"The food was overall pretty tasty. I ordered the ocean scallops and it was cooked perfect. However, I didn't care for the sauces used for seafood. The spicy mustard was just okay. I enjoyed other Kobe Steakhouses. All other Teppan restaurants using the the "yum yum" sauce for seafood. I'm curious why this Kobe in Seal Beach doesn't use it. I was looking forward to that.
Hostess and staff was friendly and served water as needed. Although I didn't think the chefs were was friendly. Their tricks of cooking were awesome. Interacting with guests was not. I had visited the Kobe Steakhouse in Orlando, Florida and I had a excellent guest service experience there."

"Our table wasn't ready when we arrived but the staff was very accommodating and seated us in a booth with drinks and an appetizer. We decided to stay at that table after realizing our reservation was booked for teppan dining which I actually did not reserve and had even asked for a quiet table in my notes upon making my reservation.
All that aside, the staff was very friendly and very helpful. This was my first time to Kobe and I would highly recommend it to my friends and family.
One thing I would mention is that the hostesses smile more. They looked very serious and a little unfriendly. I have to admit that as a first impression i was a little worried about how the evening would turn out."
