"My boyfriend and I had the crab cakes, shrimp and chorizo pizza, chicken quesadilla, a side of the their truffled mac and cheese and the fried banana split for dessert. Every single dish was impeccable. My boyfriend's favorite was the crab cakes and mine was the quesadilla (not too cheesy). The chef even served us this incredible bread upon our arrival and they wrote "Happy Birthday" in chocolate all around the dessert plate with a candle lit for me :) A great experience I would recommend to anyone looking to celebrate a special night out~"

"My fellow foodie and I have been wanting to try Beso for a long time and finally we had the opportunity the other night. The restaurant is gorgeous and despite reviews to the contrary the service was great. The food, though good, was not mind blowing. Nor was it worth its hefty price tag. I've had culinary experiences far superior for less. By the end of the evening it felt like we paid for the beautiful setting and not the food. I am not saying the dishes were bad - in fact, the flatbread was one of the best I have ever had - it just left us wondering, "What exactly did we pay for?" I would return to Beso for a drink - the lychee martini is spectacular - but not to have dine."

"We arrived and the host greeted us took us to our table. The place was pretty empty I've seen it when it's busy. So I expected prompt service. Nope, we has no menus no water and people let walking by and looking at us but saying nothing. They were the bus boys or something else. Eventually the waitress came to pure table and we told her we had to be somewhere else at a certain time. She said it would be possible and we placed our order. Our dishes came out pretty quickly and we made it out on time for our class."

"It was our 25th wedding anniversary, and the place is very romantic, with dim lights, and is just beautiful inside. They actually read my "note" when I made our reservation online, and gave us a booth, away from a service station. The prices are costly, but for a special occassion, why not? We also had a voucher, $30 for $60 worth of food, which was a bonus. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive, as were the busboys, which was amazing to me. I certainly want to return."

"Guacamole was good but the chips were like out of a bag! Liked the soup, Paella was not good! Steak was decent. Overall, over priced. The room is so dark you can't see anything including the menu. Don't think I will go back.

"The ambiance was great and the decor is a must see! It was really dark inside but gave it a very romantic vibe and great luscious leather chairs for seating. Out waiter was very inattentive and rude. The other waiters had to attend us but were better and more attentive. Food was okay for the price. My scallops were great tasting the paella was okay and the shrimp linguini was okay. Oh and a warning would be it smells like seafood when you first walk in. "we had 4 people in our party. Eva's guacamole was bland as well as the food another friend had. I enjoyed the salmon and shrimp flat bread. the churros were definitely NOT worth 11 bucks and a little mealy inside vs. fluffy. Service was poor for the cost of the food and the feel of the restaurant. For example, we did not know who our waiter was until later and even then, he did not even tell us his name. We had to engage him to find out recommendations and a further description of the food. Looking around, none of the staff (aside from the front and the bar) seemed to enjoy their jobs (no laughter, smiles, etc). Sorry, had high hopes for our girls night out, but will not return."

"While the food was decent it wasn't memorable. We walked away feeling as if the music was more enjoyable than the entree's. The prices are expensive. To drive this far for this type of menu was disappointing. Not a ton to choose from. Great drink selection though, which would be nice if you are just going to have one at the bar. "This was my husband and my first time at Beso as I had purchased a coupon from Travel Zoo for basically $100 worth of food for $50. The ambiance and was wonderful as the restaurant is dark with lovely chandeliers and wax candles lit everywhere -- on the walls and on the tables. This I loved. There was nice music in the background which added to the feel. The hostess who greeted us at the front was very nice. However, the service was just "meh" as our server really didn't attempt to engage us in anyway. There were four of us but we they only brought 2 steaks out first and then 5 minutes later the chicken. Same story on the apps and the dessert. "Very dissapointed with the experience. I order a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and it was warm. My wife wouldn't drink it and the waiter said he would put it in the ice bucket and by the end of our meal it was still warm. I was shocked at a place like this they wouldn't swap out the bottle for a cold on...since it wasn't a red. I was also charge 58.00 for it when the menu said 43.00. I noticed when I got home."

"We had a Travelzoo voucher which was excellent value. The restaurant is very dark indeed. In fact, if there had been steps I probably would have tripped. It was difficult to read the menu but our waiter had a small flashlight which helped. The place is surprisingly large and although only a few tables were taken when we arrived at 7:00 PM it filled up and was actually still quiet enough for conversation. "Beautiful restaurant. Food was good albeit very small portions. The service was terrible. Perhaps it was just our server but he could care less about anything. He was very flippant about everything and barely even looked at us or came over to see if everything was okay. There was a screaming baby in the booth next to ours and we brought it to our servers attention...he could care less. My entree was the size of an appetizer. I would go back for the ambiance minus the crying baby and ask for a different server."

"service from the moment you walk in and they know you have a voucher of some sort just starts the experience off very poorly. the girl who seated us had a serious attitude problem and has managed to still leave a bitter taste in my mouth. the food was "ok" - nothing special. we ordered the chili rubbed skirt steak and actually sent it back because the meat was of such poor quality. our waiter was very very polite and accommodating, we replaced our order with a porterhouse steak, which was better but still, nothing steakhouse worthy. suffice to say, we will not be going back."

"An excellent upscale restaurant with a very diverse menu. The food is very fresh and very flavorful focusing on Latin infused cuisine. The scallops are notable for their taste and the Lamb is cooked to perfection. A tomato based Chicken soup is a staple and the guacamole dip is very good. The ambiance is overwhelmingly warm and energetic. Very young, hip crowd. The service is average but it is Hollywood, so don't expect a warm reception. Overall, good food, great ambiance and acceptable service."

"This was very poor. I don't understand why we made a reservation because they did not honor the time slot we had been scheduled for. They finally sat us at a table 40 minutes later and thats only because we asked several times.
The resaurant had run out of several entrees, thought maybe that was a good sign maybe the food was at least good. WRONG it was the worst I have ever had, a boiled bland piece of chicken in the paella, I thought a seafood paella did not have chicken??? What do I know??

"It was good. It was my 3rd time back. Had a groupon and that made a good deal. I would tell everyone to get a groupon before going. without this coupon for a group on 4 was $290. Groupon gave me $120 saving. As far as the restaurant, it is amazing. Now the drinks and food can be expensive. we ordered the flatbread with shrimp and Chorizo, but there were no shrimp on it, so they should just called it chorizo flatbread, it was good especilly for a group of 4. As far as the waiter, he kept forgetting things, so we had to remiond him about 2 to 3 times... I didn't like that at all. Crab cakes is to die for... I would recommend .. overall it is a good place to go, but make sure to have a groupon... it helps with the bill at the end."
