Long known as Kansas City's premier Italian restaurant, this family owned and operated establishment has been an important part of the city's dining experience Since 1963. "We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday Brunch. There was lots of foods to choose from and all of it was very yummy. We went for Mother's day and enjoyed the cocktail choice as part of the meal. I wish we'd have sat outside in the pretty patio dining area."

"The food was excellent and the price was about what you would expect (not cheap). For the cost, I wish they were willing to substitute the dessert item my mom wanted instead of the pound cake. It was mother's day! However we enjoyed the ambience and everything else, and the restaurant is worth going back to."

"Took my mom here for brunch on Mother's Day. Though there was an hour an a half wait for the dining room, our table was waiting for us with our reservation. That was very nice. My only annoyance was that in my reservation I said we would be 2 adults and a toddler and would need a high chair. We were given a table that was right at the start of the buffet and would clearly not work with a high chair. Luckily my son was able to use a booster instead so it worked out all right. The food was delicious and we had very attentive service the entire time. I was pleased to see several vegetarian options on the buffet. I would definitely go back, particularly for brunch!"

"My date and I went to V's for our Prom dinner. It was a Saturday night but we made reservations the day before so everything went perfectly smooth and there was virtually no wait. Everyone was very kind and polite and the food was excellent. We will definitely be coming again."

"It was a very energetic night with young people there for prom but the staff didn't miss a beat and the food was top notch. Try the pomegranite martini - it was wonderful. My husband and I both had the prime rib (we saw someone else with it) and it was fantastic. Our service was excellent. We always return again and again."

"Each of the four of us dining ordered something different and we were all pleased with our food. The waiter was helpful, pleasant and checked on us regularly. Each course was brought out in timely fashion. We never felt rushed but never had to hunt down the waiter for anything either. The area we were in was dark, cozy and pretty quiet. This was our 3rd visit and we will definitely go back again. We feel it is a good value as each dish comes with salad, vegetable or pasta, and their Italian rum cake."

"Having just moved to KC less than a year ago, I'm always very excited to try new places. From the reviews; I thought this would be a local gem! I was very much wrong. The decor and ambiance created is nice; just VERY dated. Our server had two other tables, yet somehow found herself in the weeds as service was very slow. The food? Was edible. Along the lines of any corporate cookie cutter restaurant. Everything tasted bought in from what I am sure was the canned sauce to the fried circle of veal parmesan.
It wasn't horrible. But with the expectations the restaurant and things I've heard set, I was very disappointed."

"Parking was a real challenge. We had reservations for a certain time, but it took 15 minutes or more to try and find a place to park. Part of it was due to snow removal piles, but I ended up dropping my wife off at the door and parking a long ways away and walking to the restaurant. Once in, the food was good and the service was amazing. The staff was very accommodating for my wife's gluten issues--they serve gluten free pastas which was nice. Great place! We will definitely be back, just not on a night when it is so busy."

"I've been going to V's for over 35 years. As this was Mama V's birthday, we called her over and sang to her. It was a great time. Long time friends dining at a long time favorite restaurant. Love it!"

"I was very disappointed with our server. She was very abrupt and rude in the comments she made, and she made us feel like we weren't welcome because we were actually ordering off the menu on a Sunday afternoon. Her exact words were "well, we just aren't used to this because 98% of the people get the buffet". Who cares? Take care of your people!!! We had to wait 9 minutes before menus were even brought to us! The lunch menu is VERY overpriced for the portion and taste of the food. The salad consisted of lettuce, 2 baby tomatoes, cheese, and dressing (mind you....the lunch meals are no less than $18, which is usually a dinner price and all you get is some lettuce??!!) Will not be visiting there again.... sorry!"

"We've been looking forward to and enjoying V's Sunday champagne brunch for years! (We live about 30 minutes away, therefore we don't just drop by for a meal.) The brunch offers breakfast food, Italian dishes including create your own pasta bar, fruit, dessert, champagne, juices and wonderful coffee. It's all hot and so delicious. They even prepared the eggs in a slightly different way just for my best friend. They take reservations - I used OpenTable. It's old style Italian decor with Sinatra playing in the background!"

"My wife and Iwent to V's most recently on Valentine's Day and as usual, it was a great placve to visit. I went away from what I consider my favorites and it was still very good food. Even with an overflow crowd, the service was outstanding as usual. We will continue to visit one of our favorite places to eat in Kansas City. Happy birthday Momma V!"
