Gigi's Asian Bistro & Dumpling Bar is located in The Galleria with entrances from the street on Westheimer and the interior of the Galleria. The menu is created to give your palate a tour of authentic Asian Flavors from China, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Maylasia in a setting that is handsome with a sexy, Asian vibe. If you are a group of 6-10 persons, ask for "Alley" tables, where each cubbyhole is curtained off from prying eyes. 15,000 silk cherry blossoms hang in the sky of our main dining room, "The Cherry Blossom Room," creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. Gigi's signature dishes are Heavenly Beef, Shaking Beef, Coconut Green Curry Chicken, Crispy Whole Fish and Japanese Eggplant. From our Dim Sum menu, guests enjoy ShuMai (shrimp & crabmeat), shrimp dumplings, & Chicken Potstickers. Quench your thirst on our chilled Lychee Martinis & Singapore Slings.
"went for Mother's Day & it is a perfect spot. Dim Sum very good. Busy so service was a little hectic than usual. Would suggest they get rid of the extremely shallow sauce bowls since for a party of four we had to ask for more sauce several times!"

"My wife and I went to Gigi’s for the Sunday brunch and we drove in from Sugar Land. The room was busy and crowded which we liked. Our waiter explained the various dim sum items (small bite-sized portions). The ribs were especially good and tender; we enjoyed the selection of six sauces. We quit going to traditional brunches—too much food and they are all the same. Gigi’s was a refreshing change of pace and we will return."

"Food was good, about what I expected. Wait staff was available and helpful, a little casual for the restaurant though. Went for a birthday, and staff came out with a gong and sang-- I think a gong and cake is sufficient for a nice restaurant, no singing necessary. Had reservation for 8pm, arrived at 820pm and our table was not ready. We didn't wait long, but were surprised we had to wait at all. Overall, a good experience, but slight adjustments could be made. The reason to go to Gigi's is the atmosphere and decoration."

"The place is nicely decorated. Food is highly expensive. I was disappointed bc when our waitor finally arrived I asked about potion size and he said they were large so we could share family style. That is not what we got. We got food enough for one person with each order. If I had known that I would have ordered more food. No one was full. We just ate enough bit to be hungry. Which is sad considering the ticket was over $115 and half the party were kids. The food did taste good but not for the price they were charging. We ordered 4 entrees and dumplings. I wouldn't even mind the price if the service was better. Water boy was attentive and got to us a lot faster than our waitor."

"The food as all always was excellent. The service on the other hand very poor. We waited the front desk for a long time and had to give up and walk into the restaurant to be seated. . Our vegetable side dish was delivered when we had finished our meal. One of our mains was delivered as a starter. We asked 3 timed for the spices you normally get with the appetizers. Our waiter was distracted and inattentive."

"Very expensive, but understandable when one considers the Galleria location. Better Asian food may be had elsewhere, but the service and ambiance was superior."

"With so many other outstanding restaurants in the city with similar price points (like Bar Annie), would not recommend. Food is not bad, but it is not superb either. For instance, we tasted all manner of dumplings, and their fillings and sauces were just boring. Though the wrappings were very good. A specialty, the Wok Panang Beef, is good but it is not amazing and has so very much peanut oil in it and not enough fresh veggies (or raw) to counter all of the oil and salt. The dish is good, but it seems out of balance. PF Chang's is much less expensive and the food is actually a bit better. Gigi's is expensive; we found it much overpriced. The ladies room felt like a place one would find in a prison, not in a chic Houston bistro."

Review 16 for Gigi's Asian Bistro and Dumpling Bar
"This restaurant was average. The tom yum soup was very bland. We sent it back because it totally lacked flavor. Pad thai was good but the prices are way too expensive for the small portions and quality of food. Will probably not return unless I am invited here but by choice I would not pick this spot."

"We were under the impression that this was a upscale rest/bar, good for a nice "date". Decor is great, but patrons with kids running around (Lupe Tortillo?) Apparently absolutely no dress code, blue jean shorts, sandals.... NOT DATE NITE!"

Review 18 for Gigi's Asian Bistro and Dumpling Bar
"Went after work with a group, opted for the items on the Dim Sum menu...great bites! Dumplings, Shu Mai, potstickers, chicken and beef satay skewers, crispy calamari...only miss was the veggie dumpling...lacking flavor, but not a big deal, just wouldn't order again. The Satay skewers were super tender and flavorful."

"Gigi's Asian Bistro is a fun restaurant find in the Houston Galleria. The food was good and the atmosphere was active with a Sweet 16 party going on behind our table! The service was not the best, but it worked. Overall, a good dining experience."

"Entered Gigi's and was immediately impressed. Gigi has set the tone from entrance to being seated to the entirety of the dining experience. The staff was patient, responsive, and met all our unique needs. The food was nothing short of divine. I honestly didn't believe it was possible to prepare food so well! Thanks Gigi, I hope to visit your bistro again in the future."

Review 23 for Gigi's Asian Bistro and Dumpling Bar
"Service and ambiance was good. Place was nicely decorated. However, in my opinion it was overpriced dishes for mediocre food. The taste wasn't bad but with the prices being more than double/triple what Chinese/Asian restaurants normally are, the food was not up to par. I thought the $5 dishes in Chinatown or even at Panda Express tasted better."

Review 28 for Gigi's Asian Bistro and Dumpling Bar
"Love the Brunch. It allows me to try out the much of the menu at a reasonable price and afford to bring my whole family! I love the Cherry Blossom hanging from the ceiling and the Island look of the booths in the back! I've recommended it to friends and co-workers who all of love it as well. We have become regulars for lunch. Sometimes it takes a bit long for our lunch break, but we enjoy it so much we just deal, when we come back from lunch a little late! To the owner (who I saw the last time I was there...(she was attending to everyone at lunch on Valentine's day which really impressed me), You're doing great! Don't change a thing except maybe to open new locations, (I live near Pearland...LOL). Thanks and Be blessed! Sherrunda"

Review 33 for Gigi's Asian Bistro and Dumpling Bar
"I took my date here for valentine's day, and we had a good time. We were very hungry, and I was pleased with how quick our food arrived. We ordered 3 separate times and the staff was great with putting up with us and tending to every request. We were able to share both dishes we ordered, so if you go here and can't decide on one thing, then eat it family style. Portions were large enough that two of us could have had leftovers, but the food was so delicious we ended up finishing it."

Review 34 for Gigi's Asian Bistro and Dumpling Bar
"Had a great meal: Mongolian Hot Pot and Pad Thai. Spring Rolls were good as an appetizer, although a bit oily. Decor was very well put together. A bit noisy due to some kind of NBA competition in the mall and somewhat distracting pop music playing in the restaurant for the first 30 mins of our meal. Otherwise, it was a nice, romantic Valentines Day dinner."

Review 35 for Gigi's Asian Bistro and Dumpling Bar
"We went for the dim sum brunch. For $15 all you can eat, it was a good value. The vegetable dumplings were bland and the bacon-wrapped scallops (or shrimp) were too salty. However, we especially liked the ginger chicken, the ribs, and the shumai. The most disappointing aspect was the service. The restaurant was understaffed and as a result, service was slow. It took some time for a server to come to our table. We had to ask for our tea three times and generally, it took some time to get our food. That said, the dim sum offerings were mostly quite good and the all you can eat brunch is a very good value so we would go back but earlier so that the restaurant would no pt be as crowded."

Review 36 for Gigi's Asian Bistro and Dumpling Bar
"Have been to Gigi's quite a bit. Made reservations and had to wait about 15 min. for our table. Once seated it was very obvious that they were incredibly busy. Finally the Mgr. stops by our table to take drink orders after about 10 minutes. You could tell he was not an experienced server and could not answer any of our questions.
Finally our Server comes by and looks very harried. Takes our order and I inquire if they were short handed for the evening. He told me they only had 3 Servers on the floor for the evening and one busboy. They did not expect to be so busy.
Service was horrendous, which is not normal for Gigi's. Food was terrific as normal."

Review 37 for Gigi's Asian Bistro and Dumpling Bar
"This place was recommended to me by a work colleague and it definately lived up to what he said about the food. The food was very good, well proportioned, good enough to share and very appetizing. The decor was quite eclectic and suited the cuisine excellently, unfortunatlely that's where my appreciation ends. The Valet parking was expensive and I didn't appreciate waiting in line for 10 minutes to drop my car off and 15 minutes to pick it up after the meal was complete. The service was wayfully understaffed, never seen so many people sitting at table waiting for their food to arrive. Ours took over 40 minutes. NEVER AGAIN, sorry!!!"

Review 38 for Gigi's Asian Bistro and Dumpling Bar
"Good (if overpriced) food, but terrible service. We arrived a bit early to our reservation on a Saturday night and were left waiting a half hour. During that time, we saw a couple of walk-ins get seated ahead of us. Our waiter, when he finally showed up, actually admitted he was a bartender at Gigi's and informed us he didn't have the right ingredients on hand to make a standard mixed drink. While our appetizers came out relatively quickly, there was a half hour wait to get from the clearing of the appetizer plates to the serving of the entree. Our bartender/waiter was very efficient about the check, though. Overall, the restaurant was very loud (we were in the back room, not the private booths) and the atmosphere didn't match the prices."

"Very good food! The portions are a little smaller than other chinese food places. Usually splitting one dish between two people is enough. The main dining room is a little loud. That being said I thought the food was very good and so was the service."
