"Don't go expecting there will be many different pastas on the menu like most italian restaurants. Instead, it is modern Italian cuisine with some unexpected combinations. The mussels appetizer and quail were especially good. They offered a small side dish of polenta with a brown butter drizzle...heavenly and rich...good for sharing. Cocktails were great...they came with a single gigantic clear ice cube! I kind of wish there was bread to sop up the incredible sauce from the steamed mussels. (BTW, it a large enough portion to serve as an entree. Or for two or more to share as an appetizer.) We will go back for sure!"

"I had the carbonara and my wife had the bone marrow. The carbonara was a 'dallop' of fresh pasta. It cost almost $20 and didn't wow me. My wife said the marrow was overly salty. The restaurant is very comfortable and nicely decorated. All-in-all it is a nice place for a special occasion but nothing that blew me away."

"I've been to cucina 24 more times than I could count over the past two years. My only regret is that I didn't give it a chance sooner. The food is creative...always executed on point...and always delicious. We usually get a variety of small plates, drinks, and dessert. I also appreciate the details. The drinks from the bar are handcrafted and original. Also, sometimes great restaurants drop the ball when it comes to dessert, but not the case here. Not to mention, the service is always on point. I cannot say enough good thing about this place. It's a date night regular for us."

We had the apple fritters for dessert, very good. Service was great. I would say after 7pm on a Friday or Saturday have reservations. Bar area small and they have a semi private table by the bar. "Best scallops in town (if not anywhere)! Poached halibut was delicious. Presentation is exquisite. Attentive, friendly, helpful servers in a modern setting. Only distraction is cramped space in certain areas of the restaurant necessitated by the site configuration. Portions are satisfying to me but could be seen as meager by some.

"Incredible, simply incredible. Local ingredients with unusual presentation and combinations equals an unforgettable meals. Roasted bone marrow is a standout, as well as anything they do with white sardines, pork, and/or prosciutto. One of the top 4 restaurants in Asheville in our opinion (Table, Rezaz, Curate & Cucina24). Superior wine list and impeccable service, too."

"Had a business dinner at Cucina 24 with 8 diners. Food, and service were great. Three of us had the carbonara, might have been the best I've eaten. A couple of people thought the portion was too small, I thought it was right-sized, in other words, not too big."

"Took a visiting friend to probably the top 5 restaurants in Asheville this weekend. Cucina was the best. The San Franciscan agreed. Best food. Sat at chef's bar. We were treated to lots of extras and were taken care of by both kitchen staff and wait staff."

"This is one of the most engaging menus I have run across in a long time. Small plates and desserts in particular were remarkably creative: inventive food, beautifully presented. Service was knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. A great feature for foodies -- we were invited to taste an unknown wine before making our decisions! All in all, a memorable evening. "We brought out of town friends here on a Friday night. They expect amazing things from Asheville restaurants, and Cucina did not disappoint! The four of us had salads, the chicken liver fois gras appetizer (possibly the BEST appetizer I've ever had) chicken specials, pork chop dinner and a pizza. While every dish was outstanding, the guys were trying to figure out how to copy the pork chops at home. Good luck with that. We've been here many times, and always loved the food and ambiance, and we will certainly we back."

"Cucina 24 provided the perfect start to a delectable evening. With tickets to the symphony, we had early reservations, but by the time our entree was served, the restaurant appeared to be full. Although not quiet, the noise level was low enough to comfortably have private conversation. The freshness of the food was clearly evident. The flavors were light and delightful. Service was perfect: welcoming, attentive to our needs without hovering. Sharing was not a problem so we could expand our experience. The Italian wine we selected was a perfect pairing for our Italian sea bass and scallops. We are in Asheville at least three to four times a year and will definitely be visiting again!"
