"This authentic experience compared favorably with a recent Brazilian steak restaurant we enjoyed in Panama. From the traditional parade of meats to lamb chops a la carte to a melt-in-your mouth halibut and a phalanx of veggie delights, capped by attentive service and a young, but worthy Malbec we know this first time will not be our last time."

"The bar was noisy when we arrived, but seated downstairs for dinner was very quiet, conducive to conversation at one's table. All the amazing tastes of different dishes on the buffet plus all the wonderful meats circulated by the servers made for a bountiful meal. We had no room for dessert. The server helped us find an Argentinian wine that was a perfect complement to the food. We will definitely go back to Pampas."

"I took my girlfriend to Pampas, for her birthday, and it was phenomenal! We both ordered the Rodizio. The salad bar was exquisite and much more than just a salad bar! The meats were cooked to perfection, from the lamb chops and tri tips to the chorizo and spicy chicken. It wa truly a magnificent meal and well worth every penny. The server was polite and attentive through out the entire dinner. I have, and will, recommend Pampas to everyone I know!"

"If you really like meat, make sure you ask for more frequent meat service at the beginning of the meal and they'll accommodate you, otherwise you may not get enough meat thought the night. Service is otherwise very good. The only meat that wasn't very good was the flank steak, they always overcook those."

"This was my second time visiting Pampas in Palo Alto. We were a party of 4 and despite being in proximity to a big birthday party, it was still fairly intimate and the food was as outstanding as I remember it being about 2 years ago. It's a very clean restaurant and was easy to make special requests food-wise.
My only issue was the sidebar which I feel shouldn't have started at both ends. It lead to a lot of line cutting and people generally colliding. It wasn't a huge issue if that's the only constructive feedback I could provide.
Overall, a great dining experience and would recommend it to larger groups."

"After reading all the reviews on various websites, we decided to try Pampas on one member's birthday. As stated in previous posts, it is a bit on the pricey side. No matter what you do, if Rodizio is ordered, it will be a minimum of $60 per person, with desert $70, and with drinks, well the sky is the limit.
We found the proteins well prepared and unusually tasty. I know that others have had issues at times, but we found all very satisfying. Maybe it was the time that we dined. We were there when it opened. The servers with the skewers passed the table often and were very polite.
The other wait staff was quick to refill water glasses and remove plates. The actual server was by often to inquire about our needs or requestes."

"We arrived for our reservation, identified ourselves and told them we were about 25 minutes early. We were seated and then what was very slow service and ignoring requests we made for sweetener for our ice teas. I asked at least 4 times and never got it. We were left at least 20 minutes without service, we then ordered tea which was served. We then asked to look at the salad bar and while we were gone our table was cleared even though we left our items there. I would say the staff isn't trained well. Food was okay."

"We enjoyed a delicious meal here on Valentines Day. It was very romantic with candles and white table clothes. They presented each lady with a beautiful long stemmed rose.
My husband enjoyed their famous meat and salad bar dinner. Waiter after waiter would bring over delicious meats on a spear. They brought enough food to bring any meat lover to their knees. He also enjoyed the enormous salad bar with a huge variety of dishes.
I ordered the ceviche and had a stuffed acorn squash that was unbelievable. The only thing I found a little lacking was the latte I ordered at the end. I'll just have to go to a coffee house for that next time, because everything else was great."

"Pampas was great! I came in with high expectations, and they were mostly met. The service was outstanding. Staff were all attentive and friendly. Ambiance was quiet and had a modern yet comfortable feel to it. The grill selection was wonderful, and all members of our party found something that they greatly enjoyed. "Wanted to try this for some time and finally did. Started off great with a parking space right in front. Had reservations and was seated promptly. Side Bar/Buffet was great. Not your usual salads. very flavorful and unusual. Could have made a meal on that alone but who can resist the meat carved tableside. Lamb, Beef, Pork, Chicken and Turkey....all flavorful and cooked well done to medium rare so you could have it any way you like it. Will be back..."

"This might have been a better review if the service weren't so horrible. We sat for 20 minutes before someone came to our table to take a drink order (and only after we said something to the host). We then waited another 15 minutes for drinks to come. After that, the service improved.
That being said, there are better places to go for Brazilian barbecue where the food is just as good."
