"Not very impressed especially after reading reviews. We expected a better menu and service. The lunch menu was very limited to basically bar food. Our service was lacking. When greeted by the host and when we asked how he was doing, he said he really wish he wasn't there. Our food runner was the only friendly member of the staff we encountered. It is a brewery yet our server never mentioned their beer once. Would not go back."

"Hardly any crab in the crab salad. Pushed the salad around to try and find some. Told waitress and she immediately brough out a small plate of extra crab. Pasta dish with crab and cream sauce was watery and unflavorful. Pasta was overcooked. What saved the dish was the cheese or else dish would have been completely bland. Would not recommend to friends.

"We have been to the Tun Tavern several times and have enjoyed our experience there each time. This time, however, was different. We made reservations for Restaurant Week. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told that the manager had decided not to participate in Restaurant Week at the last minute. That was disappointing, and while I can appreciate that the restaurant was quite busy due to the car show next door, it is poor business practice to advertise for something that you can't do. In addition, the service was poor due to the many people in the restaurant. Our waitress was curt and rushed us out of the restaurant. Being busy is a great thing for a restaurant, but it is not a good reason to sacrifice customer service."

"Went on Valentine's night, a weeknight, with my wife. Easy to get to. Free parking directly across the street. Casual dress. Not crowded. Had a couple drinks at the bar before dinner. Tried 3 different Tun beers. Enjoyed them all. The calamari appetizer was awesome. I got Wasabi Tuna. It was good though not mouth watering. My wife got Jumbo Lump Crab Pasta. That was very good. Lot of crab meat. The warm apple cobbler w/ vanilla ice cream for dessert was very good. The steaks on the menu looked mouth watering though pricy. I will probably try one the next time. Was so full I didn't buy a growler of beer to take home but kind of wish I did. Overall we enjoyed our evening at the Tun."

"When we were here some years ago for a different convention we found the food to be very good. This time it was awful. Many times when we are out to eat we order two entrees and split them in half and switch with each other. It gives us to try to different things at one time. I ordered a Chicken Chessesteak and my husband ordered their version of French Dip Roast Beef Sandwich. The roast beef looked like it been sitting for hours in it's Au Jus and had no flavor, just boiled beef. My Chessesteak was on a huge roll that made it look like you were getting a lot but once you cut the extra bread away you had a moderate sandwich that was fair.
I would compare it to a typical Truck Stop Restaurant. My advice go find somewhere else to ea"

"i have been at Tun's tavern several times. This time there was a huge event at the convention and the football playoff's. They were out of 2 popular appetize's that a tavern should always have, onion rings and chicken wings . They are the best,I have to say they gave us a 15% discount to compsate us. All in all ,I would go back . I hope they learn how to stock up by checking what event's are going on ."
