"This was my third time to Mastro's. I've been coming to Scottsdale every year for a golf vacation the last few years, and have made Mastro's a regular stop after discovering it on my first trip out.
As usual, the food was great but what made a great evening an extremely memorable one was the phenomenal service we had. Lauren, our waitress, was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make us feel at home.
The steaks, bone marrow and dessert were fantastic. My only nitpick would be that the potato sides were a bit too rich for my liking.
Will definitely be going back next time I'm in town!"

"We ordered a bottle of Moët Imperial and it came out warm. The waitress did not offer to replace but just put in bucket. After 20 minutes it was still not cold. Then after request we got another bottle which was cold but took another 15 minutes. Nothing was offered as an accommodation."

"The service was excellent and I would recommend the Lobster bisque...my steak was OK not worth the money I had a petite filet it was cooked exactly how I like it but for $39.00 I would expect it to melt in my mouth and it didn't...

"I was extremely disappointed with the reception desk (food was outstanding, table service was excellent and the atmosphere was electric). But, we had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation, and then we were escorted to a private room at the far end of the restaurant to sit at a table in a near empty room. We refused the table and waited several more minutes for an acceptable table. Half of the enticement of Mastro's is it's atmosphere - and to be placed in a room that had none - and alone is simply unacceptable.
Other couples continued to be seated immediately and there were empty tables in the bar and main dining room. We were just treated badly by this staff."

"I was beginning to resign myself to the fact that the quality of food, service, and my expectations of AZ need to be lowered to enjoy eating out in this state. Wrong! The service in of itself was outstanding: courses brought out in a timely manner/did not overlap, the server had the menu memorized/knew great detail about each and every item, he made great recommendations, and the staff in general worked like a well-oiled machine (this staff was flying around the restaurant knocking into each other in a way that appeared to mirror a dance without dropping a single item or even making a lot of noise, and the presentation/serving of the different courses was very professional). The food quality was excellent, and the flavor was delicious."

"My husband went with a buddy of his to Mastro's and he couldn't wait to go back with me. It was truly an amazing dinning experience. We ate in the bar area.. and it wasn't too loud.. we had a wonderful waiter who originally was from Long Island.. and he was amazing.. and gave us great tips on wine and what to order. The clear lobster roll shouldnt be missed.. I would go just for that. Lot's of beautiful people.. and the band that was playing was great.. and not too loud. The price tag is a bit steep but very worth it!"

We have been married 10 years so thankfully we know what the other is thinking LOL! Wine selection was massive and the steak simply excellent. "I always thought a steak was a steak until I ate a bone in cut from Mastros. The food is just amazing, I can't think of another word worthy of just how good this steak was. I was full and still wanted to eat more. My fiancée had a pomegranate martini that was also to die for. I must recommend the lobster mashed potatoes, I took them home as leftovers and ate them cold the next morning and they were the second best mashed potatoes I've ever had only being beaten by them warm the night before. The only negative big I can say about mastros is the lighting of the place was just a little too dark for me. But it's true you really get what you pay for and Mastros is worth every penny"

"We went to celebrate our anniversary although the food was good we felt very rushed. It was not romantic and very difficult to even have a conversation with each other. We spent good money and had a decent meal but were in and out of there in 40 min. That was dissapointing along with feeling like we where in a dark cafeteria setting, hearing everyone else's conversation but our own!"

"Went to Mastro's City Hall as a party of 4. We're all pretty laid back, but the service was unbelievably bad. Kept rushing us while giving really slow service. My cocktail (just a gin/tonic) arrived with meal (about 40 minutes)with no garnish. Warm Spinach salads were ice cold. Scallops arrived as "scalloped potatoes". Steak was overcooked, but we didn't bother with it after all. Asked sauce on the side for dessert, which of course had to be sent back, and the espresso had to be downed before the dessert. They removed a couple of small items from the bill, which did not make it right. Manager called the next day, I gave him nice, constructive feedback. Although told him I'm still in town, he responded with "We'll do it better next time!"."

"Overall, we had a nice dinner at Mastro's. Our server, (who's name I can't recall) was very attentive. The noise level was very loud however which made it difficult to have a conversation without yelling. My husband ordered the pork chop which arrived charred on the outside. It was promptly removed and they brought back another one. I had the halibut special cooked in panko and pan seared which was good, not fabulous as I'd hoped. It could have used a little something extra. The roasted brussell sprouts were yummy."
