"I went here NYE with my boyfriend and I was disappointed with the service I got. This was my first time going there so I expected excellent service and our server never checked on us once unless it was to clear plates off the table and honestly I felt like the bus boy payed more attention to us. Our food was also taking forever to come out and it was upsetting since there was only a new years eve menu, for a plate that looked like it should take no more than 5 minutes took 15-20."

Came highly recommended - but highly disappointing
"I flew in from Arizona and had one night dedicated to eating & drinking Chicago. This restaurant was said to be a 'must' by a friend. I made a reservation for 11:15 PM, dinner for 2. We were seated at once. Our waiter asked us if were were dining or just having cocktails. We heard great things about their food & drinks and made a dinner reservation to enjoy both. The waiter informed us the kitchen closed at 12:00 this particular evening. Right off the bat, we were down to roughly 40 minutes. I can't believe a restaurant would take a reservation for dinner then not be willing to provide a full dining experience. We promptly ordered our cocktails. The waiter left for a while and then we ordered our courses right away. Appetizers were okay, the mussel broth was the shining star, but the bread with the dish tasted like butane. The scallops were seared really hard on one side and not at all on the other- leaving a weird texture contrast. Our waiter offered us a second cocktail while we still were drinking our first and were still eating the mussels because he said our entree was coming out soon and it's now last call. Okay - it's maybe 11:40PM. We were not slow or lingering. We ordered one more cocktail. Sometime later the waiter came by, sat on the table next to us, poured us water and said 'we seemed' to miss last call. Really? Who's 'we' - he offered the cocktail and he took the order! "Seems" like he missed last call! Ouch! Pork Tenderloin came out luke warm and was okay in flavor. The chef came out from the kitchen, went to the bar & filled up his cup. The bartender took a shot. Half rate hospitality. There was nobody there that cared about service standards. We were out of there by 12:00. What a shame. This place is not what people remember it to be from years ago. There are countless options in Chicago for food & drink - don't squander your time with this one."
