Via Lago Trattoria offers fine dining Italian cuisine. We have a spacious dining room with a full bar and outdoor patio surrounded by a fountain. Our head chef is from Sicily.
"We went to Via Lago for the Mother's Day brunch. The jazz guitarist was pleasant enough but so loud that he drowned out any possibility of conversation. Even a request to the waiter to ask for it to be turned down resulted in no change. I'm sorry Open Table's noise level indicator doesn't have a choice at the high end other than energetic. The noise level was disturbing. And the racket wasn't coming from the customers."

"The restaurant was very busy when we arrived and a little noisy for us... Lot's of energy! However, the food was quite good and our server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu."

"We celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary at Via Lago. We'd made reservations, so were promptly seated when we arrived. We ordered an appetizer, clams with serrano chiles & tomatoe, etc. It was very good, it had just the right kick. My wife ordered an arugula salad w/pumkin seeds, pomegranite, apple & goat cheese with a lemon dressing. She loved it. I had a ceasar salad which was good. The anchovies were placed on top. I prefer them mixed into the dressing, but don't get me wrong, the salad was good. My wife had a shrimp dish with mashed potatoes & asparagus. She loved it. I had linquine w/shrimp & a touch of crab in an outstanding sauce. They brought us a complimentary desert for our anniversary. Outstanding evening!"

"Was hoping his wouldn't be another busalacchi mistake, but I was wrong, the basic marinara lacked garlic, and best resembled spaghetti o's, while my wife's chicken piccata was very very salty, add a long wait time to this mix and an overpriced bill, and you have a bad experience."

"Thoroughly enjoyable evening. My husband loves the Pescatore fettuccine. We have been to this restaurant as a couple, but this last time went with other friends and they were equally impressed. Love the live piano singer in the background!"

"Have dined here regularly in past months, ALWAYS loved (and ordered the arugula salad, HOWEVER.......................) they have changed the ingredients inthe salad and not nearly as good. Also, obvious, portion served considerably smaller."

"Service was excellent and the food was delicious. We sat outside and it got bit cooler than we had expected it to. However, it was very quiet and relaxing on the patio outside. They had heaters outside and offered to turn them on or move them closer to accommodate us. We will be back soon!"

"Even though it's in a strip mall, Via Lago is an exceptional restaurant. Anything with the pink sauce is amazing. The drinks aren't too overpriced, but they make up for it with the entree costs. Live music was great on the Friday night that we went."

"Waited 1hour 30 minutes for our dinner to be served on Valentines evening. Hoping that the food would be worth the wait and was let down there as well. Won't be going back."

"The food was bellow bar. It was my father, sister and I. We order from the 3 course for $20 menu and maybe that was our mistake. Fit the first course, my father had the Caesar salad and he said "Eh". My sister and I had the bruschetta. It wad byfar the must decent good of the three courses. Then we had the Alfredo fettucine with chicken ($5 extra for the chicken) and lasagna made with Ragu. The fettucine was ok but the lasagna was not to be desired. It really tasted like they just poured the ragu on and microwaved it. What really disappointed me the most was the desert. We had tiramisu and was bland, super spongy as if it was frozen and deforested. At the end of the night, we shelled out $93 including drinks and left disappointed!"

"My husband and I gave it a try for restaurant week, but the kitchen was overwhelmed and the service was non-existant.Every encounter we had with our waiter we felt we were rushed and he had to run off to his other patrons. While the food was tasty, it was not mind blowingly delicious. It was just regular good food. No frills, no thrills! We did order off the restaurant week prefix menu and were disappointed with the fist course. It was almost tapas style. The entree was full size, which was a nice touch. I would go back, but probably not during restaurant week, when they are not so backed up."
