"Great food and wine. Service was odd. Server really wasn't interested in serving and we had a different server after we got our entrees. Servic needs work but everything else was spot on."

"What a find! Best oysters in CT hands down. And the service was astounding. We were treated like old friends. We were late due to I95 traffic so we called and they just said "just get here safely". Everything was ready when we got there. I would definetly recommend this to friends and family with children or not."

"Great food, nice setting, very good service. The only issue we had is they are not so good at predicting how long parties will sit at their tables, which resulted in our waiting nearly a half an hour for our table after the time of our reservation. The restaurant kindly bought us a glass of wine which made the wait more pleasant, but I still would have preferred to avoid the wait. In all, still a very nice evening and very good food. Just don't go with tired feet!"

"Elm Street has always been a favorite of mine. We've been going there for years and hope it stays around for a good long time. My only complaint, and it's minor, is that I feel the prices are really creeping up. But that's Greenwich."

"Fabulous, fresh seafood dishes. The food is consistently great. The atmosphere is reminiscent of NYC: a narrow, bustling space with high ceilings and a fun, albeit noisy, energy."

"This is a small space which can seem very cramped when it is full, which is often. We were there this time on a Sunday night which was very laid back by comparison and all the bottles of wine are half price. The food is great. Not cheap but good seafood never is."

"We went to the Elm Street Oyster House during the restaurant week special for March 2013. The place was packed as usual and we were lucky to get a reservation. We've really enjoyed this restaurant in the past and while it was good, we felt like the choices on the pre-fixe special were a bit lacking. However, the clam chowder was very good and since they were out of the pre-fixe dessert we got the chocolate souffle, which was delicious."

"Food was great. Owner was extremely generous and concerned that we had to wait a bit for a table despite our reservation, even though we never complained. He was most accommodating. well worth another visit soon."

"Enjoyed the fish centric menu but they have more tables crowded into a small room than it can handle. Waiters constantly reaching over the table to clean the dishes off because they can not walk around the tables. They appeared to be having problems with their heating system as the air was blowing cold air at gale force throughout the meal. The appetizers were served to your table within seconds of you completing your order. Doesn't anyone let you enjoy dining these days?"

"The wine pours have gotten signnificantly smaller since last time we dined here. At $13 glass, this is not a good trend. Very much impacts our excitement for a quick return visit."

"The food and experience worth the trip. The staff friendly and the food came out with little wait time. This establishment serves wine only....a fact I did not realize until we sat down. Nevertheless the wine selection was good."

"I took my wife for her birthday and we were blown away by the quality of the seafood. The oysters Were great and the cuts of fish were fresh and perfectly cooked. Add that to the super friendly service and impressive wine list and you Have the perfect birthday dinner. I racked up some quality points with this one. I highly recommend it."

"Having tried getting into this tiny gem over the years at night for dinner ( always crowded with its small dining room ) , it was wonderful coming in for a late lunch and having place to ourselves ."

"Been here a few times and there is always something lacking. Oysters are good, but the owner is gruff/slovenly, never assisting in any way, one tail of his shirt out, etc. Impressions are everything. Here, we came in for our reservation and the table wasn't ready. Unable to catch the bartender's eye, I asked the owner if I could order a bottle of wine we could enjoy while we were waiting. He said "talk to the bartender, it'll be quicker because I'll just have to ask him". Once our table was ready, he walked us in, threw the menus on the table with his back to us, and walked away. Unreal. By 9 o'clock, they turned the lights way up as a clear way of saying "leave now". it was still 3/4 full at the time. Never going back."
