Not your average tex-mex - don't come here looking for tacos and enchiladas! Everything is fresh and well made. Margaritas are suitably strong. Only downer was the chocolate mousse cake was not fully thawed - why was it frozen in the first place?"

"I took my wife there for her birthday dinner and we were very happy. The food is great. We each got the Molcajete and both the chicken and beef versions were superb. We also had a guacamole appetizer that was outstanding as well. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and expertly prepared. My wife had some sort of fruity drink, which she loved and I was pleasantly surprised to find a selection from a small PA craft brewery (Old Forge) on tap.
Our waiter, Juan was personable and attentive and was never too busy to spend a minute or two answering one of our questions. People say it's dark. The back room certainly is! For us it was cool. There are a number of rooms and the bar area has huge windows that let in the natural light."

"I went with a friend for pre-show dinner and warned the waiter that we would need to leave at a specific time. He was very prompt with our orders and was attentive. We had a relaxed dinner and made it out in time for our show. Regarding the food - my friend's entree was very good, but mine was only okay. Nonetheless, given the good service and that at least one of us had an excellent meal, I'm willing to try it again."

"The magic seems a little gone. The menu is cut way down and the servers seem like they'd rather be somewhere else. It's still a gorgeous setting and the food is good, the drinks too - but it isn't what it was ten years, fifteen years back."

"Not "Tex-Mex", not your average Mexican restaurant..This place features great menu items not necessarily found in most Mexican restaurants. Food is delicious, service is friendly and upbeat. From one who usually does not like Mexican food, I found this restaurant to be a game changer for me!!"

"Food was good. service was good. Atmosphere was more like a steak house than Mexican - it was dimly lit, and the walls were adorned with lots of dark wood. I didn't get the vibrant, upbeat feel you expect from a mexican restaurant. But no complaints about the food - it was very good. Although maybe a little overpriced for Mexican..."

"I love Tequila's. I have never had a bad experience there and go as often as I can since I live in the suburbs. The restaurant is fabulous but I always recommend sitting at the bar for a more fun experience and a tequila tour."

"What a wonderful night! Our party of 8 (which included 2 teenagers) selected items from the full range of the menu and we enjoyed every dish! Everyone enjoyed the ceviche and the special mini-taco appetizers! The entrée portions were more than generous and we all devoured our dished. Desserts were also very delicious; my favorite was the tres leches cake! Our waiter made the perfect suggestion of the jalapeño-infused margarita! Delicious and hit the spot, with an appropriate flair!"

"This was a nice find in a spontaneous search for margaritas. And while the margarita pitcher we ordered didn't deliver the bang for the buck we hoped for, the food and service more than compensated. The Cerdo Con Crepa is a hearty pork tenderloin dish with a fantastic presentation. The Molcajetes is a beef tenderloin served in a lava rock bowl that remains hot throughout the evening. Both dishes are generously proportioned and flavorfully spicy. Our server that night, Manuel, is as personable as he is informative; always there when needed, but never hovering. The restaurant makes efficient use of its space. Though it seems tight in layout, the candlelight and decor give it an ambiance that feels both intimate and conversational."

"I was really excited about going here, but was so disappointed by the time I left. We were in/out in just over 1 hour, which for a Saturday night dinner is far too fast. Our meals came very quickly after the appetizers, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the app, and also made for an incredibly congested table since we were already at a small table. The waitress was great, but the music/noise was so loud that it was very hard to hear her, so I only caught about 60% of the specials menu when she gave it to us. The tables are on top of each other, so it was impossible to have a private conversation. The other annoying part was that employee's were constantly running back and forth to deliver items, set up table, made it very hectic!"

"I had high hopes for the evening, too bad our seating at the restaurant squashed that notion right away. Although I had reservations, we were seated in the bar...by the entrance...with people standing on top of us,maintenance walking through with a ladder, and the noise level was so high, we could barely hear ourselves talk. The maitre d', and the hostess staff looked like they had never seen a computer screen before. They were clueless and lost, just starring at the computer screen instead of helping the line of people wating to be seated. The food was good, but not good enough to deal with that mess again."

"Arrived with a reservation for 9:30, and wasn't seated until just after 10. Specials were incredible and the menu had a lot of variety. Noise level was a little high, but we were seated directly next to the bar so that is certainly related. The rooms were lit well enough to read the menu but were not overpoweringly bright, and the decor was impressive"

"My boyfriend and I had dinner at Tequilas on a Saturday night -- It was awesome! I had the fish stuffed with guacamole in a mango sauce. I think it was one of the best dishes I've ever had! My boyfriend's fish dish was delicious as well. The margaritas were fantastic and our server was very friendly. I definitely recommend the Roses Margarita!"

"I had not been to Tequilas for eight years.... Shame on me.....I met up with my date who said she loved Mexican food..... So I thought Mexican food does not get any better than what I remembered at Tequilas......She and I were not disappointed.......We were seated in a far away corner which was quiet and very romantic !! Thanks for a very nice dining experience....."
