"It was my husband & I 33rd anniversary so we had great time. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The seating was very comfortable outside the bar & lounge area. Our waiter was very personable & helpful in suggesting steak choices. I'm looking forward to coming back to try other things on the menu."

"After reading reviews online we opted for Eddies over SW at Easton. Big mistake. 2 of the side were inedible and one of the steaks also. After the pitch about using the top 2% of prime beef , we wondered how it could be so hard to chew.Our waiter was excellent and I took pictures , it was a beautiful room. Our Akron friends at Firestone are waiting for our review. We hate to deliver such bad news."

"As always we had an excellent experience at Eddie's this past weekend for my birthday. Our regular server wasn't available, but Jaime took great care of us. The new manager Matt remembered that I was expecting and inquired as to how the baby and I were doing. I was a little surprised he remembered since we hadn't been in since the announcement in April. A minor mistake with my steak was corrected immediately by the General Manager Vittorio. I had ordered it Oscar style and they'd forgotten. I said "I'm sorry, but I believe I ordered this Oscar style" He responded "Do not apologize! You are family here. I'll Oscar this right up for you and be right back." My steak was wonderful The lobster bisque was excellent as was the calamari."

"The waiter started out very well. We were a table of two, another table of six business people arrived, we were pretty much ignored. Almost spilled dinner on wife reaching across table in a hurry to get to other table as quickly as he could. My food was good filet and shrimp. Wife's not so good, I tasted it too - it was over seasoned and salty. Try's to be first class, but lacks real class and the food is good, not great."

"My girlfriend and I ordered the calimari appetizer, which was very good and served with 3 sauces. We also split a lobster bisque, which also was very good. I ordered a filet with scallops on the side, my girffriend ordered just the filet. To accompany, we ordered lobster mac and cheese and asparagus. The sides were perfect - the mac and cheese was probably the best I've ever had! However, the filets were a bit dissapointing - both were charred too much, whereas the flavor of the meat was masked by the char. Our steaks were both ordered medium rare, and hers was even more charred than mine, and actually less done then mine.. We probably should have sent them back. We will probably go back, but I will request a non-charred steak!"

"We had dinner at Eddie Merlot's for our tenth wedding anniversary. Everyone -- from the hostess to the waiter to the manager -- wished us a happy anniversary. We were seated immediately (even thought we were 15 minutes early), and our waiter was wonderful. He was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. As always, the food was outstanding. We couldn't have asked for a better dining experience."

"We had an incredible meal at Eddie's. We shared the calamari and escargot appetizers. The calamari had a tempura batter that was very crunchy it was drained well and served with a trio of sauces (wasabi mayo, spicy mustard and a soy based sauce). The escargot was bourguignon style with a small piece of puff pastry on top- the best I've had outside of France. My husband had two glasses of pinot noir and the prime ribeye bourbon marinated with a baked potato. I had the filet medium topped with truffle butter and truffle fries. My steak was absolute perfection and hands down the best I've had. The outside was seared to perfection with a slight wood-fired taste on the outside but the inside was the consistency of butter. Coffees were great!"

"We've been to this location before and the service and food was outstanding. This time around though it seemed our waiter was preoccupied with something else. The table was cleared and the next course brought long after it should have been. Simple things like bread were forgotten until asked, and then it still came after the main entree was three quarters complete. Our steaks, usually outstanding, although good, weren't great and lacked distinction in their types. My wifes smaller steak seemed the same size as mine, even though my steak should have been 8oz more."

"Another outstanding meal at Eddie Merlot's at Polaris. The service was top notch and food was outstanding. I would highly recommend the Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye. The 28 oz. steak is full of flavor. The steak was cut tableside for my husband and I to share. The warm bacon dressing was a favorite on the wedge salad and I really enjoyed the Romaine "Waldorf " . You also can not go wrong with the Sweet and Spicy Rock Shrimp appetizer. The Creamed Corn was yummy and the red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing was a nice birthday surprise. The menu has something for everyone. We have always had excellent service and a wonderful dining experience at Eddie Merlot's."

"My wife and I have dined at this location many times and this visit was shockingly disappointing. Both my wife's filet as well as mine were overcooked. Our waiter was more than helpful in resolving however, when her newly prepared filet arrived after a lengthy wait, it was still overcooked. Again, our waiter handled this to perfection however, a bit from the expected with an establishment of this caliber."

"This restaurant combines excellent food like their aged steaks along with great service. The wait staff prepare dishes like steak diane or bananas foster at the table but all the food is excellent. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. He was helpful with selection of food and was knowledgeable about the menu options. This restaurant is higher priced than many but worth it. I did notice that they also have a couple rooms with for private parties so it would be great for a special occasion. They had some new menu items and the New Orleans Mixed Grill was very good."

"Our waitress was excellent. My husband's fillet was a disaster. Way overcooked. Even our server suggested a redo before he even said anything. Other dishes, sides and desserts, were good to very good but one side was very poor. The inconsistency from a restaurant of this price range was not OK. The redo on the fillet arrived well after everyone else was done eating. All in our party of five were disappointed."

"I took my 13 year old son there for some male bonding time and he loved the steak! we dont eat a lot of red meat as a family but when we do we do steak. the only thing was the amount of salt they rub in. a slight bit too much that left us very thirsty. the Truffle fries were excellent. I thought I would like the Eddies Potatoes more then I did. the creme brulee is as good as in Paris."

"Eddie's has become our regular place for special occasion dining. The service is top notch as is the food. The manager recognizes everyone and remembers their name. Food, what is there to say? The food here is always on the A+ list. I can't think of a place I would rather go for that special meal."

"This was our second time to Eddie Merlot's. The wine list is extensive and varied, not extremely expensive compared to the food. While the steaks are very good, the rest of the food was not really great compared to the cost. We had Shrimp Coctail, which was ok. Tempura Green Beans, which were fabulous and Mac and Cheese with Lobster, which had minuscule pieces of Lobster and came out late. Even the Carrot Cake was lacking.
Service was ok, but seemed off. Things were late coming into the meal, but then seemed rushed at the end.
I think it may be time for us to find another resteraunt for special occasions. I have no problem spending over 200 for a meal, but this is not the place."

"My meal was excellent. However, 2 of my fellow diners ordered the meatloaf. Ugh! Truly bad. The texture was that of dog food. The waitress, Monica, immediately offered to replace them. They ordered the porkchops. Excellent! Cooked absolutely perfect."

"We love Eddie Merlot's. This visit had it's problems, but their management is ALWAYS classy. This is the first time we have been seated in the side area closer to the bar. The chairs are comfortable for a bar setting but maybe I'm just too short for them to dine from. They lost our order and the waiter was no where to be found for long periods of time. We waited a really long time and finally had to go find a manager. He brought the food out and admitted they just lost the order, no excuses, and gave us dinner on the house. Food as always was exceptional and almost worth the wait. Management is the best - they are outgoing and engaging. Every restaurant has a miss now and then. How it's handled makes all the difference! Thanks!!"

"The food was great. The server was very friendly. However, the service was very slow. Perhaps the kitchen was overwhelmed, but it was too slow for the quality/reputation of Eddie Merlot's. FYI, we sat down at 6:45PM, ordered by 7:15PM, received the meal at 8:30PM."

"visited on 4/19/13 for dinner. made reservations prior on open table. seated immediately upon arrival in a corner booth that overlooked the entire dining room, great location. server was excellent through out meal, paced meal perfectly. We ordered the seafood sampler appetizer and it was fabulous! Sampling of lobster tail, oysters, tuna and shrimp on a bed of dry ice with multiple sauces. Great presentation! Delicious. Server was very helpful pertaining to salad selection, we split one salad which was brought in individual bowls. Followed that with the Steak Diane, flamed at tableside. Delicious. Only minor complaint: as I ate my filets I discovered they had been cooked more toward rare instead of the ordered medium rare."

"Everything was really good. The round table with the low chairs were not as comfortable as they could've been. I know 2 other couples sat down and were reseated while we were there. "Our medium rare steaks came out well done. Even when replaced, the next set of steaks were medium well--we were hungry and late for our evening commitment by then. Our french fries were cold when the steaks arrived--although they brought fresh mushrooms with the steaks. The waiter did his best to make up for the poor food, but the kitchen was clearly having problems. Our bill was slightly adjusted, but there are too many good steak houses in town to settle for subpar food."

"While the food was once again wonderful, our server, Ana, was not. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the sides were delicious and plentiful. Even the after dinner coffee was great. My husband's espresso was lukewarm, so he had to ask for another one. Ana, our server, was no where to be found once we were seated and seemed distracted and forgetful throughout the meal. She did help my faux pas when I knocked over a glass of ice water all over the table, my husband, and the floor, so I will give her credit for that. We will definitely dine there again, but I think I'll ask for Eric the next time."
