"I eat here for lunch and dinner on a regular basis and love it! The menu is typical of an american style restaurant but the quality and the service put it over the top! The burger is still one of my favorites in Atlanta."

"Made a reservation on line and regretfully arrived just a few minutes late. The receptionist was excellent and had our table waiting regardless. She was very friendly and greeted us with a big welcome. I felt like she was very glad to see us and looked forward to serving us. The food was very good."

"I did not realize that this place is known for its pumpkin bread. They also brought out some banana nut bread. If that isn't good enough, they also brought out some blueberry and chocolate chip muffins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was absolutely delicious. My entree was tasty. Service was phenomenal and the PEACH POUND CAKE IS TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"The experience was good because of the food. The service was not good at all. The manager did everything he thought to do to rectify the issues which made the issues more notable. He was at our table constantly. Incorrect food was brought out. Some of our party's order didn't get turned in to the kitchen with the rest of it. We had been there over an hour before our food came to the table. If you go, get ready to be there close to 2 hours and to see the manager a lot. He seemed like a very nice guy, but unless their service improves, he's going to be waiting on every table."

"Mother's day evening was so loud we couldn't her mom. We go here for lunch all the time but this time we were seated in the rear section surrounded by 4 tables of LOUD family groups with small children and/or teenagers who were shouting. We eventually begged for another table in the front, but sheesh. Food was fine, but the noise level was like a school cafeteria."

"A colleague from Argentina and I visited Garrison’s Broiler & Tap for the first time on May 2. I selected this restaurant based upon a recommendation from a personal friend who is also a chef. Being that Argentina is known for its beef, I was hoping for the best. We were not disappointed at all. Her feedback was that everything was excellent and we both thoroughly enjoyed our steaks, the service offered and the cheesecake was fabulous. I will definitely return soon!"

"This is my second trip to Garrison's. It was better the second time around. The cucumber martini is definitely worth a try. The crab cake is large and does not contain a lot of filler. The Garrison's house salad is a winner, too.

"My husband & I ate here for the first time last week, and we'll be back. Overall, the food was very good, and I had the best shrimp & grits I have ever had (I've had a lot). My husband's large filet mignon was perfectly cooked. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. We needed to eat and get to a show at the Cobb Energy Center, which is very close to Garrison's, and our food came quickly - we did have an early evening reservation, and it wasn't very crowded yet. It was quiet but might get a little livelier later in the evening. There was a nice outdoor space for eating, too. It is in a large, rambling shopping center, and it took us a minute or two to find the restaurant, but no big deal. We'll go back for sure."

"We went for brunch and two of us had the Eggs Benedict. It was delicious and so were the pepper jack grits and roasted potatoes. My mom had the parmesan crusted chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Her only complaint was that the green beans were not cooked enough, but other than that everything was perfect. The service was very good and the prices of our meals were reasonable. It was crowded, which is a good sign, but also was pretty loud where we were sitting. All in all, a great experience and we will definitely be back."

"Garrison's is always one of our favorites but they seem to have elevated their menu to another level. I really enjoyed the warm red cabbage salad with ricotta, crispy salami, apricots & blood orange vinaigrette. The rare misstep was the peppercorn sauce for the beef medallions which was so over the top with peppercorns that i couldn't eat it. I hated to send it back but the béarnaise sauce they replaced it with was a home run. Service as spot on as was the complimentary piece of B-52 cheesecake which was to die for with it's grand mariner, kalua, & Bailey's-wow! We enjoyed it all."

"This is a restaurant to which I always return. Even though there seems to have been a significant turn over in wait-staff on recent visits, the new servers are also attentive and knowledgeable. I just miss some of the prior servers, but am sure that they have moved on to new opportunities. Service is good and the servers are generally friendly and helpful! There are televisions for those who want to catch the various games and there is pretty good music to listen to if the dining crowd is not too noisy. The patio is great and you can sometimes hear the music better out there. :) I wish the patio chairs were a little more comfortable. All in all, a nice place to enjoy a dinner, lunch (or brunch on the weekends)."

"We had never been there until about 2 weeks ago when we were looking for a nice place to be able to keep our Catholic lenten requirements of no meat on Friday. Our son lives in the area and had heard that Garrisons was a good place to try. We drove from Lawrenceville to join he & my other son for dinner and BOY WERE WE GLAD !!!! We had salmon and some awesome martinis and were treated beautifully. On a return visit when my brother was coming in from D.C. we made the trip all the way to Vinings to have dinner again and this time invited my daughter & her husband who were coming from even farther away ( and complaining of the drive) and everyone was so impressed and said the food was excellent. We have raved about the food ever since."

"Extremely happy with the whole experience. We needed to change our reservation time and that was handled seamlessly. Both the hostess and the manager checked on us during dinner.Our server, Cam, and his trainee were wonderful. Husband had the salmon special with shrimp and risotto which he loved. I had the house salad which was perfectly dresssed and chicken sandwich with manchego and avacado and onions. Delicious and chicken was moist. Loved that Tier one and Two wines were half price Sunday evening. Tried a great Merlot for under $5"

"Stephanie working reservations and hostess station treated our group as if we were executives for brunch. They were super busy and attended to every guest with great care. We had two small babies in our group and there were slings at both ends of the table to accommodate and also near the hearth (nice touch!) The manager checked on us and was very attentive as well. Our server Tiffany was excellent. Our group camped out for quite awhile (which in restaurant terms, over 90 minutes deserves a huge tip!) She checked on us frequently, made recommendations, was patient with us and made us feel welcome even though we were hogging up her table. Food, always wonderful, but those cheesy fritters are to die for! Thank you Garrison's!"

"We never have a bad meal here. Lunchtime is usually busy so expect a wait if you don't have a reservation but that being said, even when it's busy, the food is always top quality. If you enjoy a good burger, you will never go wrong here. We've had an assortment of choices from salmon to sea bass, to tuna, to lamb chops, burgers and pasta and can not find fault with any dish that comes out. A great neighborhood gem for a quick dinner out with very reasonable prices and great service."

"I have always loved this place. This time, maybe not so much. My girlfriend had the chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. I can't explain how this is possible, but the taste was horrible. I was blown away. Probably one of the easiest combinations of food to cook and have it taste good. I had the grilled pork tenderloin with spinach and crispy potatoes. The sides were delicious. The pork left a little to be desired and didn't like the pineapple chimichurri on top. We got the peach poundcake at the end b/c she didn't eat her food and it turned out to be good. Best for last I guess. I am bummed that the meal was as bad as it was b/c I normally look forward to eating here. Hopefully she will give it another chance one day."
