"All the fish/seafood dishes were really good- Lobster,Sole, Scallops --as were the appetizers and salad. Can't complain about the food or the service. Very pricey though, and the noise level was horrible.---if you like the upscale Scottsdale/Las Vegas bar scene, some interesting people watching."

"The steakhouse model does not fit with seafood. Grilled halibut on a plate by itself? It looked lonely although the flavor was good. Crab cakes were awful even after being sent back twice they were totally overlooked."

"Mastro's Ocean Club is simple "The Best" in the Valley of the Sun. We celebrated a dual birthday party for two gentlemen, age 77 and 82. They enjoyed their evening very much and will return often. The server was great and the new cocktails introduced that day hit a home run out of the park! The Bone in Filet is absolutely the best steak in town in my opinion with out question."

"We had a fantastic dinner celebrating our anniversary. The lobster bisque is the best we have ever had with huge pieces of tender claw meat. We were very impressed. Lobster mashed potatoes are equally as good and worth the price. Their signature butter cake is amazing. Very generous food portions. The service was excellent. It is la oud and energetic atmosphere so anyone looking for a quiet or romantic dinner will be disappointed."

"Chilean Sea Bass is outstanding. Bone-in Filet served perfectly medium rare. Sides are huge and big enough for 4 to 6 people each. The only problem is that the bar area is very crowded and there is no real place to wait for a table. The seating is cramped in the main dining room as well. The food is consistently great. It is not cheap, however."

"We booked dinner at the Ocean Club for our first wedding anniversary. We called ahead of time to ensure we had a seat in the main dining area vs. a banquette, and they ensured that request. We've been there a couple times before, and they are always on par with their level of elegance, service, and quality of food. If you're ready to spend and splurge, this is definitely the place to go."

"When my table wasn't ready @ my reservation time, I was unable to wait at the bar due to the crowd--had to wait outside. When I was finally seated (15 min late), service, etc. was great, but the room was very noisy--difficult to carry on a quiet conversation. "Fabulous over the top service! We went there for my husband's birthday. The waiter was extremely professional and very attentive! There were seven of us, and we ordered several appetizers to start. The food was delicious except my Sea Bass done oreganato was too greasy. I took one bite and immediately the waiter was over and could tell I was not satisfied. He offered other options. The lobster mashed potatoes were delicious!
Our waiter brought out a beautiful dessert platter for my husband birthday.

"We went to O. Club for my husband's bday. The food was quite good - our appetizer of King Crab Legs was a slight disappointment as they were very cold and not very large. Our entrees were excellent - seared Big Eye Tuna and Sea Bass with a side of Asparagus. Our server was quite attentive for the first half of our meal but once the food was served it was hard to track him down. The biggest downfall for us was the noise - the music was so loud we had to practically scream to each other across the table and to any of the staff as they served us. I know the bar scene is quite the place to be, especially as a pick up scene for North Scottsdale but we were there for a romantic dinner so it wasn't what we were hoping or expected."

"Fine dining at it's best! The food is to die for! The Chef's Cut Ribeye was absolutely perfect as were the lobster mashed potatoes. The others in my group are still talking about how great their entrees of chilean sea bass, rack of lamb and mahi mahi. The service was impeccable! The servings were not only out of this world, we had a whole sack of take home as well!
I can't remember a more delightful evening! Simply Superb! Don't forget to save room for the warm butter cake. MMMM! MMMM!"

"Our entire experience was awesome. From our arrival until our departure, everything was superb. The food was excellent and the service was superb. "Mastro's Ocean Club is a true gem! I took my long time boyfriend out for his 26th birthday and could not have picked a more appropriate place. I made my reservation on Open Table and marked the option that this was for a birthday dinner. When we had finished our meal I was ready for the check and a waitor brought out a massive slice of chocolate cake and wished my man a happy birthday! Amazing! I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and my boyfriend ordered the Pacific Swordfish! Both were amazing. I would recommend the garlic mashed potatoes and garganzolla macoroni and cheese as sides! Our waitor was also a wine expert so he chose and appropriate wine to properly match my boyfriends meal. Amazing place to go! Be smart and don't bring your kids!"

"Our family of four (2 adults and 2 teenagers) ate dinner at Mastro's Ocean Club on March 31st. We made a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was outstanding in every way. The food was excellent, too! We were all pleasantly surprised that our food was hot when it arrived. Your food is normally warm it is is served; but our food was hot. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely eat at Mastro's again. It was unfortunate that we were unable to manage dessert. We had too many delicious appetizers."

"Why in the world would you have a terrible cover band playing loudly in the bar in a fine dining restaurant? We couldn't hear each other talk! It was my dad's 84th birthday and Mastro's was a terrible choice. The food is great, but the ambiance was ruined by lousy music coming from the bar area. I will not return."

"We headed to the bar before our 5:30 reservation, and it was 5 minutes before one of the 8 to 10 servers and bartenders in the nearly-empty bar would acknowledge us. It was very strange. After we sat down, the server and the food were fine, but nothing memorable. I wouldn't want to own stock in this place."

"The cuisine was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. I would not recommend the vanilla battered lobster however.. we sent it back. the regular steamed lobster they brought in exchange was to die for. Service was good but the server could have been more personable and could have smiled. We sat by the window and they had the windows open since it was so nice outside! A great experience."

"While the food is always fantastic and the server accommodated our requests, we arrived well before the restaurant got too busy and were given one of the worst tables in the place. Disappointing amount of traffic that was so cramped that when servers leaned over the table across the way to pour water, the servers foot repeatedly kicked my leg.....the walkway was too small. My only other disappointment here was repeated.....if you order wine, they will keep it coming, however, if you order coke or diet coke (which I do) it's nearly impossible to keep it refilled. I don't drink alcohol but was willing to pay $4 for a diet coke (X2).
Be sure to request a table by the window."

"We came to Mastros to celebrate my husbands birthday. We got there over 15 minutes early and were seated within 5 minutes. There was a full basket of different types of breads, way too many went to waist however we liked that there was different kinds and not just one kind. My husband got the grouper which he said was amazing and I got the petite filet which I also thought was amazing. We didn’t order any dessert and were brought a Warm Butter Cake and they even wrote Happy Birthday Ruben with Chocolate around the plate. The cake was delicious! We are definitely going to come here more often. The service was great and it was pretty busy for a Monday night dinner. We even got a call from the restaurant the day after thanking us for coming"
