"Took my mom to Annona on Mother's Day for dinner, and it was very good. Outstanding service. Very attentive waitstaff, and a friendly hostess. Ambiance was good, but not out of the ordinary for a restaurant at a many-star hotel. Really enjoyed the food, especially the trio of appetizers and trio of desserts, which gave my mom and I lots to try and experience. Entree was a perfectly done prime rib, which I barely finished because it was so big. Overall, a nice experience, and recommended. Final note: They did an excellent job making all the moms feel extra special. Everyone on staff wished my mom Happy Mother's Day, and at the end, she got a small gift bag of sweets to take home. Nice touch. My mom loved it, and that's all that matters."

"We went for Winterlicious. Their food was impeccable as usual. (although the desert--especially the chocolate lava cake was bit disappointing, but the scallop and halibut were perfect.) One thing that really bothered us as the service. Honestly, my expectation for the service at Annona is always high, based on my past experiences. But it was such disappointment during my last visit, cause, first of all, they stopped to serving us water after we payed our bill. (we were in the middle of the discussion, so we stayed for about ten more mins) What's more was when they took away our finished dishes, one of the waiter carelessly dropped the sauce on my hand and my clothes. I was expecting more professional services at Annona."

"Lunch was... okay. It really wasn't anything special, when special was kind of expected for a restaurant in one of the celebrity-laden hotels in the city.
The pasta that both my friend and I ordered read healthy, but also tasted healthy. I want healthy that tastes devilish! Our other friend ordered the salmon, and did enjoy that more.
Service was very slow; 15 minutes just to get a glass of water, and at least another 10 for ordered beverages. We had to ask for bread, ask for butter, ask for the bill at the end. I know it was Sunday, a relaxed day, but 2 hours for lunch is too much.
We won't rush back."

"This place was a nice and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We were seated quickly and the food was good. However, It took a long time for service and the server was not nice, never outright rude but not nice at all. The restaurant was very quiet since it was a very cold Tuesday night and we waited over 5 mins for water and 10 mins for him to take our orders. For that reason I would not go back; we do not mind paying for high quality food but being ignored and treated that way we were not satisfied."

"The food was very good but the service was poor. We ordered a bottle of wine and had to remind the waiter that we had. As well, the wait for our appetizers was acceptable but it took over 40 minutes to get our entrees after our appetizer plates had been cleared and our waiter was nowhere to be found. One of the water servers had to check on our order. No explanation or apology was offered."

"It's hard to find a nicer, closer restaurant to Koerner Hall if C5 isn't open. The food at Annona is hit and miss in my experience, though. The starters are great but the mains are disappointing. The scallops in the surf and turf are gritty and sandy and it's hard to find something that doesn't come with a heavy sauce. The matzah ball soup and mushroom tart starters are great, though."

"This is my second time having afternoon tea at the Annona and I was very happy that they had improvements in the service. I remember complaining that they had just plopped down our food and walked away without an explanation. This time around, the server had taken great care to explain every single item on the menu! The food was still mediocre, I must say. I think they should just serve delicious finger sandwiches rather than do their own creative spin on them. The desserts were not bad! I did not quite like this mint item touching my eclair... :-C"

"Some of the food wa excellent, but some of the selection,like. The pasta was mediocre at best. Dessert was fabulous. I would have rated the service excellent, except they messed one one of the order and included bacon when we had asked to exclude it and they had to replace it so my so got his lunch later than everyone else. "We (two good friends) got together for lunch. The restaurant was not packed (as some dinners I had there) so it was no "rush" and our time there was much more enjoyable! Service, food and ambiance all great. Generous portions even tho it's "Winterlicious", desserts (creme Brulee) just right, love the sugar-berries! Thank you Annona!"

"Wonderful food. Blessedly free of loud music and hooting patrons. Attentive but not over-attentive staff. Dignified dining without trendiness or snobbery. Good prices, especially for the more than good food. A great place to have a great meal with friends."
