"Was my first time here,went for my birthday and I absolutely loved it.loved the scenery,alittel dark.but nice,my boyfriend had to use the waitresses flash lite.moving on to the sauteed scallops for appetizer,absolutely delicious.for the main course the rib eye,lobster mash potatoes very absolutely divine and the sauteed spinach was quite delicious as well.but my favorite was the butter cake,I want there recipe so badly."

"I went to Mastro's in Newport Beach a few months ago, and must say that it was one of the best dining experiences I've had- the service and food were superb. So I tried this one in Beverly Hills, and I must say that the experience was very different. The food was overall very salty, especially the seafood. And there also seemed to be huge chunks of fats on the steaks. As a steakhouse, I expected a lot better meat.
In addition, this location is like a hotspot for the clubbing crowd that come here for the bars to drink. It was really noisy and packed. And that left the service to be rushy and hasty, getting our orders mixed up, hardly returning to the table to check up, and packing up the wrong food.
Bottom line, go to a different Mastro's."

"mastro's is always pretty solid for food. steak is yummy but definitely overpriced (it's good and certainly better than outback, but 5x's better? i don't think so). it was also unusually dark and loud that night. i was having a reunion, ie. i wanted to SEE them and HEAR them and could barely do either."

"I love Mastro's Beverly Hills. I came to dinner with my husband and three children. Everything was fantastic. They loved the drinks, the ambience and especially the crab, shrimp and steak. However, the macaroni was different than I remembered so we did not enjoy it. Please bring back the prior macaroni. Nevertheless, I celebrate all my special events at Mastro's Beverly Hills."

"Waited over 15 minutes after reservation time to be seated. Requested upstairs for a party of 6, but was seated downstairs where tables are far too close together. It felt like the table next to me was part fo my dinner party. The noise level was too loud (probably because they tried to cram too many tables into too small a space), the air conditioning was up way too high (cold), and the waiters were constantly reaching over my plate and bumping into my shoulders. I was disappointed in this visit . All previous visits have been very good, but I would hesitate to go back here for another large group dinner or special occasion and I will warn my friends and family about the problems of this visit."

"We are regulars at Mastro's and come here with family and friends and just the two of us for anniversaries. We love the rib eyes, creamed spinach and of course the butter cake! The service is always top notch and you can request which level you want to sit at. If you love piano music and lots of action, sit up stairs if you prefer a quite relaxed atmosphere sit downstairs. We had my husband's 50th birthday here and it was wonderful. We never are disappointed with the food. Great to come to the bar and eat and have a martini or great glass of wine."

"Didn't care for the ambience with the mid to dark tone.
Reserve the table for four and we were seated promptly even though our friends arrived late. A very classy establishment that strive for service and presentation delivered as expected. The doorman kindly asked me to remove my baseball cap per company policy.
The servers were very attentive and courteous. Always asked how we were doing and made sure our glass were always full of drinks.
We ordered 3 sides:
Creamed spinach, Gorgonzola Mac and cheese, and lobster mashed potato.
Main course:
12 oz Filet (2)
16 oz Double cut pork chop
16 oz new York (my friend ordered it wasn't sure exact name)

"In town from New Orleans for pleasure - my world-traveling-food savy boss rec. Mastto's for dinner. Expected too quiet atmosphere with exceptional but small portioned food and was pleasantly surprised to walk into an energetic, music filled, happy crowd dining. Food was delish with plentiful portions & the lobster mashed potatoes are a must. People sitting next to us were from New York & we all went upstairs to the penthouse bar for after dinner drinks & great conversation.

"The service was the best part of the experience with a staff that saw to our every need and made great recommendations and was very attentive to us. World class would be my best description of their service and staff.
The food was good but a slight disappointment because we were expecting great. While the bone-in rib eye I had was amazing (I would recommend this), the roasted chicken my wife had was pedestrian. The salad was fine, the appetizers good, the sides were excellent, the main dish needs to cary a meal.
It has a good vibe to it if you get into the right room. The room off to the right is darker and quieter. The main room has some liveliness to it. I hope you can chose what side you want."

"We had a 5pm reservations and were sat in an empty Dining room , just outside the kitchen. As we ate are $100 per person dinner the whole staff came in and out of the kitchen with food or just hung around and talked. Hostess needs training. Food was good but not great. If Not already a regular custom I won't bother wasting the money!"

"Mastros' is a favorite. You want streak, go to Mastro's. Love the NY Strip with scalloped potatoes. Careful - sides are for two. Pretzel bread is the best. Dessert is redundant when food is so scrumptious - but get it anyway. Service, spot on. And always a scene. Five stars for Mastro's."

"We had the best experience there! We were unhappy with the steak we ordered, and they readily replaced it with one that was amazing!! AND they gave us fresh sides and comped our wine. The service was above and beyond. We left extremely happy."

"This is a very excellent restaurant. Each diner is treated like a welcome guest. Our reservation was for 8:15 and we were seated exactly on time. I loved the Sunday night dining. It was very relaxed and mellow, . This restaurant is class all the way."

"Food was delicious. Had good experience. My wife had to return the steak coz it still had red in it, which was fine. They replaced all the side dishes like the lobster mashed potato and the sauteed mushrooms coz they had to heat up the steak again. awesome. Worth it for the price."

"There were seven in our party. The food and service were both outstanding ... great steaks, tuna, lobster mashed potato dish, and perfectly prepared asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and decadent onion rings. The martinis were excellent too. The occasion was for a birthday and the 'birthday boy' was presented with a chocolate cake dessert with a personalized birthday greeting written on the outside rim of the plate in chocolate script. Delightful!!"

"We go to Mastro's for their excellent filet mignon. I'm not big on red meat but make an exception when dining here - perfectly grilled, best quality and very tasty. A bit pricy when you add some sides to your meal but worth a special treat. Sweet potato fries a favorite."

"Great restaurant! Food was outstanding!! I had the filet Mignon and it was outstanding! My daughter had the lobster tales and she devoured them both. From the bread, to the appetizers and finally the entree, it couldn't have been better. The ambiance is a great place to see and been seen. The entire atmosphere is an A+! I would strongly recommend anyone who has not been to Mastro's to definitely go there as you will not be disappointed"

"When I want the best meal in town I go to maestros in Beverly hills. The steaks are fantastic....the sides are outstanding and plentiful. The service is very attentive from the people who pour the water to the waiter...by the way, the waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and answered everyone's questions in detail...professional and very pleasant. A pleasant waiter can make or break your dining experience.
