X2O Xaviars on the Hudson
X2O Xaviars on the Hudson is Peter X Kelly’s latest addition to the Xaviars Restaurant Group. It sits in the water on the only turn of the century Victorian pier still in use on the Hudson River. X2O’s Main Dining Salon's 25 foot vaulted ceiling and 3 walls of glass frame offers views of the George Washington and Tappan Zee Bridges, as well as sunsets over the Palisades. Guests encounter dishes incorporating classic French technique with Italian and Spanish influences, and Asian embellishments which create a wholly original cuisine unique to the Hudson Valley. The Dylan Lounge is a vibrant, up-tempo space with a sophisticated and playful bent that offers guests more dining options. Guests are invited to sample a variety of small plates and sushi, while dining at the Communal Table, sushi bar, or at traditional banquette and table seating.

"For both special occasions and simply a nice dinner, X20 is always our go to restaurant. We always leave happy. The menu offers so many great dishes. We love the octopus, the sashimi, BLT salad, escargot, quail, cowboy rib eye, salmon, and on and on! The service is very warm and professional and we always get a bear hug of a hello from Peter. Our last visit Peter gave us a taste of his new Slovenia Vodka. We loved it. X20 and the Moderne Barn are our favorite Westchester restaurants. No need to dine anywhere else!"

"We love, love, love this restaurant for the Sunday brunch. You can't beat the value! A three-course prixe fix brunch for $38 including unlimited prosecco cocktails. The food is always wonderful and the specials that we enjoyed this time around were absolutely amazing. If you have children, steer clear of the regular children's options which are either chicken fingers or pasta for $10 and ask instead to have children's sized portions of the dishes on the main menu, which they will do for you for half price. Our three year old is a little foodie in the making and refused both the chicken fingers and pasta, but was thrilled with her sirloin."

"We came with a large family group of 13 (our outliers were 8 and 80 years old) from all over to celebrate a graduation. This restaurant came through. The staff was superb at taking care of our wide age range and widely varying desires. The food we ordered was well prepared and well timed. The soft shell crab special was perfect. The meatl eaters ordered rare and were glad they did (it was rare to medium rare). The wine list seemed stronger on the whites than the reds (we sampled 5 bottles). The desserts were lovely (cheesecake interesting, carrot cake icing excellent) and the special attention to our guest of honor (Fordham graduate) was great. We had a huge round table in a corner but felt the best view... was from the restroom!"

"We have been here many times and it has never been anything less than exceptional. The food, whether we get the specials of the day or standbys such as the Cowboys Rib eye or the Duck for two, is always delicious, inventive and bursting with flavor. The staff is friendly, attentive, professional and knowledgeable about the menu. We have gone here for special occasions with the family and for "date nights". We went this time with a Groupon and figured the menu would be more limited. But it wasnt and it was such a great deal! I would recommend this place without hesitation (and I often do). The views are lovely, the setting is calm and relaxing and it is a sure thing. Peter Kelly always gets it right!"

"There is so much to rave about! The personal touches from each member of the warm and welcoming staff throughout the meal made the experience feel like it was tailored to our special celebration. Chef Peter Kelly personally greeted us and took the time to assure that each detail was satisfactory - with the quality of the incredible food is perfection enough. It's impossible not to taste the care and passion of a talented chef, and when that is beautifully presented in a scenic and romantic ambiance, the tactful touches of the knowledgeable and attentive Restaurant Floor Manager, the Server, the courteous bus staff all lead to perfection. Most amazing dining experience we've had, thank you all for making the celebration so spectacular!"

"My wife and I had dinner here on Mother's Day. While the restaurant was full, the service was impecable. From the greeting, to table service and wine, you really couldn't expect better. I attribute this to management. Owner Peter Kelly was working that day and he really was working. We had a terrific window table, looking south to NYC. Dinner was a prix fix full menu with quality and wide selections. The ahi tuna appitizer was excellent, while my wife had the seafood crepe, also very good. We both had the Skate wing, pan seared, delicate and flavorful. Bottle of wine with dinner and outrageous desserts. My only "issue" was maybe just a bit too much food for me - however, I ate it all without regret! Great dinning experience.Recommend highly"

"Food seems more fussy and trying to be different than just interesting and tasty. For example, my green salad was over-dressed, and the leaves were a little tough to justify the price. The skate, which our server said was a flaky white fish was served crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside, not flaky, white, OR tasty. The dessert, however, was wonderful--a passionfruit meringue. My husband had the scallops which were one of the evening's specials, and his food was excellent.
I think for the prices they charge, everything should be just a little better, and concentrate on the taste, not the arcane-ness of the ingredient list.

"This was our 6th ot 7th visit and everything was excellent as usual. We (me, wife, 2 children) had dinner for Mother's Day (eve). Peter Kelly, chef/owner, visited our table twice to chat and check on us. X2O is always consistently good food, service and, of course, the view of the Hudson. Definitely Manhattan-level cuisine experience in the 'burbs, which is quite difficult to find. We've brought 3 different sets of friends here and never have had to worry about whether they would like it."

"My husband and I had dinner at X20 Friday night for the first time. The food, delicious, excellent wine & before dinner drinks. The ambiance, which takes on the views up & down the Hudson River & Palisades, lovely. Spending much time dinning in Manhattan, we so appreciated the fact that all of the tables are so wonderfully spaced apart. This & the view creates the beautiful & relaxing dinning experience. It also appeared that it would be great for outdoor dinning. The service was personal and excellent. We definitely plan on returning."

"I have eaten here many times with small groups or just as a couple. The food and service have always been extraordinary and the views are to die for. On this last visit for brunch, everything was delicious, as usual, and the service was initially enthusiastic and efficient. Something happened, however, between appetizers and the main course and it all began to slow down to the point where we waited an interminable amount of time for our dessert and finally, the check. So disappointing for a restaurant I like so much! Couldn't help noticing also that the upholstery on our chairs was stained...I will return because the food and views are so special, but I hope X2O can resolve those service problems!"

"Watch out for the appetizers. I ordered the mango salad. It was very well presented on its fine china plate. But, so little for the big price. It actually was about 1/4oz of freshly finely cubed mango pieces arranged with flower petals. No green lettuce at all. The entree Roast Duck was execellant although a bit pricey. I would recommend this restuarant for special occassions. A night to remember. Avoid the appetizers and be ready to reach deep in your pockets when the check arrives."

"The weather was 'perfect' and the view of the Hudson was 'perfect'. The restaurant is worth the train ride from NYC for its ambience and the view. I had eaten at X2O before and had loved the experience. My friends were new to and loved the restaurant.
My steak was 'well' done not 'medium rare' as ordered. I pointed this out to waiter, but there was no offer to change. I did not pursue with a complaint, as my friends were enjoying everything that they had ordered, and I did not want to mare our urban adventure."

"X2O is a Yonkers Waterfront Gem! For my one year anniversary they pulled out all the stops and accommodated my request for a great table with a view; my husband and I gazed at the NYC skyline and GW bridge while feasting on decadent seasonal dishes. The service was impeccable and they even brought out a special "happy anniversary" dessert plate which I didn't even ask for. They value their customers and go beyond to ensure your dining experience is one to remember. I would definitely recommend X2O to my friends and family."

"The food and service were wonderful. Really nice touch when chef/owner Peter Kelly came out to say hello. The restaurant is beautiful and I don't think there is a bad table.

Only problem is getting there. It's just out of the way and you have to drive through alot of local pot holed streets with lots of lights to get there but worth it."

"One of my new favorites...being gluten free as well as primarily a vegetarian lifestyle...the chef made a dish that I requested. Every dish was beautiful, creative and so delicious that you didn't want the meal toend...it's a good thing we went with people we enjoyed being with so that we could savor every bite! The service was impeccable...they treated each guest as if you were royalty, I simply cannot recommend it enough! And the owner/chef visited with us on both occasions ... A really nice touch."

"FANTASTIC! All that one would look for in a romantic, quiet setting. And a great view too. The food was inventive and outstanding. We started with an escorgot in bone-marrow appetizer; yum. Only disappointment - we received the entree too soon. Maitre d' was very apologetic. Our waitress was personality-starved, but efficient. We're looking forward to our next time."

"A wonderful experience, with spectacular views all around. You feel like you're on a boat on the Hudson. To our left, we could see the GW Bridge and the New York City skyline and to our right we could see the Tappan Zee Bridge. The food was outstanding with service that made us feel like honored guests. The chef came out to ask us how our experience was. I had written in my OpenTable reservation that it was a birthday celebration for my fiance. I only put that in to request a table with a nice view. When they brought our desert, they had very tastefully written on her plate (in rasberry sauce) "happy birthday." That was very nice of them."

"It was a long experience. We sat down at least 30 minutes after our reservation time of 7:30. We did not order until almost 9pm. A long night, but with good friends so it wasn't so bad. The place was beautiful and everyone was extremely nice."
