that matter. Bourbon Steak is just not worth the money."

Review 17 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"My wife and I ate at Bourbon Steak twice while staying at the Fairmont. They have an excellent menu with a variety of choices. Great Martini's and wine selection. We had oysters as an appetizer and Tuna tartar; The Wagyu flat iron steak was really flavorful and tender and the filet melted in your mouth. both delicious. We added foie gras and that was a nice treat.
Thanks; we'll dine again."

Review 18 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"Although the food was excellent, my steak was perfect, the food is over-priced...really overpriced! Again, excellent food, good drinks, nice service, but I could not recommend this place as it is simply overpriced in comparison to other restaurants of the same caliber and apparently there's no dress code. Patrons were dressed from swim suit and t-shirts to business casual. I understand this restuarant is at a resort but considering the price, a minimum dress code should be required."

"as a great fan of Michael's, I was extremely impressed by the whole dining experience, but in particular, the wonderful food and exceptional wine list (at reasonable prices, I might add). Terrific experience, thanks to the entire staff."

Review 22 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"Worst service we ever got. Been there before but this time was awful. We're there for husbands birthday and almost walked out several times, which we should ave. would have had better service at Outback Steakhouse! The server Christina didnt greet our table for 15 min, still didnt get our first drink for 30 min, which includes water. To order our dinner dragged out to around 45 min. At no point did we get an apology. We got a dessert for my husbands bday, which they do not comp, but maybe it should have been as a courtesy for our poor experience. We use to like going, but at this point this experience ruined us, had us very upset on a dinner that was suppose to be a good experience and we will never be back."

Review 23 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"The food was very good, with one minor exception. The caesar salad had a very odd taste to it, almost like the romaine was old. The server explained that they use a bitter olive oil, and that the lettuce was fresh, but it still didn't taste right. The steaks were exceptional, tender and really well seasoned. Our medium well filet was medium at best - closer to medium rare. The flat iron steak was flawless.
Service was terrible. We did order appetizers, entrees and dessert - admittedly - but the whole dinner service took nearly three hours. We were only able to order two drink with dinner because they took nearly 30 minutes to arrive.
Good food, but none of the other aspects warrant a recommendation, especially at these prices."

Review 24 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"This is a pricey, but nearly flawless restaurant. The food is cooked to perfection and nothing is left to chance. The complimentary duck fat fries and Kobe steaks are mouthwatering. The waiters check to make sure for every dish that the food is up to standard. This brings me to the service. The waiters are extremely attentive. They're by your side to refill your glass before you even out it down. This might be a bit overbearing for some people, but the logic here seems to be "better a little overbearing than have a diner be wanting if only for a minute". Perfect place to impress a date, but be prepared to pay quite a hefty sum."

Review 26 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"It was Valentine's day, and we had the tasting menu. The food was outstanding, and was the heartiest tasting menu we've ever had. The bisque was wonderful, the striped bass was delicious, and then they bring out a 16 oz. cowboy ribeye! The beef was tender, flavorful, and way too much. Ended with a delicious dessert. For $85 per person, it was a bargain in this class of restaurant."

"What a special dining experience!! The food and wine were spectacular and the service outstanding. We ate here for our Valentine's / Anniversary dinner and couldn't be happier. My husband could cut his beef tenderloin filet with a fork and my red snapper was delish. We've already recommended the Bourbon Steak to all our friends."

Review 28 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"Love the Fairmont Princess in Scottsdale. Decided to Try Bourbon Steak for a special occasion and was disappointed. The staff seemed irritated that only one of us wanted the pre-fixed menu and from there it was a little tense. The overall value falls far behind the competition in town. Our moderate meal came in at nearly twice what we'd spend at comparable restaurants in the area."

Review 30 for Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
"I have been around the world and enjoyed many fine food establishments. Sadly, most of them do not have food on the menu that can appeal to those with a distinguished palate and those who enjoy a more simplistic pure home style flavor. Bourbon Steak does both...well. The service bordered on that of my Regents of Seven Seas and Crystal Cruises dining experiences. We felt the food price, was more reasonable than most places considering the quality, service and ambiance. Our bill was 258 for two, with 25% tip and we had The Trio of Duck Fat Fries, compliments of the chef, steamed and chilled half maine lobster with the most amazing goddess sauce, ahi tuna tartare, (do not skip it, trust me!) filet mignon for me and the 32 ounce porterhouse f"
