"great place for special occasion. we went on Mother's Day. Although fully booked, did not seem crowded at all with little to no bunching up around the buffet. Being Mother's Day, prices were raised so at $75 a pop it was overpriced. Will go again but on a non-holiday occasion."

"The patio seating was absolutely excellent, and sunset beautiful. The only downfall with the food was the menu, not the actual preparation. The short ribs were actually more likely short rib ravioli, and two of our party did not like, or expect, that. The salmon and seared ahi were excellent. The menu seemed to be "overly fancy" and was missing an entree without meat. Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable experience for a party of 5 for a 50th anniversary."

"To celebrate a special day, one would be hard pressed to find a more satisfying dining experience than what awaits the dining party at Geordie's. Everything was just perfect. The staff was attentive but not overly so, the ambiance outstanding, and the food was a pleasure that we all enjoyed. It was a very memorable evening."

"Go during the week, sit outside, and watch the glorious western skies sunset while sipping from a good selelction of wines. The food, service, beautful quiet front patio dining all rank as superb. With wine, dessert, coffee, the check can easily climb above $100 per person, but for an infrequent joy, it can't be beat!"

"Overeall great experience. The service was great and we were initially worried our night out was moving two quickly, however the servers kept to our pace and the night was relaxing and we were able to enjoy the great view and atmosphere from the balcony."

"Food was tasty, but the food that needed to be hot/warm was cold. Cold eggs, bacon sausage etc. Seafood was good, however oysters were not very fresh."

"I am a frequent visitor to the Wrigley Mansion for their Sunday Brunch. The Staff is excellent and quick to tend to your needs. I loved their Salmon dishes, prime rib, fresh fruits and vegetables and variety of deserts. The stroll my party and I took through the mansion is always a special treat."

"Over the last five years I've had Sunday Brunch at the Wrigley Mansion 8 times, the last time being 2011. Every time I went it was wonderful: service, food, staff, selection, and overall experience were excellent. My mother and I went today and it has changed considerably. The food, selection, and overall presentation were mediocre at best(service was average). The menu has been significantly altered, with a noticeable decrease in food quality. We were disappointed and sad to see the exquisite Wrigley brunch we remember replaced by Applebee's-quality buffet. Even with the sparkling wine (no more champagne), I would pay no more than $15 for this buffet. Sadly, we will not return."

"Overall, I feel it was good to very good..... but a bit overpriced. You are paying extra for the ambiance and view. Parking is a challenge.... use the valet service otherwise be prepared for quite a (up hill) walk."

"Everything was great until the food came--my sister got a fig and chicken crepe which was about the size of the palm of your hand. It came with salty and greasy fries. I got a club sandwich which would have been better at any other place (such as Denny's). The atmosphere was gorgeous, the view was outstanding and the service was great! But the food servings were small and were not tasty in the least. We also ordered a raspberry tiramisu dessert which tasted like raspberry jello. Disappointing food wise but great atmosphere. Unfortunately as my Dad used to say "You can't eat atmosphere.""

"I was puzzled when I received a dried out lime which appeared to be cut a day or 2 earlier (brown edges) in my cosmo, which was very tasty. Limes are cheap and should be cut before each shift. I expected more but we did have a "chicken deal" so maybe that's why the 3 course meal was chosen the way it was. The food was ok, but the service was very good and she was knowledgeable about the food which was explained in a tasty way as well as the wine and the mansion.
It had been many years since I had been there and since my friend signed up for the wine membership, we will be back! ;-)"

"Really beautiful location - stunning views. Service was a bit overbearing, and food is mostly mediocre (omelette was dark brown on both sides, sooo over cooked). It was nice once, wouldn't go back given the very high price tag."

"The buffet brunch was a total disappointment. The selections were mundane, the execution was fair, and about the only positive was the spectacular view. For what was offered the brunch was overpriced. Definitely not on my brunch list."

"We combined lunch with a tour of the mansion and got a better deal. The food and service were outstanding. One of our guests said the pesto sauce that was served with the salmon was the best ever. We were celebrating my brother's birthday and my folks anniversary. Geordie's made it a memorable occasion! My mom's still raving about the blackberry bomb dessert (but you had better like chocolate a lot!). Oh...and, this was a particularly great and quiet lunch place for my folks who are both hard of hearing."

"Beautiful and scenic location. Classy interior. Salmon was extremely salty and only puréed vegetables were served. Pecan crusted pork was only 1/2 cooked and tough to cut with a butter knife. We were so disappointed with the food that we did not even order coffee or dessert. High prices for the quality of food that was served. I love French food, but this was American food trying to be French, at least in presentation and did not succeed."

"The food and atmosphere were very good. The table setup was poor. We were sat at a square table that had legs on the ends. The guys had to spread their legs to get close to the table. I thought when I first read the menu that each course had a vegetarian option, however, when we arrived the first course did not have a vegetarian option. May have been my fault but not sure. The waiter did not seem to have a very friendly attitude. We made a few jokes and he was pretty stoic. Overall it was a good evening to share with my wife and friends."

"I was a little concerned after easing previous reviews, but our experience at Geordie's was very good. We had a coupon offer, so ordered off the restricted menu; each of us easily found dishes we wanted to try. Our server (they were using an apparently new term, something like 'dining host'- very odd) was very friendly, knowledgeable, and handy when we needed him. Jose was pleasant the entire evening. Contrary to others' experiences, our food was very tasty, the appropriate temperature, and portions were perfectly sized. We did order a dessert, the bread pudding, and that was not as good as the meal. The dessert was less than warm, very crusty, and didn't have much taste. We were quite pleased with the evening and will go back again."

"We used a voucher from Travelzoo and could not have been more disappointed. Instead of being able to select options from the menu, as the voucher implied, we were given a limited menu with few options, none of which were on the regular menu. The appetizers were small and not tasty, the salad was meager at best, the entrees were good and we sent back both desserts they were so bad. The most amazing part of the evening was when our waiter poured our wine he actually bent down to see exactly how far it went up the side of the glass, implying that if he poured too much he would be in trouble with the manager. I would not recommend this restaurant under any conditions."

"This was our first visit to Geordie's and it was awesome!!! The shrimp cake appetizer was to die for; the cornflake chicken was out of this world and the view of the city and sun setting made the evening a night to remember. We will be back!!!"
