"Took my in-laws here for a nice dinner during their Bay Area visit and they were very pleased. Dinner was fantastic...the garlic bread to start...yum! Around the table we enjoyed a filet with crab & bernaise topping, lamb shank, prime rib and bone-in rib eye. Everyone's steak was cooked just as ordered and were generous portions. The bread pudding dessert was delicious! Service was great too!"

"Drinks from the bar to FOREVER!!! The tab would have been much higher if they would have been quicker. I should have ordered a bottle of wine! Crab dip appetizer, good. Foccacia bread, good. Butternut Squash soup, excellent. Lobster, ok (but i just returned from Boston...) creme brulee, good. The servers brought our entree's while we were still enjoying our soup, salad and appetizer. That's a BIG NO-NO in my book. I don't want to be rushed through a rich meal."

"The food was good and scenery was great.The only downfall I had was that I had requested a candle and singing as I was taking my mentee out for a b-day brunch and he really deserved a nice outing but staff never did what I requested which wasn't great since I only ordered dessert so they could sing to him :( plus the key lime pie was way too bitter! Seems like a good place to take family though, there were quite a few kids/families there. A bit of noise. not bad though."

"My aunt and I had special salmon dishes, both were outstanding and unique. Mine was pan roasted and she had one prepared Asian style--superb. My husband and uncle had the good ole' prime rib, which they finished to the last bite. The location in Jack London square is beautiful, with harbor view from it seems like from every seat. Josh our server was attentive and patient. I think this location is better than the Burlingame one, even though they serve the same menu."

"I love Kincaid's, and this was my second visit. The food is always tasty, and the drinks are really good. In the past, the service was great, but this time, the waitress was just way too involved. She talked at us for a good 5 minutes at the beginning of the meal, giving WAY too much detail, interjecting opinions, and basically distracting us when we really wanted to visit with my Dad who was in town for only one evening. She seemed really friendly, but it felt forced, it was just too much, and she just made herself too much a part of the dinner. I know that wait service is subjective, and some people like a really friendly reception, but this was a bit extreme. I would simply suggest toning it down a bit, otherwise a great place!"

"The views at sunset are gorgeous. The wait staff are all nice. The food is great....and a little-known tip, you can still order the cedar plank salmon even though it's not on the menu. Just ask for it. It is out of this world deeeeeeelicious!"

"The table was a nice big round table for a party of 5. Overall, the food for some was outstanding and others a bit more fair. It seems like the restaurant was understaffed for a Sat. Night. Our waitress seemed to be serving about 1/3-1/2 or the restaurant. So getting things like a water refill was hard."

"food was very good, with more than ample portions. the rib eye and prime rib got rave reviews, in particular.
we had a large group, celebrating a birthday, which i'd mentioned in the reservation, but there was no memory or mention of it once we arrived.
i'd also requested a table with a view in the on-line reservation, but we got that - it was very nice.
it felt odd that the hostess walked us all through the food pick-up area to our table - but it was interesting.
the service felt rushed - they kept wanting to take our plates before we were done with them."

"The staff at Kincaid's was great. We had arrived late and were seated at a window table right away. The view of the bay was incredible. Since we arrived late, we had only an hour to be in and out. Our waiter put our order through right away and we had a beautiful meal and was able to leave with time to spare. The steak was cooked perfectly and my wife said her lobster was incredible. I also highly recommend the crab and artichoke dip. The prices were inline with what I would expect to pay for a meal like we had in a very nice place to eat. We will definitely return again."

"I went to Kincaids with a friend of mine. It was my first time going, I had heard some positive things from her about the restaurant. Finding the place was easy, right by the Jackson St. freeway exit. Walking inside there was a nice ambiance to the place, the smell of the cooking food was wonderful. We had a reservation and were promptly seated. It wasn't long before our waiter had arrived, who was VERY friendly. We ordered our meals as well as an appetizer. After ordering the appetizer we changed our mind, but it was already cooking. Our waiter changed our appetizer for us at no additional charge and gave us the previous appetizer we had ordered as well. The food arrived and was the best steak I have eaten in a long time. I loved it."

"Our waiter was very good. He gave us very good service and was very pleasant. He had a great smile. What I liked best about his service is that he wanted to make sure that we were served in a timely matter by asking us did we have any time contraints. This was a special occasion and we had other timely things that we had to meet. So by him asking the question and then making sure that we were served so that we would not be late for our other engagements helped make our day wonderful!"

"The food and service was excellent. The only negative experince the lady that seated us would not readily give us a window table because it was not included in the request when we had the reservation. I informed her this was my first time at the restuarant and I was not aware to requst a window or that there were windows, then she directed us to a window table. I will recommend and return to the restuarant for dining."

"The food was good. Horrible service! Took 40 minutes to receive our drinks from the time we had ordered them (2 Shirley Temples, 1 water, Jim Beam with Coke back.) The server never asked how each course was when they came out. The orders were correct. The food tasted good, but not worth the price. However, when we ordered the Clam Chowder, we stated that we'd be splitting it .... but we only received one spoon. We had 8:30 p.m. reservations and were seated in a timely manner.. The entire staff was warm and friendly, but not looking around to help out the patrons. It felt like a shift change at a breakfast restaurant. We had most of our food boxed up (kind of got filled up on bread waiting.)"

"This was our second visit and we were overwhelmed with the quality of the food and service. We would never have expected anything like this at a "corporate chain" restaurant. We arrived at 6:30 and the restaurant was full. We had to wait until 7:00 before our drinks were served, but they more than made up for the delay by saying the drinks were on the house. And later a free dessert (creme brule) to boot.
We'll be back."

"Our waiter was very attentive to both the 2 adults and the 2 children. The food was delicious, the appetizers that we shared was the calamari and the brie cheese dish, both were very tasty. I had the stuffed chicken with mushrooms, it was exquisite. the creme brulee is one of the best. I highly recommend this place to eat."

"Good food and great Service. Maitre D' went to extra efforts to get us a table by the window. Our wait staff appropriately attentive: there when we needed her, thinking of our needs, not obtrusive. Good value."

"Hit the earlybird specials by accident (between 5-6 p.m.). Great meal for a very reasonable price. The restaurant features a 3 course meal with entrees chosen from their house favorites (about 6-7) including coffee, tea, or soda. Reasonable corkage fee. Three in my party had the Hawaiian ribs and I had the Kobe beef meat loaf. All outstanding. The portions are smaller than the normal entrees, but certainly enough for each of us in our party. You'd need a big appetite to finish the regular size portions."

"We had a stellar experience at Kincaides. We had been there before, but this was the first time with our long time friends from LA. The ambiance was great, food outstanding and service by Maya from Nepal--most excellent. Prices were white table cloth high--but worth it."

"We have found a new favorite restaurant near our marina for those times when we want a nice evening out. My husband had the grilled seafood ravioli & I had the halibut. Both were excellent. The wine list was good & not over extensive but with several very nice bottles. On an early Sunday evening the restaurant was busy but not quite full & the noise level was acceptable. The view of the Estuary was a plus. Our wait person was knowlegeable about the manu & attentive without being overbearing."

"The service from the front door to the goodbyes at the end of the dining experience was exceptional. I've been several times before and always try a different dish and haven't been disappointed yet. The food is actually an experience in itself. The presentation is excellent - makes you want to dig in and the taste makes you glad you did. I would recommend Kincaid's to anyone and everyone. It's great for special occasions, business lunchs, romantic dinners and just a place to take friends to fellowship (all of which I've done). Simply sublime!"
