"We were looking for a unique dining experience before attending a show at the Fox. We were told that this was a typical Italian restaurant but after we were seated on the outside patio everything exceeded expectations. The outside patio was relaxing and our server took very good care of us. We tried the pizza and antipasta and both were very delicious and flavorful. We want to make plans to return to try the pasta and other varieties of food."

"We always love Vito's before a show at the Fox or, in this case, Powell Hall. We had a wonderful Caprese salad thanks to the great advice of our server Jennifer. The pizza was great BUT here's the 'kink in their armour'; they make their coffee in a single cup Keruig!!! We were forced to wait for a good 5-8 minutes for a cup AND refills are charged. Jennifer apologized twice, we told her to take her time and she said she had to wait in line for her turn at the machine. The table next to us overheard the conversation and we all had a good laugh. UNBELIEVABLE!!"

"Great restaurant, great food but this night was not one of their best. Pizzas took forever, then received wrong order. Waitress made matters worse by being sarcastic about the fact that the pizzas were backed up. You would think that the restaurant would prepare for a night that they knew was going to be extremely busy."

"The service was excellent. The food was pretty good. The red sauce was yummy. I ordered the baked shrimp but the side portion was not very large for what I paid. The temperature inside the restaurant was nearing 80 degrees, which on a 90 degree day made it unpleasant. We were the only diners and there was no music playing so that was kind of awkward."

"The minute we arrived, we were given outstanding service. We were promptly seated and then greeted by our server Sheri. The 7 yr old in our group loved the attention she was given . She ordered the spaghetti and mama Vito personally came out to ask how it was. The food was very good and very little wait. Our server was very personable and checked back with us just the right amounts of time. Definitely would eat here again!"

"We visited Vito's before enjoying the Million Dollar Quartet at the Fox Theater. It was very convenient, the Fox is just a short walk away. We had a friendly, efficient server, always a plus. The food was very, very good. We had the arancini balls, they were the best we have ever had. The server was very sweet to bring extra sauce and wait for the ordering of the next course. We ordered pizza and enjoyed it as well. The only issue is the room itself. The tables are very close together and the booth itself was miniature. We are not big people and we barely fit in the booth with our knees touching! But the experience was great! We will definitely come back!"

"We had a pre-symphony dinner and made reservations the previous day. Got seated within ten minutes at a nice little table. Our server was prompt, courteous, fast and efficient. We ordered salads, Risotto Balls as an appetizer and then each ordered a calzone. Delicious bread rolls arrived--nice! Then salads arrived--nice! Later, calzones arrived--huh? Where was the appetizer? The server apologized profusely and said she had forgotten to include that in the order. They arrived piping hot about 10 minutes later, taken off the bill. We finished off with cannoli and took the remains of the delish calzones (they're huge) and the delish appetizer with us. Even with the ordering mishap, it was still a pleasant and enjoyable experience."

"We had a 6:30pm reservation but due to Blues, Cards & Fox events happening traffic was horrible and we did not get there until 7. They held our reservation for us when we called and we were seated as soon as we got there. Our waitress Amanda told us what we should order to make sure we get to the show on time and not have to throw our food down. We had salads and pasta and we had time to spare to get to the theater. But we did not feel like we were rushed. The seafood ravioli was so delicious and my husband enjoyed his tortellini. We really appreciated the sensitivity to our situation and will make Vito's a regular spot before The Fox."

"We enjoyed our dinner experience very much. Wife had Spaghetti Carbonara, said it was very good. I had the Rib Eye Steak special. Although I was hesitant to order a steak at a pizza/Italian restaurant, the steak was superb! It came with a mushroom sauce and was done to a perfect medium rare. Really, one of the top steaks that I have ever had. Wine was good, service was very good except it did seem to take quite awhile to get our waiter's attention to get the check. The patrons were of all ages and the conversations were a little loud, but not so that it was annoying in any way. We would certainly recommend Vito's to all."

"We started with Arancini which was excellent. Our group had Caesar, Caprese, and Panzanella salads. The Panzanella didn't appear to be anything more than a regular salad with croutons soaked in vinaigrette - nothing special. The other salads were typical of most restaurants. Our entrees consisted of Lasagna, Linguinne Tutto Mare, and the Seafood Ravioli. Again, the Lasagna seemed rather ordinary. The Linguinne Tutto Mare was very bland and the portion was skimpy. The worst part of our experience was the wait. The appetizer and salads came out quickly, but we waited another 30-40 min. before our entrees arrived. We allowed 2 hours to eat before our show, but barely made it in time. We've eaten there before - inconsistent in quality & service"

"Food and service were good. The meal was served in an unrushed manor.
I wish however that spicier dishes were noted. The individual I was dining with specifically ordered the Cavatelli alla Norma but couldn't eat it as it was spicey. It was good otherwise.
I ordered the Artisanal Gnocchi- excellent.

I wish however that spicier dishes were noted. The individual I was dining with specifically ordered the Cavatelli alla Norma but couldn't eat it as it was spicey. It was good otherwise.

"Pasta Carbonara was very good, Tortellini was excellent, wood-fired pizzas also very good. Good wine list, not outstanding for an Italian restaurant. Waitress not very helpful or attentive. Reservation was mixed up - thought we had 2 people, reservation was for 4, then the snooty hostess gave our table to someone else, so we ended up waiting 40 minutes! Nevertheless, the food was so good, we would definitely go again!"

"We went Vito's before a matinee at the Fox. We intended to order off the menu, but everyone else there for lunch seemed to choose the lunch buffet, so we did too. Big mistake! The pizza tasted more like the frozen kind you make at home. The soup was runny and inedible. The salad was fair. The balsamic vinaigrette was good. The price was $8.50 plus the cost of a beverage, but unless you just want a cheap meal, skip this and order from the menu!"

"The major complaint we had was with the coffee service. Our waitress explained that they are using a Keurig type system which brews one cup at a time. Coffee was good but the service was sporadic as cups arrived at different times and one of our group had to ask 3 times for her second cup. Also felt a little rushed when food arrived before our salads were eaten. The table was terribly crowded with both salad and dinner plates."
