Tramonto is situated on the third floor of the River Rock Casino Resort. "... we were served our main course. This is a great restaurant (fine dining), the service is great (most of the servers have been there since the restaurant opened), the view is spectacular but not all entrees are great. My chicken was dry and my husband's pasta was "mushy" ... but the presentation was very nice ! We've had great meals before at this restaurant but on Friday, it wasn't all great !"

"Had a spectacular evening - amazing food from start to finish and divine service! Our server made great recommendations for wine and food and had great skill in explaining every detail of the menu, from the ingredients to the way the chef prepares it. Their June lobster menu has some great items and everyone in our group loved their appetizers, entrees & desserts - don't forget wine, cocktails, and cappuccinos! Re: the butter (someones comment below), it is definitely REAL butter, it has just been whipped, which makes it taste even better. You can even request firm butter or oil & vinegar if you prefer. they really do cater to your needs - just ask if you feel something missing. i would definitely recommend Tramonto to friends and family!"

"Tramonto was an amazing place that had a beautiful view of the water and sun. Food was amazing -I am a vegetarian so the chef accomodated the gnocci dish making it without meat. The halibut dish that others ordered was very delicious. The server totally pampered us with great service and bringing items in a timely fashion. I totally recommend Tramonto for any person who likes to enjoy food, fun & a relaxing evening. I am hoping to take my husband there for a relaxing dinner."

"Dined at Tramonto on a sunny Friday evening with 3 friends & had a lovely evening. The Tramonto staff was amazing - friendly, attentive, not overbearing, and just all-round smooth service all night. From the hostesses to the servers, we were treated with great respect & we felt like our needs were listened to. Food was absolutely delicious - wine, starters, entrees and desserts! definitely safe room for dessert! Try to request a window table if you make your reservation early enough. The sunset was beautiful and the marina/river view was a nice special touch. cannot wait to go back to Tramonto again and we will definitely be telling our friends about this place! everyone in Richmond and Vancouver should try it at least once - you'll love it"

"I had a reservation for. 7 on a Saturday, unfortunately my boyfriend forgot his ID and we had to return back to the house. We asked if we could push out reservation to 7:45 and it was no problem. I'm also glad we did since the sunset was beautiful. Our food was great the antipasto for 2, sausage stuffed calamari, and crabcakes. Oh also the cheesecake for desert. Everything was so tasty. Our server was Faud ( I believe that's his name) he truly made our evening a dining experience as opposed to just going out for dinner. The Tramanto was fabulous and I can't wait to go again."

"Would probably go back for the excellent service at a quieter time.. However, very noisy, which is not good for my tinnitus. They were not able to give us a requested window seat probably because they were busy with Show people and we booked only a day before. The antipasta dish was excellent. However, my $31,00 seafood pasta was definitely not worth it. My wife is a very good cook and I tend to compare food at restaurants with hers. I do not think my or her entrees quite matched what we get at home. Overall, I would say a visit at a quieter time, would be worth it and a window seat a must just to experience the service."

"If you want to treat yourself to the best of everything, Tramanto is it in Richmond. World class service, Chef Sylvain's brigade, constantly innovates with the right flavours, and superior food quality. A diverse and balanced wine list. and the view looking west to a great sunset or the planes approaching YVR, you will get the full dining experience here. Expect to spend a couple of C-notes, but it will be worth it."

"A busy, go-to spot, had reservations and were seated immediately at the perfect table for 2. Our friendly waiter was extremely knowledgeable and informative regarding the menu and extensive wine list. We decided on the seafood platter for 2 to share, my husband had the 'duck duo', I chose the lobster corn chowder. The seafood platter was tasty, however at $41.00 seemed at little sparse, could have used more shellfish. Our mains were delicious. Ambience was lively and fun, noise level was high. Service by the restaurant staff was impeccable. We checked into the hotel, had dinner at Tramonto, enjoyed the Bill Cosby show and had a peaceful night's sleep before heading home next day - great way to spend the evening!"

"Wii defintely go back.
One of the draw backs and it not the restaurants fault is not being able to leave a jscket/coat at a table in Lulus Lounge so you can go back and lasiten to music.

"I don't mind spending a large amount on a special night out, however, Tramonto fell flat on a few different points.
1) we had too many wait staff tending to us which is to say that we started off with one waiter and throughout the evening added at least 4 more which felt awkward and disorganized particularly when we wanted to ask for something
2) despite all the extra staff tending to us, we weren't asked if we'd like another drink from the bar and had to wave someone over when we wanted our water glasses filled
3) a very loud alarm went off at one point and we were told it was because of something in the massive building that didn't effect us, however, having an alarm gonging loudly over your head for 15 minutes definitely DID effect us."

"I have been waiting awhile to go to Tramonto at the River Rock, but hadn’t gotten around to it until recently.
The restaurant itself is lovely – romantic, modern décor, ambient lighting, and huge windows offering views of the Fraser river and North Shore mountains. Soon after being seated, we were given some fresh rustic bread with a high quality olive oil for dipping, as well as a gluten free option for my wife. My wife has allergies, and the restaurant made every effort to accommodate.
We started with the Dungeness crab cakes and the pistachio crusted goat cheese – both were very tasty and satisfying, and larger appetizers than we were expecting.
For a main dish, I ordered the Duck Duo, which was amazing. The pan roasted duck breast"

"Took my mom to Tramonto for dinner and a show. It was for her upcoming 75th birthday and she loved the restaurant and food and of course the show was amazing. The service was exceptional and we had the sturgeon which was amazing! Loved it! Had the amazing coconut sorbet, also exquisite! Loved it and would not hesitate to return and recommend!"

"All the staff was very friendly from beginning to end and didn't appear flustered, even on a busy Valentine's night!
The food was reasonably priced for the high quality (I'm not saying cheap but...) and the wine list was varied enough to match our food selections.

"My wife & I visited Tramonto this weekend & asked another couple to join us. I can’t say enough good things about this establishment. We’ve visited several times a year for a few years now & have yet to be disappointed. Saturday was no exception. What really impresses me, aside from the food & wine, is the knowledge of the staff. When you ask a question about an item on the menu you’re provided with details, not just an overview. What the item is, how the chef prepares it, the accompaniments, etc. I can’t think of a better fine dining experience in the Richmond area. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great food, extensive wine list…oh, and the views. Get a window seat and enjoy a sunset… or 2 or 3. You won’t be disappointed."
